Chapter 389

The debt handler left, leaving only three people in the dimly lit room: the Lady, Childe, and Scaramouche.

As soon as the debt handler withdrew, the Lady's expression darkened.

"Things have changed!" she said sharply. "We need to report this to Her Majesty, immediately."

Things were beginning to spiral beyond their control. Two versions of the Raiden Shogun plus a puppet? That meant one was the real Shogun, and the other two were artificial constructs.

No matter how they looked at it, this was beyond their capability to handle. Three against one might have given them a slim chance, but three against three? That was a death sentence. One wrong move, and they could all perish here.

Childe nodded solemnly, acknowledging the severity of the situation. As for Scaramouche, his face was filled with confusion.

"What exactly is going on? Why is there another one? Did she create another puppet? That should be impossible..."

For a moment, Scaramouche was lost in thought. But the Lady and Childe were not about to waste time. Without hesitation, they activated a special communication device to relay their findings directly to the Tsaritsa.

When the Queen of Ice received their report, a flicker of surprise crossed her usually cold demeanor.

"Are you certain?" she asked, her tone still composed but laced with intrigue.

"Yes, Your Majesty," the Lady confirmed.

After a brief silence, the Tsaritsa responded, "It appears that the first Raiden Shogun has been resurrected. They must have traveled to Liyue prior to this. Interesting... I hadn't expected such a power to exist."

With that, she ended the communication abruptly.

Childe and the Lady exchanged confused glances.

"What do we do now?" Childe asked hesitantly.

The Lady, however, seemed lost in thought, repeating the word "resurrection" under her breath.

"The original Shogun... resurrected? If that's true, then..."

A sudden, feverish glint appeared in her eyes.

"Let's go!" she ordered. "If it truly is the original Shogun, we have nothing to fear. She wasn't known for her combat prowess. And perhaps—just perhaps—we can extract information about the power of resurrection from her."

Childe felt a chill run down his spine.

"Wait, wait, wait—you're saying we should just charge in there? Are you out of your mind? The first Shogun may not have been a warrior, but do you really think the others will just stand by and watch?"

The Lady ignored him and strode out confidently.

"Crazy, absolutely crazy," Childe muttered under his breath.

Scaramouche, on the other hand, frowned deeply. "I need to see this for myself."

With that, they followed the Lady, gathering their forces as they moved.

The fools marched straight for Tenshukaku, their presence impossible to ignore. The shogunate soldiers spotted them immediately, and within moments, alarms blared across the fortress.

The warning reached the castle tower swiftly. Within its halls, Raiden Makoto, Raiden Ei, and the puppet Raiden Shogun sat together. Upon hearing the report, they exchanged glances, their expressions unreadable.

"The Fatui..." Makoto mused. "Is this about the Electro Archon's Gnosis?"

Raiden Ei frowned and immediately reached for her sword. "They are charging in with their forces. This is an open declaration of war."

Makoto, however, remained calm. "Then you handle it, sister. If they want the Gnosis, let them have it. Takumi has plenty of them. Give them a fake one if necessary."

Ei nodded, her determination unwavering. "Understood. I will deal with them."

Seeing Ei rise to her feet, the puppet Shogun also moved to follow, but Makoto gently stopped her.

"Let Ei handle this," she said with a soft smile. "After all, she is the best at dealing with fools."

The puppet Shogun hesitated, then nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, Ayato Kamisato, who had been quietly listening, was stunned by their composure.

"I must admit, your ability to remain calm in the face of imminent battle is truly something else."

Makoto simply chuckled. "It is merely a matter of perspective."

As the discussion continued inside, Ei stepped out of the castle tower. In a flash of lightning, she disappeared.

The Fatui agents barely had time to react before she reappeared before them, her violet eyes glowing with electricity.

Childe, the Lady, and Scaramouche stopped in their tracks.

"A quick response," Childe muttered. "This is bad."

Ei's gaze swept across the group before landing on Scaramouche. A flicker of recognition passed through her eyes.

"Kunikuzushi?"

At the mention of that name, Scaramouche's expression darkened, his hands clenching into fists.

"Do not call me that!" he spat angrily.

Childe barely suppressed a laugh. "So even the great Scaramouche has embarrassing childhood nicknames. Good to know."

Ignoring the banter, the Lady took a bold step forward.

"Where is the original Shogun? Bring her here!"

Ei narrowed her eyes. "And who are you to demand such things?"

The tension in the air thickened, electricity crackling around her blade.

Childe instinctively took a step back. "Something feels off. She's stronger than before..."

The Lady was undeterred. "Tell me! How did she come back to life?!"

Ei smirked, raising her sword. "That is none of your concern. Now, leave, or face the consequences."

Childe sighed heavily. "Welp, guess we're doing this. Lady, next time, let's pick our battles more wisely."

And with that, the fight began.
