FRIGHTENING IMAGINATION

CHAPTER 1

The night where cold, gemmed with a multitude of bright stars, uncanning with the querulous wail of coyotes and the occasional deep voices of the wolves.

A middle aged teenage girl was found running round the forest while been chased by an ugly, scary monster behind. She panted in fright as she kept on running deeper into the forest in search for help. Unfortunately, no one could come to her aid. She eventually stumbled to the ground which making the monster catch up with her. It brought up it's sharp long fingers and was ready to strike.

"Nooo!"

Kiara screamed to awaken. She was panting hard in sweats.

"Same dream?"

Peter's voice echoed bringing her back to reality. He approached her and she quickly wrapped her arms round him.

"Oh Dad, The nightmare seems to get real every passing time." She almost cried. He patted her back slowly until she finally let go.

"Listen darling, it's just a dream so don't get too borderd about it. You are letting your emotions take over you."

She signed.

"You are right Dad. And Thanks, I would try not to." She gave him a flashing smile in respond.

"That's my girl." He smiled back, patting her hair like a kid. "Quickly go get ready for school or you would be late. And time waits for no one princess." He spoke before planting a kiss on her forehead and heading out.

SCHOOL BELL RINGS

"All staffs should gather in the hall for a meeting at ten."

The voice rang through the speaker by the school announcer.

Kiara got to her class and was seated. Soon the room was filled and the teacher arrived, not quite after, lecture began.

Suddenly, everything began to turn, strangely. The teacher began to fast-forward in a way she could hardly be heard. Kiara closed her eyes with taught of it being just an imagination. Opening her eyes slowly, she looked closely at the teacher. She wasn't able to hear a thing only seeing the movement of her lips then the other students raised up their hands. She turned to look at the person beside her only for his face to change into a white scary looking monster. Not only that, they all were. And to worsen it all, they were all staring at her, including the teacher.

She gasped.

Now she was really frightened and began to panic. Not being able to hold it any longer, she screamed.

"Kiara!"

A gasp left her lips as she turned only to find the teacher right in front of her with a worried expression.

"Is everything alright?" Mrs Jones asked.

Kiara liked her lips and tried to calm herself. The others were probably looking at her like she was so psycho.

She gulped down her dry throat and replied with a nod.

"C-can I please go to the rest room?" she jerked out.

Mrs Jones looked at her for a while before finally giving a nod.

"You can go"

Without any seconds left she instantly rushed out.

Getting to the rest room, she slammed the door shut. Quickly going to the base, she turned on the tap and splashed some water on her face. They had always think of her as a crazy girl so who on earth could she turn to. Definitely not her Dad, he already had alot on his plate after the loss of her mother. She doesn't want to add to his troubles. Although some people suggests she was just seeing this due to the imagination of her mother loss.

Kiara signed as she cleaned her hands with a tissue. Her pen dropped and she bent to pick it making her unknown to the quick sudden change in colour of the mirror, It turned red and black. Just when she was about getting back on her feet, it turned back to it's normal colour.

She headed to the door only to find it locked. It wasn't opening. She tried twitting on the handle again and again but it just wouldn't open.

'Didn't they say the Lock wasn't working anymore?' she taught to herself while trying more harder. The tap came rushing on all by itself making her gasp. Panic began to subdue from her as she began hearing some strange whispers accompanied by the lights which was switching on and off.

She fell to the ground and just hugged herself then closed her ears tightly with both hands but it all keep coming on and on.

Just then, the door clicked open and it all stopped. Three girls walked in while gisting with laughter, But paused on seeing Kiara in still same position.

"What the hell are you doing?" The middle one named Khloe scoffed mockingly with arrogance. "Are you trying to shuw your madness away or is it just starting."

Kiara looked at them then slowly stood up, dusting herself. She looked at them in annoyance but said nothing.

"Why are you staring at us like that? We weren't the ones who caused your instability." The other girl named Sam mocked and they all laughed. "You know, some people just really need to know their places." She added. Yet again, without a word, Kiara walked away not minding their mockery of her. It wasn't the first time and she's probably used to it already.

Just when she was about passing by the hallway, she heard a familiar voice.

"Kiara, are you alright?" Pearl, her best friend asked as she approached.

"What do you expect when everyone thinks i am going insane already. Even you hardly believe me. But I promise I am not lying. I really am seeing things." Kiara complained. Pearl pout her lip trying to find false in her.

"Hmmm, precisely same thing you said last week when you pushed Mr Mike the genator off the stairs. The man hasn't been doing well since then. It is high time You snap out of it Kiara." She pinned making Kiara exhale.

Some group of boys passed by them as they talked away. Kiara couldn't help but fix her main focus on the Greek God of all, Jace Prescott. The one and only. Also Kiara's secret crush ever since. All females in the school wishes to be his girlfriend, they all want to have a relationship with him. But they all know better than messing with Khloe. She dares anyone who approaches him. Obviously because she's also into him. Kiara therefore doesn't dare even met him to the eyes no matter how bad she has always wanted to talk to him or even be close to him. Just a gaze would be much more than enough.

"Come on Kiara let's go or we would be late." Pearl's voice snapped her out as she pulled her along.

On getting home, Kiara was so exhausted. Her father wasn't back yet. Taking the opportunity, she sat in the living room and turned on the television. While watching a movie, she had no idea how or when sleep caught her eyes with the tv remote still in her hand.

"Kiara!, Kiara!!"

She heard a voice as soft and gentle as the wind, calling onto her. Looking around, she could only find herself surrounded by tall trees and the light of the bright sun been withered by it.

"Kiara!" The voice called again. just this time, it sounded alot familiar and was coming from behind. Quickly turning back, she saw a beautiful woman in a white dress in front of her with a smile. Briefly, she recognized.

"Mum?!" She blurt.

"Mum!!" She called out as teirs left her eyes. The woman's smile widened as she ran to her for a hug.

"Mum" she blurt one more time before letting go. She cleaned her eyes and sniffed.

"What are you doing here? Come with me let's go back home." She said pulling her by her hands but she slowly shook her head.

"Surely you would go back home but without me." She replied with her smile still on all the way.

"W-W-What do you mean mum?"

"Am just here to show you something -"

"Kiara!!" She heard a voice calling out to her which she instantly recognized to be her father's. Panic, she shook her head not willing to lose her mum again.

"Let's quickly leave mum. Dad would be really delighted. He had been so miserable without you, we all are." She pleaded.

"Go now princess. You are smart and will most certainly figure it out."

"What?" Kiara blurt confused.

"Kiara!!" Came again her father's voice.

"Don't forget I would always love you and your father also.."

"Kiara!!!"

Her eyes shut open only to see her father Infront of her with a frown.

"What's wrong? I have been calling you for quite some while. You are not such an heavy sleeper." He commented.

"Erhmm, sorry. I was just so tired and slept off after being back from school." She replied, trying to level her breathe.

'so it was all a dream?' she asked no one but herself.

"You suy you're alright?" He asked once again making her nod. She hesitated first, then spoke.

"Dad, how exactly did my mom died?" She asked, trying hard not to stutter, with eagerness in her eyes.

"What happened? You've never asked of your mother for awhile." Peter asked surprised and she gulped.

'should I really tell him?'
