The time came to the second day.
Yae Miko had spoken to Takumi early in the morning.
Then, she rode her motorcycle and started her journey back to Inazuma.
She planned to return and activate all of Inazuma's teleportation anchors before coming back.
On the way, she also intended to deliver a pass to Lumine.
This device was incredibly useful, and since she had been away for some time, it was time to return and check on things.
Early in the morning, after having breakfast and packing some provisions, she set off.
Dressed casually in jeans and wearing sunglasses, Yae Miko revved up her motorcycle and sped off toward Inazuma.
With a map in hand, she didn't have to worry about getting lost.
Meanwhile, Takumi arrived at the network company.
There, he gathered Baizhu and Albedo together.
He began explaining his latest discovery to them.
"Are you familiar with the Sumeru Void System?"
"Ever since someone placed a signal device at The Chasm, I detected a signal from the Void System."
Upon hearing this, Albedo was slightly surprised, while Baizhu looked completely lost.
"Void System? What is that?" Baizhu asked, clearly unfamiliar with Sumeru's technology.
"You mean the system that allows people to access knowledge at any time?" Albedo inquired.
"Could it be similar to our network here?"
Takumi nodded.
"That's right. It's somewhat similar."
"Their Void System is also built using the Gnosis of a god."
"This was the work of the previous Dendro Archon."
As he spoke, Takumi operated his computer.
Both Albedo and Baizhu watched as two screens appeared.
One showed the signal coverage from Liyue's side.
The other displayed the signal near The Chasm.
There was another faint signal appearing beyond that area.
Though the power had not fully extended there, it was clear to both Albedo and Baizhu that this was a massive network.
Immediately, both became intrigued.
"Void System! Are you planning to hack into it?" Albedo asked, quickly understanding Takumi's intentions.
Takumi nodded without hesitation.
He openly shared his thoughts.
"After all, the knowledge inside is incredibly valuable."
"People in Sumeru can access knowledge at any time."
"They highly value information, which means the Void System contains vast amounts of data."
"If we can hack into it or even connect our network to it, we'll be able to access information whenever we want."
"The Void System functions like a vast library."
"Any knowledge a person wants is searchable."
"Even though we can't connect to it directly, if we integrate it with our network, we can access its resources through our own system."
Just thinking about it was exciting.
Listening to Takumi's words, Albedo fell into deep thought.
It was certainly an interesting idea.
"However, hacking into the Void System would be extremely difficult," Albedo pointed out, frowning.
"We don't even fully understand its infrastructure yet."
"Breaking through its defenses would be quite a challenge."
Hearing this, Takumi nodded.
Yes, cracking the system would be difficult.
But it wasn't impossible.
As long as they got close enough to a signal source, they could analyze and decode it.
Sumeru's Void System likely transmitted its signals through the World Tree.
The World Tree acted as a massive relay device, controlled by the Dendro Archon.
Essentially, that was how it worked.
Invading the Void System would be a long-term endeavor.
However, the challenge excited Albedo.
"Alright, I'll help," Albedo said. "If it proves too difficult, we can always go to Sumeru directly."
He made his decision immediately.
He wanted to give it a try.
Seeing Albedo's interest, Takumi nodded.
"Alright! In that case, Baizhu, you can continue working on the software."
"Albedo and I will focus on the Void System."
Baizhu, who had been listening quietly, nodded.
He had no objections.
His current project—an improved takeaway ordering system—was nearing completion.
After final checks, it would be ready to launch.
So, he didn't have time to get involved in Takumi's plan.
With their roles decided, Takumi and Albedo began their work.
They started analyzing methods to breach the Void System.
For now, they needed to understand the nature of the signals.
However, studying it solely through a computer wouldn't be enough.
So, Albedo proposed going to The Chasm to study it directly.
Hearing this, Takumi considered for a moment before agreeing.
"Alright, you head to The Chasm."
"I'll continue working from here."
"We'll approach the problem from both ends."
"Here, take this pass. With it, you can teleport between locations instantly."
Takumi handed Albedo a pass.
Albedo was surprised.
"What is this? A phone?" he asked, examining the device.
It was slightly larger than a smartphone.
Did this thing really work?
Seeing his confusion, Takumi smiled and explained:
"This is a teleportation anchor pass."
"Do you understand what that means?"
Upon hearing this, Albedo was astonished.
He examined the device more closely and asked:
"How do I activate it?"
There didn't seem to be any buttons or a power source.
Seeing this, Takumi began instructing him.
He explained how to activate and use the pass.
Albedo listened carefully and quickly understood.
"I see," he said. "It requires elemental energy to function."
After saying this, Albedo infused the pass with his elemental power.
Immediately, a map appeared on the screen.
Various anchor points were recorded on it.
Takumi then explained how to operate the teleportation system.
The pass looked like a tablet, but it required a Vision to function.
Without elemental power, it couldn't be used.
After understanding its mechanics, Albedo nodded.
"Alright, I'll pack up and head out."
"Klee is at The Chasm too, right?"
"I'll meet up with her later."
After saying this, Albedo got up and left.
Since Klee was already there, he planned to find her once he arrived.
After Albedo left, Takumi didn't linger.
Instead, he left the network company and returned to the General Affairs Department.
