The Ripper

The air grew thick with tension. The three men stared at the monstrous creature before them, their grips tightening on their weapons.

"Run or fight?" Rex muttered.

"No time to think." Adrian responded coldly, raising his gun.

The bullet struck the Ripper's shoulder, but it barely flinched. Instead, it let out a deafening roar, its muscles tensing before charging forward with terrifying speed.

"Scatter!" Adrian shouted, diving out of the way.

Rex and Kyle split up, each seeking cover. The Ripper crashed into metal shelves, sending debris flying.

Adrian's eyes flicked to the corner—an old fuel barrel sat there.

"Rex, draw its attention!"

Rex gritted his teeth, fired a shot at the creature, and yelled, "Hey, you ugly freak! Come get me!"

The Ripper took the bait, snarling as it lunged toward him.

"Kyle, kick that barrel over here!" Adrian commanded.

Kyle complied instantly, sending the fuel barrel rolling toward the beast's feet. Adrian took careful aim—

Bang!

The bullet struck the barrel, igniting a massive explosion. Fire and concussive force tore through the storage room, sending the Ripper crashing into the wall.

As the smoke cleared, the creature twitched, its charred flesh peeling—but it was still alive.

"This thing just won't die!" Kyle exclaimed.

[Target critically wounded. Suggest high-power weapon for termination.]

Adrian swapped to his shotgun, leveling it at the Ripper's head.

"It's over."

Boom!

A spray of dark blood painted the walls as the Ripper's skull shattered. Its massive body collapsed with a final, lifeless thud.

The three men stood there, catching their breath, exchanging relieved glances.

Then, a voice crackled over the radio—

"Adrian! We've got a situation! The outer defenses won't hold much longer!" Sophie's urgent tone rang through.

Adrian straightened, his expression hardening.

"Grab the last of the Molotovs. We're going in."
