Chapter 481

Sumeru's Little Auspicious Grass King has appeared!

This news undoubtedly shocked everyone in Sumeru. Many could not believe it. The Little Auspicious Grass King, who had long been absent from the public eye in Sumeru, was now making an appearance?

Although the people of Sumeru were aware of their deity's existence, they had never heard specifics, as Nahida had never revealed herself.

The members of the Akademiya were dumbfounded. They never imagined that the Dendro Archon, whom they had placed under house arrest, would break free. And that power! At that moment, everyone in the Akademiya trembled, completely unable to comprehend what was happening.

Nahida wasted no time and, without hesitation, exposed the corrupt deeds of the scholars and sages of the Akademiya.

Step one: Announce her presence.

Step two: Reveal the truth to the public.

Step three: If all else fails, seek Takumi's assistance.

That was Nahida's plan.

As more and more information was disclosed, the people of Sumeru found it hard to believe. Could the sages truly have committed such heinous acts? Regardless, under Nahida's influence, Sumeru quickly descended into chaos.

Meanwhile, Takumi remained unaware of these developments. After finishing his conversation with Nahida, he put the matter aside. If she needed help, she would reach out. Until then, he would wait and see if she could handle it herself.

Shaking his head, Takumi turned his attention to a map, contemplating various possibilities. If Nahida ever called on him, he would act accordingly. Defeating a group of ordinary people was not an issue, especially since the Fatui were not involved. The only potential nuisance was the Eremites—cheap labor, in Takumi's opinion.

Staring at the map, Takumi had an idea: why not capture them and make them help build roads?

Since Liyue was constructing a road through the Chasm to connect with Sumeru, why not have them assist? Sumeru, with its lush rainforests and heavy rainfall, would benefit greatly from well-maintained roads.

If the roads were completed, they would serve as a critical link between the two nations, connecting Sumeru City to the Chasm and ultimately leading into Liyue. Additional routes could be established beyond the Chasm, such as through Gandharva Ville.

In the long run, this would only bring advantages.

Furthermore, new cities could be built in other regions. For instance, Qingxu Pool could be revitalized. Once cleansed of monsters and properly developed, it could become another historical city.

There were countless opportunities for expansion.

Currently, population limitations made this infeasible, but if Liyue's population continued to grow, these areas would eventually be utilized.

More cities would solidify Liyue as a true empire, positioning it as the center of the world.

Takumi studied the map, deep in thought. There were so many places to develop.

Jadeplume Terrorshroom's habitat could be repurposed as a granary. Tianqiu Valley, Dunyu Ruins, Lingju Pass, and Qingxu Pool—all these places had the potential to be thriving cities once again.

Restoring them while preserving their historical integrity would allow people to experience the grandeur of ancient Liyue firsthand.

Sealed ruins also needed to be addressed. Takumi instructed Nuwa to record all these details while also considering locations where Adepti resided—such as Mt. Aocang, Qingyun Peak, Cloud Retainer's Abode, and Mt. Hulao.

A tourist attraction development plan was forming.

The ancient temples of the Adepti could serve as future points of interest.

Many in Liyue still worshipped deities and followed old traditions. With the age of Adepti waning, why not establish temples in their honor?

The Adepti were real—not myths. Occasionally, they could appear, offering blessings in exchange for incense offerings. It wasn't too much to ask.

For Liyue's economy, Takumi believed even the Adepti could be mobilized.

Even areas like Huaguang Stone Forest could be transformed into a retreat for the wealthy, infused with Adeptal energy to promote longevity.

People would pay handsomely for such an opportunity.

This idea had potential!

Takumi documented all these thoughts.

Roads leading to these attractions were already under construction. Ningguang even planned to build mountain resorts—why not add temples?

Takumi listed the names of Liyue's Adepti, detailing their deeds.

A place of remembrance could be established, allowing visitors to appreciate their past contributions.

With this in mind, Takumi wrote out the detailed proposal and sent it to Ningguang.

Ten minutes later, he received her response.

Ningguang:

[Building temples?]

[Would that really be okay?]

She seemed uncertain.

Takumi:

[What's the issue?]

[Giving the Adepti a shrine, allowing incense offerings, seems reasonable.]

[Start construction, and have Ganyu compile a list of Adepti who left significant legacies.]

[For those who performed great deeds, create individual monuments detailing their history.]

[Let tourists learn about their accomplishments.]

To Takumi, this was a flawless plan. Even Zhongli would approve.

After some thought, Ningguang responded.

Ningguang:

[Alright!]

[I understand.]

Upon further consideration, she saw no issue. Though the Adepti had passed, their contributions should not be forgotten. If Takumi suggested allowing the Adepti to reside in these temples, the idea seemed even more viable.

Thus, Ningguang gave the go-ahead.

She then delegated the task to Ganyu, who was currently stationed at Liyue Harbor rather than the Chasm.

Upon receiving the assignment, Ganyu was surprised but quickly grasped its significance.

Ganyu:

[I'll begin writing immediately.]

[If I'm unsure about any Adepti, I'll consult the Lord of Geo.]

She was not familiar with all the Adepti, but Zhongli certainly was. If necessary, she would seek his guidance.

She believed Zhongli would be pleased with this endeavor.

And so, across major scenic locations, temples dedicated to the Adepti were established, providing visitors with places to pay their respects.

Liyue was home to many who still sought the wisdom of the Adepti, and they would surely appreciate this initiative.

With these matters arranged, Takumi turned his attention to another project previously discussed with Ningguang—the development of mining operations in Dragonspine!
