Chapter 9: Into the abyss.
DARK, QUIET,DESOLATE..
"Peaceful"
'Without pain,' Kaido's body no longer felt pain, he felt at peace although he wasn't in a human body , that much he knew .
In the dark place he was in , his body…. No soul… felt transparent as though anything could pass through him, his feet felt the cold sensation of Stagnant water beneath him. He was walking , even though he couldn't see what was at his front or where he was going he was still going ,advancing little by little.
Where was he going ?,
Well even he didn't know and he couldn't care less , he only followed his instinct just walking, maybe he had been walking for minutes or hours that he didn't know , here he had no sense of time, he didnt know how long or how far he had walked ,
' it didnt matter ' he felt close to his destination
Where was that ? , he didnt have the faintest idea or knowledge and sadly he didnt care. The peace here was already enough for him. He found comfort in the darkness.
The weather here was cold but not too cold , The environment felt scenery and breath taking even though all he saw was darkness , he could feel it. If everywhere was lit up by a source of light like the sun he could swear , his environment was like a big garden with a small river and presently he was in the river. But it couldn't...
After all this place had an eerie nature to it,
The place felt like it would totally put out the light of the sun if it was in there ,turning it to nothing but absolute darkness.
He was sure of that .
His heart felt at peace here feeling no regret of him trying to kill himself just few moments ago .
One could even say he was happy for doing that, maybe if he hadn't he would have still been in pain, with no one to save him, his body shivered remembering how the pain had felt like,
Painful experience , all his life he hadn't felt that kind of pain, he wouldn't even wish it for any one not even for General Thomas… the man whom had started it all...the man who had killed his wife…the man who had turned his entire life upside down....he wouldn't wish that for even him.
After all he had let the man go through hell before killing him, he tormented his life with daily pain, visiting the man daily and taking each finger each day with a sword that didn't allow healing magic to work on any injury inflicted by the sword.
Painful, the wound fester as the day passed by.
He had enjoyed every second of Torturing the guy daily, even with his increase in security and everything , it was very easy for Kaido with the help of the vanishing artifact - that cursed object.
'Who knew that that thing was nothing less than an abomination that could cause such devastating pain and suffering.'
He was still walking , he didnt feel tired or exhausted , he even enjoyed walking it seetled his thoughts and made him feel at peace with himself, it was the most peaceful he had been in a long time.
The last time he was at peace like this was with , Iris and his kids.
He sighed .
His environment was starting to change , a bit ,for one everywhere was still dark but the air was calmer here , he could tell.
There was a desolate expanse of dark hills stretching far ahead covered in darkness.
There was still no grass , trees, flowers - no sign of life at all, just silent waters and cold air. .
There in the distance at his front he sensed something warm , calming and familiar, he approached it.
It wasnt a living creature or human .In fact It wasnt a living thing but it was alive .

His brain racked for what to call 'it'
He didn't know what to call it after all 'it' didn't have a structure or body or figure. It was just there existing
Like little dust none existing gathering bit by bit, millions in millions , with millions forming nothing more than the size of a beetle, and the whole form was bigger ranging to be the size of a big egg . The little dust which formed in millions were ranging to more than a billion to form the egg . but they were not together, not joining at all.they were apart but formed the shape of the egg giving a weird glow , not golden or white, it was black.
How Kaido could tell the difference between the light dust and darkness still shocked him.
Both felt like light and darkness , too different from one another. But both were darkness
The egg molecules seemed to move continously around each other give out a familiar essence, he got close. He recognized it, his eyes filled with shock ,
'How?' , it was now obvious he was in his soul realm , not exactly his .. this was before he had cultivated for years … he was…. No rather he was seeing his Younger self soul.
What his soul realm once looked like..
Clouds of essence was what he had called little lights.
The current around the Essence were beautiful river of star light that illuminated the surrounding a bit noticing his arrival , showing the desolate land which laid in his wake making the immense and ancient darkness looked somewhat Terrifying.
Kaido was stunned at the dark sight he saw before him.
But still it was fearful, because he could sense immense danger hiding over those hills, something sinister and a bit familiar.
The vanishing artifact?
No it wasn't it , he was sure of that.
This was something different ,not from his former life , it was both daunting and eerie making him shiver in fear.
He wanted to approach it but his instincts wouldn't let him
After all he wasn't going to let curiosity get the best of him this time around,
At the same time he could feel the ease of the cloud of essence at his front, showing evidence that his younger body had just started cultivating of recent.
He approached the cloud of essence, slowly touching it.
His hands ran through it, but still he felt a warm sensation feeling in his hands almost burning him, that's when he saw it ,
Once his hand came in contact - not actually cause he couldn't feel it- with the cloud of essence,
He could see ,
Not in literal terms, he could see outside,
Outside where he was.
No where his body was.
He was in a room with a woman , she looked familiar.
Mrs Beatrice Lang from clan Notus ,
He could easily tell who she was,
He could remember she's supposed to have died from the first attack on the clan when he was younger in his previous life,
'Wait, it hadn't happened yet'
His body quivered.
'Did I go back in time?'
