The day finally arrived. After weeks of late-night calls and messages filled with longing, I was finally visiting Mahiru at her university. It felt strange, walking through the unfamiliar campus, but my excitement overshadowed any nerves.
When I arrived at her dorm, she was already waiting outside, her golden-brown hair shimmering in the autumn sunlight. The moment our eyes met, she ran to me, wrapping her arms around me in a tight hug.
"You're finally here," she whispered.
I held her just as tightly. "I missed you."
She pulled back slightly, her eyes searching mine. "How long are you staying?"
"A few days," I replied, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "Enough time to make up for all the days apart."
She smiled warmly. "Then let's make every second count."
And with that, we stepped into this new phase of our relationship—one where time was precious, and every moment together had to be cherished.
