I struggled to raise my arm, stubbornly enduring the beating from dozens of people.
Until my eyes were bloodshot, and my vision blurred.
Could I not hold on until Seraphina's arrival?
Was I destined to repeat history and die at Callie's hands once again?
I gradually lost consciousness, no longer resisting.
If I had another chance, I truly wanted to tell Seraphina in person:
"I love you, thank you for giving me the tender love I've never experienced in this life."
Sadly, she would never hear it now.
"What are you doing!"
Seraphina suddenly pushed open the door, anxiously stomping her feet and shouting.
Her gentle gaze locked onto my dying form, and she rushed over immediately.
"What are you all doing? Beating someone up like this is against the law!"
Callie, composed, rushed in front of me:
"Sis Seraphina, don't go near him, he's just a broke bum who can't even afford food!"
Callie froze, looking at me with an unfamiliar gaze.
