Chapter 408

Klee, Qiqi, Yaoyao, Sayu, Diona, and Ganyu were all present at that moment.

Ganyu was overseeing the work, while Klee was busy blasting away obstacles. Aside from them, several other workers were also on site.

Behind them, a newly carved-out road bore evidence of Klee's handiwork.

Takumi descended from the sky in his vehicle, and Ganyu immediately noticed him.

"Takumi?"

Hearing Ganyu's voice, several of the little girls also turned to look.

Klee, who had been setting off explosions, suddenly paused.

She had also heard Ganyu's call.

Turning her head, Klee spotted her beloved Takumi big brother.

"Takumi big brother!!"

Her eyes sparkled with excitement.

Without a second thought, she dropped the bomb she had been holding and ran straight toward him.

The moment Takumi stepped out of his vehicle, Klee leaped into his arms.

"Hehe~~!"

"Takumi big brother, why are you here?"

"Did you come to see Klee?"

"That's great!!"

Klee was beyond thrilled.

Takumi chuckled as he held her, looking down at the excited girl with amusement.

"Yes, I came to see Klee. How's everything going? Are you enjoying it here?"

Klee eagerly nodded. "I love it here! There are so many fun things to do!"

She then looked up at Takumi, eyes gleaming with excitement.

"Did you see, Takumi big brother? Klee has blasted away so many rocks!"

"And you can fry fish down below too!!"

That last part seemed especially important to her.

Indeed, fishing with bombs had become Klee's new pastime.

Beneath the cave, there were plenty of fish. Klee often took Qiqi and the others out on "fishing trips," which inevitably ended with explosive results and extra meals.

No matter how much Ganyu tried to stop her, it was futile.

Eventually, Ganyu simply gave up.

As long as their actions didn't lead to a collapse, she decided to let them be.

However, every time Klee lobbed a bomb, Ganyu couldn't help but feel nervous.

After all, The Chasm was filled with unstable mines.

One wrong move, and a massive landslide could occur.

But oddly enough, Klee's absurd luck always ensured that nothing catastrophic happened.

So, in the end, Ganyu allowed it.

Takumi smiled and ruffled Klee's hair.

"Well done."

After praising her, he let her go, and Ganyu stepped forward.

"Takumi, what brings you here?"

She was curious.

Why had he suddenly come to The Chasm?

"Just checking in," Takumi replied. "Also, where is everyone else? Haven't they returned yet?"

He scanned the area, looking for familiar faces.

Ganyu nodded. "They all went deeper underground. It's been several days now."

"The monsters on this level have mostly been cleared out, so the others headed further below."

"Recently, they discovered traces of the Abyss Order down there."

She spoke seriously.

If it weren't for the need to watch over the younger ones, Ganyu would have gone down as well.

Luckily, Yelan and Yanfei were handling things below.

Takumi nodded, glancing toward the mine entrance but saying nothing.

"How long is Klee planning to stay here?" he asked instead.

It had already been a while since they had arrived.

Ganyu handed Takumi a blueprint.

"Take a look."

"Klee's demolition work is only a third of the way done."

"There's still a lot left."

Takumi curiously examined the blueprint.

As he compared it to the landscape before him, he saw several designated blast points along the path.

The planned road twisted and turned in a wild, erratic pattern.

Eighteen bends in the road? No, more like dozens.

After studying the blueprint, Takumi handed it back.

"I see."

"Looks like Klee will be here for quite a while."

"But if she ever gets bored, she can return home for a bit before coming back."

"This road will take time to complete, after all."

Takumi offered his suggestion casually.

Klee's eyes brightened.

"Klee thinks so too!"

"When little Paimon comes back, we'll go home for a bit!"

Takumi chuckled. "Alright. Sounds like a plan."

"Keep up the good work. I have things to do."

He hadn't forgotten his mission.

He needed to check on the signaling devices.

And there was also the matter of the signal connection to Sumeru.

"Are you here for something important? Need help?" Ganyu asked curiously.

Takumi shook his head. "No, just keep doing what you're doing."

"I'll be done soon."

He didn't need anyone else for this.

All he had to do was set up a few more signal devices to extend the network range toward Sumeru.

There wasn't even a need for him to travel all the way there.

After setting up the devices, Takumi planned to head deeper into The Chasm.

If possible, he wanted to connect signals to the lower levels as well.

And there was something else underground—something resembling a nail.

That, too, required investigation.

Ganyu didn't press further.

Takumi bid farewell to Klee and the others, then took off on his bike, flying toward Dansha Cliff.

As he traveled, he scanned the surroundings.

The Chasm was truly vast.

Was this really a land once inhabited by the Yakshas?

He had to admit—he had underestimated its size before.

Reaching Dansha Cliff, Takumi spotted one of the existing signal devices.

Upon closer inspection, he realized why it wasn't transmitting to Sumeru.

It had been placed too far back.

Yelan had likely positioned it with the intention of covering The Chasm and Huaguang Stone Forest, not extending it beyond.

Takumi wasted no time.

He moved further ahead and installed a new signal device closer to Sumeru's border.

Once he confirmed that it was functioning, he continued installing additional devices along the mountains.

His goal was to strengthen the connection in the area.

After completing his work, Takumi checked his phone.

He then sent a message to Shenhe, requesting that more signal devices be placed at Nantianmen and Huaguang Stone Forest.

Shenhe promptly agreed and began making arrangements.

She instructed her people to retrieve surplus signal devices that hadn't been sold and repurpose them for the installations.

This process would take some time.

However, Takumi hadn't specified a deadline.

So, they would install them at their own pace.

After receiving Shenhe's confirmation, Takumi turned back toward The Chasm.

It was time to venture underground.

As for the Void System…

That could wait until he returned.
