Her eyes seemed to hold a thousand shades of resentment, the flames of jealousy threatening to consume her.
I couldn't understand it. She clearly didn't love me, and I was the one she hated most.
So why was she jealous?
Seraphina stared at the unanswered number, almost breaking into tears.
"Eames, where on earth are you?"
She opened her phone, checking the dashcam footage.
"Eames definitely came here, so why can't I find him?"
The next second, as if remembering something, she activated the alarm.
In an instant, the car keys in my pocket started beeping.
The person dragging me changed expression, and the fat guy roughly threw me against the car.
"Let's go!"
Seraphina finally realized something was wrong and shouted urgently:
"Don't you dare!"
My head was spinning, but I finally felt relief.
Seraphina had found me at last. I was saved.
The taut emotions suddenly snapped, and my body could no longer bear it. I passed out.
