Chapter 10: Beneath the surface!

The atmosphere in the cockpit of the RX-78-2 Gundam was thick with tension as Kieth stared into the piercing eyes of Xandros, the Demon Lord of Destruction. The weight of the choices laid before him felt like a mountain pressing down on his shoulders. Josh, still seated beside him, could feel the anxiety radiating from his brother.

"Kieth, you can't seriously consider any of these options," Josh whispered urgently, his voice trembling. "We can't trust him!"

Keith's mind raced as he weighed the implications of each choice. The first option was tempting—power and wealth beyond imagination—but it meant betraying his own kind. The second option seemed the most reasonable, allowing him to return home without further conflict. The third was a direct threat to his life, and the last felt like a betrayal of everything he had fought for.

"Xandros, you think I would just join your side?" Kieth said, his voice steady despite the turmoil inside. "You underestimate me if you think I would betray my people for gold," as he said that, Xandros laughed manically and said,.

"Oh no, no, no, Kieth Martin, I'm not underestimating you. You are the real threat here, so I want to remove you from the picture because you are the only one that has the capability to defeat my demon kings or even me, given time to get strong. So this is me offering you a way out, a good choice, and I know you humans are greedy in nature, so I'll give you gold for your troubles."

Kieth's eyes narrowed as Xandros's words dripped with malice. "You think I'm a threat to you?" Kieth's voice was laced with defiance. "I'd rather die than betray my people. And as for your offer, I decline. I'll never take your gold or join your side."

Xandros's laughter echoed through the cockpit, sending shivers down Josh's spine. "Ah, Kieth Martin, you're as stubborn as I thought you'd be. Very well, it seems we'll have to do this the hard way."

As Xandros raised his hand, Kieth gripped the controls of the RX-78-2 Gundam, ready to engage. Josh's eyes widened in fear, but Kieth's determination was clear. "Let's do this, Josh. We won't back down."

Just as Kieth and Josh prepared to launch their attack, a blinding light filled the cockpit. The air seemed to distort and ripple, and Kieth felt himself being pulled away from the controls.

"What's happening?" Josh cried out, his voice panicked.

Keith's eyes locked onto the summoning circle etched into the floor of the cockpit. Goddess Lycana's voice echoed in his mind, "Kieth, I'm so sorry, but this is the only way to keep you alive."

"Oh shi-"

As the light enveloped Kieth, he felt himself being ripped from the RX-78-2 Gundam. The last thing he saw was Xandros's smile, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction.

"A wise choice, Goddess," Xandros said, his voice dripping with relief.

The RX-78-2 Gundam, now pilotless, stumbled and fell face-first to the ground, its massive body crashing into the earth. Josh's scream echoed through the cockpit as he realized Kieth was gone.

"No! Kieth! Come back!" Josh cried, tears streaming down his face.

After that encounter, Josh and the others regroup and go to the human kingdom. To heal. Days have passed, and the news of Kieth's departure spread like wildfire across the nation. People were shocked, upset, and filled with a sense of hopelessness. Without the fifth hero, the four remaining heroes seemed doomed to fail against the demon kings and the Demon Lord of Destruction.

In the royal courts, the mood was somber. Keriel, the dragonoid prince, clenched his fists in frustration. Lariel, the mermaid princess, wept quietly in her chambers. Grath, the beastman warrior, growled in anger. King Youm of the dwarven kingdom shook his head, his eyes filled with worry.

But perhaps the most devastated of all was Princess Lyra from the elven kingdom. She had grown close to Kieth during his time in their world, and his departure felt like a personal loss. When she heard the news in the kings' and queens' meeting, she couldn't contain her emotions.

Just as the meeting was trying to come to terms with Kieth's departure, a messenger arrived with devastating news: Sir Aleric, the veteran royal knight, had been killed by the Demon King of Fury. The Human Kingdom was in mourning, and King Arin was beside himself with grief and anger.

Lyra's eyes welled up with tears as she spoke up. "We have to find a way to bring Sir Kieth back and avenge Sir Aleric's death. He is our friend too." Her voice trembled with determination. "We can't just give up. We have to keep fighting for them."

The meeting fell silent, with the rulers looking at each other in determination. Malukis, the beast king, nodded his head in agreement. Jessabel, the mermaid queen, wiped away a tear. Queen Valeria of the dragonoid kingdom spoke up, "We will do everything in our power to bring Sir Kieth back and avenge Sir Aleric's death."

King Eldrin of the elven kingdom put a comforting arm around his granddaughter, Lyra. "We will not forget our heroes," he said. "We will find a way to bring Sir Kieth back and defeat the demons."

The kings and queens meeting continued, with the rulers discussing strategies and plans to defeat the demons. They vowed to work together to bring Kieth back and avenge Sir Aleric's death. The meeting adjourned with a sense of determination and purpose.

Two years passed, and the war against the demons raged on. The four heroes, Josh, Caine, Vismond, and Chris, had become a formidable team, taking down demon strongholds and gathering allies for the final battle.

One day, after months of planning and preparation, the four heroes launched a surprise attack on a heavily fortified orc stronghold. The stronghold was located in a strategic location, controlling a key trade route and providing a vital source of supplies for the demons.

Josh, the Sword Saint, led the charge, his sword flashing in the sunlight as he cut down orc after orc. Caine, the Divine Gladiator, fought with his trademark ferocity, his hammer crushing the enemy's defenses. Vismond, the Holy Assassin, moved stealthily, taking out key targets with precision and ease. Chris, the Supreme Sorcerer, unleashed powerful magic, blasting through the stronghold's defenses and paving the way for the others.

After hours of intense fighting, the stronghold fell, and the four heroes stood victorious. They had taken down a key enemy stronghold, and the demons' grip on the region was beginning to loosen.

As they caught their breath and surveyed the aftermath of the battle, Josh couldn't help but think of Kieth. "I wish Kieth were here," he said, his voice tinged with sadness. "He would have loved this fight."

Caine nodded in agreement. "We'll keep fighting for him, Josh. We'll make sure his sacrifice isn't in vain."

Vismond smiled grimly. "We'll take down the demons, and we'll find a way to bring Kieth back. That's the promise we made to him and to ourselves."

Chris nodded, his eyes gleaming with determination. "We'll do it, guys. We'll win this war, and we'll bring Kieth home."

Josh's eyes fell on the masked rider belt that Kieth had left for them. He fingered the worn leather, feeling a pang of nostalgia. Keith had given them this belt as a symbol of their bond, and now it served as a reminder of their fallen friend.

As they rode back to the Human Kingdom in the military jeep Kieth had left for them, Josh couldn't help but think of Kieth's determination and bravery. He smiled wistfully, knowing that Kieth would always be with them in spirit.

The jeep drove towards the Human Kingdom, the landscape rolling by in a blur. The four heroes were lost in their thoughts, each one reflecting on their journey so far.

Meanwhile, in the Demon Realm, the Demon Kings stood in line, their eyes cast downward as they awaited Xandros's command. The Demon Lord of Destruction sat on his throne, his piercing gaze fixed on the four humans kneeling before him.

"Report!" Xandros's voice boomed, echoing through the chamber.

The four humans, led by Chameleon, a master of disguise and deception, looked up at Xandros with a mixture of fear and determination. Chameleon, a counterpart to the infamous Frank Abagnale Jr., had a reputation for being the most cunning and elusive criminal in history.

"My lord," Frank Abagnale Jr. began, his voice smooth as silk. "We have been laying the groundwork to frame the four heroes for various atrocities committed by our own agents. We have created fake evidence, manipulated witnesses, and spread rumors that will make the allied forces doubt the heroes' intentions."

Xandros's eyes lit up with interest. "Go on," he said, his voice dripping with anticipation.

Frank Abagnale Jr. smiled, confident in his plan. "We have planted seeds of doubt in the minds of the allied forces, making them believe that the heroes are working against their interests. We have also created divisions among the heroes themselves, making them question each other's loyalty and intentions."

Josef Mengele (The Mad Scientist) nodded enthusiastically, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "And I've been working on some...unconventional methods to further our goals. I've created some twisted experiments that will make the heroes look like monsters. The people will be shocked and horrified when they see the evidence."

Ed Gein (The Butcher) chuckled, a twisted grin spreading across his face. "And to make things more...believable, we've had to get our hands bloody. We've killed some innocent civilians, blamed it on the heroes, and made sure the evidence points to them. The people are already starting to turn against them."

Aaron Kosminski (Jack the Ripper) nodded, his eyes gleaming with madness. "And once we have taken care of the heroes, we will be the ones who will shape the future of this world. We will be the ones who will bring about a new era of darkness and terror."

Xandros's eyes gleamed with approval. "Well done, my servants. You have done well to prepare the ground for our plan. Now, go and execute it. Bring me the heads of the four heroes, and you will be rewarded beyond your wildest dreams."

Meanwhile, the four heroes continued their journey, unaware of the danger that lurked in the shadows. Josh's thoughts were still with Kieth, and he couldn't help but wonder what his friend would do in their current situation. Caine, Vismond, and Chris were equally lost in their thoughts, each one trying to come to terms with the challenges that lay ahead.

As they rode towards the Human Kingdom, the landscape rolled by in a blur, and the heroes' thoughts were consumed by the weight of their responsibilities. Little did they know, their enemies were closing in, and their fate was all but sealed.

The four humans bowed their heads in respect, then turned to leave the throne room. The Demon Kings stood at attention, their eyes fixed on the humans as they departed. Xandros's gaze lingered on them, a mixture of curiosity and suspicion etched on his face.

As they walked out of the throne room, Frank Abagnale Jr. (Chameleon) smiled to himself. "Perfect," he whispered to the others. "My plan is unfolding perfectly."

Josef Mengele (The Mad Scientist) chuckled, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "And that hero summoner, Kieth, has no idea what's coming for him."

Ed Gein (The Butcher) grinned, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "You mean, he's the one who's been orchestrating the kidnappings and manipulating the humans into fighting the Demon King of Fury?"

Frank Abagnale Jr. nodded. "Yes, I knew he would be the perfect pawn in our game. He's a hero, after all, and he'll stop at nothing to fight for justice. And when Xandros gives him the choice, he'll choose to fight, not submit."

Aaron Kosminski (Jack the Ripper) laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "And in the end, the goddess will have no choice but to send him back to his world."

The four anti-heroes laughed, their voices echoing through the corridors as they walked away from the throne room. Frank Abagnale Jr. turned back to face the throne room, his eyes gleaming with ambition. "After the four heroes, I'll deal with you next, Lord Xandros," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "And this world will be mine... Hahahahah!"

The sound of his maniacal laughter echoed through the corridors, sending shivers down the spines of those who heard it. The chapter ended with Frank Abagnale Jr.'s laughter still ringing in the air.
