Chapter 21: Mahiru’s First Love Letter

One afternoon, as I was sorting through my books, I noticed an envelope tucked between them. It was pale pink, neatly folded, and had my name written in elegant handwriting. I recognized it instantly.

Curious, I carefully opened it and began reading.

"Amane, I've never been good at expressing my feelings with words, but there's so much I want to tell you. Being with you has changed my world, and every day feels warmer because of you. I love you more than I can ever say, and I want to stay by your side forever. - Mahiru"

My hands trembled as I read her heartfelt words. Before I could react, I heard a small voice from the doorway.

"Did you… read it?"

I turned, and there she stood, face completely flushed. I smiled, holding up the letter. "This means a lot to me, Mahiru."

She bit her lip. "I was nervous… but I wanted you to know."

Without a second thought, I pulled her into a tight embrace. "You don't need words to tell me that. I already feel it every day."

She sighed in relief, resting her head against my chest. "I'm glad."

And in that moment, her first love letter became my most treasured possession.
