Chapter 419

Albedo arrived at The Chasm.

After looking around, he heard an explosion.

Recognizing the sound, Albedo immediately knew it was Klee's bomb.

Without hesitation, he went directly to Klee.

At that moment, Klee was blasting rocks.

Suddenly, she noticed Albedo approaching from a distance.

Seeing him, Klee's eyes immediately lit up.

"Albedo big brother!"

She immediately stopped what she was doing and ran up to him.

"Klee!"

Klee ran directly in front of Albedo, her curiosity piqued.

"Albedo big brother, why are you here?"

Albedo usually stayed in his laboratory and rarely went out unless necessary.

Yet, now, he was here?

This puzzled Klee greatly.

For a brief moment, she wondered if this was some sort of trick by Shao Abbey.

But upon closer inspection, she quickly realized it was indeed Albedo.

"I'm here on business," Albedo explained. "How's your work going, Klee? Is everything going well?"

He gently smoothed Klee's hair while glancing behind her, curious about what she had been doing.

Albedo was already aware of Klee's activities, as she had told him beforehand.

Now that she had a mobile phone, she always informed Albedo about her outings.

This was Klee's way of ensuring he wouldn't worry about her.

Hearing Albedo's question, Klee nodded excitedly.

"Everything is going great!"

"It just takes a long time to finish!"

"But now, I can go home every day!"

Saying this, Klee was overjoyed.

Albedo was a little surprised but quickly understood.

Takumi clearly doted on Klee and must have given her a teleportation pass.

That explained why she could return home daily.

"Alright, if that's the case, then continue your work," Albedo said.

"I'll be working over there."

"I'll cook something delicious for you tonight."

After ruffling Klee's hair, he didn't ask any more questions.

He simply turned and left.

Klee, seeing this, didn't disturb him further.

Instead, she turned back to her task, excited at the thought of Albedo cooking for her later.

Meanwhile, Albedo, riding his motorcycle, quickly arrived at the signal station built by Takumi.

He scanned the surroundings.

This place was already quite close to Sumeru.

After thinking for a moment, Albedo activated his Vision's power.

Then, he constructed a small research hut.

With the hut complete, Albedo began his research.

He unpacked several instruments and set them up.

As soon as he activated them, his eyes lit up.

"Void System!"

Without hesitation, he began his studies.

If nothing else worked, he would go to Sumeru directly.

Upon arriving in Sumeru, he would need to obtain a Void Terminal.

Once connected to the Void System, it would be easier to study how to hack into it.

It was only a matter of time.

Before that, though, he wanted to see if he could bypass the system on his own.

If he could break through by himself, that would be even better.

Albedo focused intensely on his work, attempting to connect the two signals.

It was undoubtedly a major undertaking, similar to his initial work on the network.

Meanwhile, on Takumi's side, after some extensive research, he decided to pause this endeavor for now.

It wasn't yielding results.

Hacking through the network alone was impossible.

After all, while the signals were somewhat similar, they couldn't connect directly.

Unless Takumi went to Sumeru himself and used the power of the Herrscher to breach the system.

Or, if he possessed the Herrscher's power of erosion, he could forcefully hack into it.

However, neither option was available to him yet.

With a sigh, Takumi set the matter aside for now.

He would focus on more immediate responsibilities instead.

With that in mind, Takumi turned to his official duties.

He quickly browsed through the files on his desk.

Pirates?

They had been handled by the navy, with many arrested and sent to labor camps.

Additionally, the road repair report had arrived on his desk.

There were also documents regarding construction projects in Guili Plains.

Although many houses had already been built in the area, it was still not enough.

As time passed, Guili Plains continued to grow in prosperity.

More and more people were moving there from other nations.

Many homes were even being rented out to foreign residents.

Some families had even permanently relocated to Liyue.

Clearly, many sought to settle there for good.

After reviewing the latest report from Liyue Harbor, Takumi nodded in satisfaction.

The most recent tax revenues looked promising.

Just as he finished reading the reports, his phone rang.

Checking the caller ID, he saw it was from the shipyard.

Answering the call, he quickly received the update.

After hearing the news, Takumi nodded.

"Understood."

"Go ahead and put the ship in the water."

"I'll notify the buyer now."

It turned out that Diluc's ship was complete.

It was now ready for launch.

After hanging up, Takumi quickly messaged Diluc.

Takumi:

[Head to the shipyard.]

[Your ship is ready.]

After sending the message, Takumi got up and left.

He rode his bike directly to the shipyard.

Meanwhile, on the other end, Diluc received Takumi's message.

His eyes lit up with excitement.

Without hesitation, he immediately set off for the shipyard.

It was finally finished.

The thought filled Diluc with anticipation.

Upon arriving at the shipyard, he saw Takumi already waiting.

Takumi led him to the dock.

Seeing the massive ship before him, Diluc's eyes gleamed with satisfaction.

The ship was the same model as Beidou's, though it had yet to be named.

"You arrived just in time," Takumi said.

"Give this ship a name."

"I'll engrave it for you."

Hearing this, Diluc didn't hesitate.

"Dawn!" he declared.

Without even thinking, he had chosen the name.

Takumi nodded and immediately set to work engraving the name onto the ship.

"Dawn!"

Diluc watched as the name took form before his eyes.

He was impressed.

"Come on, let me give you a tour," Takumi said with a smile.

With that, he led Diluc onto the ship.

Seeing this, Diluc quickly followed.

As they toured the vessel, Diluc was extremely satisfied.

It was money well spent!
