Chapter11-Vampire?

[Earthsplit Scroll, beginner scroll, capable of rending mountains and earth, transforming them into a fertile plain.]

After reading the description of the Earthsplit Scroll, Owen nodded. The scroll's effect was simple yet powerful.

To split the earth and tear apart mountains—this was an extremely formidable ability, something he could never achieve with his current 1-Star Ancient God strength.

Yet completing the Phase Two Mission had granted him such a terrifyingly powerful scroll!

There were many towering mountains surrounding Annasi, and this Earthsplit Scroll would undoubtedly be useful in the future!

"The territory isn't large enough right now, so I won't use it for the time being. I wonder if other gods sell these scrolls?"

After pondering for a moment, Owen stored the scroll in his system space.

Over the past ten days, he had converted his spice points into 11 divine points. Adding the 5 divine points from mission rewards and subtracting the 1 divine point he had used for Dream Revelation, he now had a total of 89 divine points.

His daily spice point income had reached 782 points.

That meant every three days, he could gain 2 divine points—roughly 200 divine points per year!

More importantly, the number of devotees was still increasing!

Without delay, Owen opened the Trading Channel.

However, after scanning through the listings, he didn't find any Earthsplit Scrolls for sale.

Clearly, the other gods had not yet completed their Phase Two Missions.

"I'll check back later. By then, some gods might start selling them."

Afterward, Owen turned his attention to the Phase Three Mission revealed by the system.

[Path to Godhood, Phase Three Mission]

[Mission Objective: Your growing number of devotees has drawn the attention of vampires residing in the Howling Cavern. Eliminate them to protect your devotees from harm.]

[Mission Rewards: 1 Enhanced Farmland Scroll, 5 beginner Awakening Scrolls, 30 divine points.]

"Howling Cavern… Vampires?"

Owen narrowed his eyes.

With many Lucas Village villagers becoming his devotees, their prayers had given him insight into Howling Cavern and the vampires within.

Lucas Village was located east of Black Iron, nestled within endless mountain ranges.

Among these mountains lay a peculiar cavern. Due to the eerie wailing sounds produced by the wind blowing through it, the villagers had named it Howling Cavern.

More importantly—vampires lurked within.

Every so often, these vampires would awaken from their slumber to hunt humans as food.

Each time they awoke, they would drain at least nine people of their blood before returning to hibernation.

Annasi had been lucky—years had passed without any vampire attacks.

But Lucas Village, being closer to Howling Cavern, had suffered many losses over the years.

The fear of vampires was deeply ingrained in their bones.

They longed for divine protection to shield them from these creatures.

They also hoped to become Awakeners, gaining the strength to fight back against the vampires.

"The vampires seem to have a baron among them… I wonder what level of power they possess?"

Owen muttered to himself.

Based on his knowledge of this world—

A nameless god who had not yet become an Ancient God could reach tier-3 strength if they had enough divine points.

But once a god ascended to Ancient Godhood, they could achieve tier-4 peak combat strength.

In the Black Iron region, tier-4 Awakeners—known as Awakening Knights—were incredibly rare.

Anyone who reached this level would be considered extremely powerful.

As for the combat strength of spellbeasts and eerie creatures, Owen still had no reliable way to assess them.

Thomas and the others barely understood the basics, making them unreliable sources.

One thing was certain—Awakeners had to keep leveling up to stand a chance against the stronger spellbeasts and eerie beings.

For the sake of caution, Owen decided not to rush into this mission.

Instead, he opened the Chat Channel to see if other gods had any knowledge on the matter.

"Each god resides in a different region—some might have encountered vampires before. Gathering information first is the safest approach."

Since this was a Phase Three Mission, it likely wouldn't be easily completed.

Owen silently observed the other gods' conversations, choosing not to speak up or ask questions.

If other gods were attempting Phase Three, they would face the same difficulties as him.

Sooner or later, someone would share their findings or seek advice.

All he had to do was wait patiently.

Based on the first two missions, everyone's objectives and rewards seemed identical.

So, the third phase should be similar across all gods.

As he watched and waited, Owen noticed something interesting.

Many gods were chatty—some spammed the chat nonstop, others shared ridiculous jokes, and there were even lewd images being posted constantly.

Some gods would randomly start cursing each other out.

Although it was called a Chat Channel, the discussions were chaotic but amusing—never dull.

Now that he was a god, his only responsibility was managing his devotees.

Everything else? Irrelevant.

With so much free time, reading the chat was his only real form of entertainment.

And because so many gods were constantly talking, the chat refreshed at lightning speed, covering every possible topic.

After silently watching the chat for three days, something finally caught Owen's attention.

A sudden message popped up.

"Everyone, just chatting all day is boring. Let's have some fun—I'm organizing a grand spellbeast hunt! Join my chat group! If you have divine points, you can send tips! If not, just enjoy the show!"

Owen blinked.

A spellbeast hunt?

Now this was interesting.

[Fellow gods, we're all in the same boat, so I'll cut to the chase. Everyone's been discussing the Phase Three Mission, wondering how strong spellbeasts are. Today, I'll test it personally!]

[Most of us are nameless gods, around tier-3 strength. Our missionaries are mostly tier-2. Right now, I've gathered enough divine points to cast 15 fireballs!]

[I just had my missionary lure a spellbeast to my village. Soon, we'll know exactly how strong they are!]

[Wish me luck, everyone!]

Owen continued watching the chat in silence.

Three hours later, that god posted a new message—along with a photo.

[Everyone, the spellbeast has arrived—it's a goblin!]

Following the message was a picture—

A green-skinned goblin, its twisted horns menacing, gripping a massive club over its shoulder.
