Chapter 301

Yelan looked at Takumi speechlessly.

"What the hell is Anbu? What the hell is the root?"

"Don't mess with these weird departments, okay?"

After Takumi sat down, he asked Ningguang, "Are you all ready? Are you sure there's nothing wrong?"

Hearing Takumi say this, Ningguang nodded. "Everything is prepared. We're ready for anything. By the way, are you really not going to help me copy the Qunyu Pavilion?"

Ningguang still hadn't given up on this idea. She really wanted to use the Qunyu Pavilion as a weapon just once. It seemed like such a cool move.

As long as it wasn't her own Qunyu Pavilion, destroying it would feel amazing.

Listening to her, Takumi rolled his eyes. "No need! We can just re-seal Osial. Although I really want to kill it, doing so would pollute the surrounding sea."

Having said that, Takumi touched his chin, thinking. How could he kill Osial without contaminating the sea?

After a Demon God dies, their remains linger for decades, leaving behind a tainted residue called "karma." In Inazuma, they call it "Tatarigami." This residue carries a curse, similar to nuclear waste.

For instance, after the Salt God died, the land became a barren, saline wasteland. But Takumi thought that, in the future, this place could be repurposed into salt fields. That wouldn't be too bad.

"Isn't that a kind of gold mine?" Takumi mused. "Those descendants of the Salt God really don't see the opportunity in front of them."

Killing Osial was something he could only consider for now. In the end, sealing it again seemed to be the only viable option.

"That's absolutely impossible," Ningguang firmly stated. "The Demon God's residue is too dangerous."

Ningguang shook her head in rejection. Killing Osial? Just a fantasy.

"If there was a way to eliminate the Demon God's residue, then yes, we could kill Osial," Ye Lan added.

Hearing this, everyone fell silent. That was a good point—but how could they eliminate the Demon God's residue?

If it were easy, Liyue would be much larger and more habitable. The land was littered with places unfit for living due to the countless Demon Gods defeated by Morax.

Only in modern times had some of these places become habitable again.

The residue left behind from Osial's death would be a massive problem, so resealing it was the only solution.

Regarding the sealing method, Ningguang already had a plan. She took out a document and handed it to Takumi, along with a small box.

"This is the sealing stone. It can be used to suppress Osial and seal it again. The document contains information about its composition. Can you analyze its materials and replicate it? If not, we'll have to create another Qunyu Pavilion to suppress Osial."

Takumi took the stone and weighed it in his hand. "I can do it! I can easily copy this using the Geo Archon's Gnosis. The material is similar to the rock spears Zhongli uses."

Ningguang nodded. "Ye Lan brought this back from The Chasm. Since you can replicate it, our plan is complete."

The worst-case scenario would have been using the Qunyu Pavilion to suppress Osial, but now that Takumi could replicate the sealing stone, there would be no need for that. They could just reseal Osial directly.

After discussing Osial, Ningguang shifted the topic to post-ceremony plans.

"We need to continue building schools and expanding technological development. Also, Mond's power grid is nearly complete. After this, Inazuma will likely require our assistance with its infrastructure. Our primary focus will be on Mond and Inazuma, especially since we need their Electro Crystals. Now that Inazuma has reopened, many merchants are heading there. If we want to sell Liyue's electrical appliances there, we first need to establish their power grid. However, this isn't something we can do immediately."

She continued, "By the way, I've heard that Snezhnaya's alchemists have started replicating some of our electrical appliances. They've developed something similar to an induction cooker. It's likely they'll enter the market soon."

Hearing this, Takumi sighed. "Even if they replicate our technology, it won't matter. They can't sell it to us, and without a power grid, their products are useless. Producing an induction cooker isn't difficult; any skilled alchemist can create one. However, they still need electricity to use them, and they certainly won't be able to sell to us."

Takumi understood Ningguang's concern—she was worried that Snezhnaya's imitations would compete with Liyue's products.

But that wasn't a problem. "Besides, they'll probably develop their own power grid soon enough. Their alchemists are highly skilled, and their technology is advanced. If they focus on civilian technology instead of weapons, they could achieve a lot."

Takumi wouldn't even be surprised if Snezhnaya managed to replicate an entire vehicle industry in the near future.

Most of their current research was focused on weapons, but if they decided to enter the civilian market, they would be a formidable competitor.

Takumi chuckled. "They probably already have their own equivalent of our tech. If we ever hear about them building something similar to our cars, I won't be surprised."

Listening to Takumi, Ningguang nodded. "That makes sense. Even if Snezhnaya advances in technology, we shouldn't worry too much."

Takumi leaned back. "Exactly. Let them develop whatever they want. We'll just focus on improving our own advancements."
