DON'T LEAVE ME DAD!!

CHAPTER 3

"Dad am home!!"

Kiara announced as she arrived back at home. She relaxed on the couch for awhile with her eyes closed, but soon opened when she noticed she haven't heard any responses from her Dad.

It's unusual of him. She got up and began to move round the house in search of him.

"Dad!"

"Dad!!"

She kept on calling out but they was no response. She knew he was suppose to be at home already. Bringing out her phone, she dialed his number. Unfortunately, it wasn't going through. She tried again and again but to no attempt. This made worries subdue in her and she kept on running round.

Getting to his room, she opened just to find it all disastrous. The room was upsidedown as if someone had trashed it, purposely. Knowing her father too well, he wasn't someone to leave the house untidy talk more less of his room. He is a neat freak even in his anger.

Falling to the ground, tiers rolled down her eyes.

'Has Dad also left me?'

Sadness erupt in her.

"Dad!"

She yelled in tiers.

"Please don't leave me also! Please!!"

She continued to cry uncontrollably.

LATER AT NIGHT

Kiara had finally cried herself to sleep but wasn't left hooked yet with nightmares.

"Dad! Dad!!"

"Where are you?"

She muttered in her sleep while holding onto her necklace, tightly.

In her dream, she could vividly see a place looking quite strange. It was a place she had never been, neither does she think anymore had ever.

It was filled with fire and lava. It was all dark like the midnight light. But what frightened her the most was seeing her father been tied up on a stick in the mist of the dangerous and horrible surrounding. He looked so week and almost, lifeless.

"No,no"

She uttered, shaking her head while almost in tiers. "No"

"Dad!!"

She yelled back to reality. Holding her necklace framely, she tried to level her breathe.

"What the hell?" She blurt.

Just then, she felt someone's presence a shadow lure from behind the closed doors. She gulped hard as sweats began to form on her forehead. Heavy wind blew and the windows opened, closed, while making strange sounds. The lights turned on then back off repeatedly without being touched.

Kiara made observant of every details in fright. At that moment, she noticed some or something she presume, standing behind the window. It was in a black creepy coat which made sure to cover it whole form.

Slowly, she stood up and make an attempt to head to the window with the little amount of courage left. All the while, she was shivering inside out. Just when she was almost approaching, the sound of a glass falling to the ground and shattered made her gaze snapped. Before she could turn back, it was no longer there. Running closer to examine, she gasped. It was indeed gone.

Soon enough, it was morning already. Kiara didn't know how much time she had to sleep or even if she had any sleep at all since morning came in years. Her father not being with her, plus last night's incident made sleeping almost impossible form her. Unfortunately for her, it was Saturday. So there was no school to keep the worries away.

After much consideration, she discided to go visit her Aunt Gloria in the neighboring town.

On arriving, she met her Aunt at her store.

"Aunt Gloria!!" She called in excitement as she ran to her for a hug.

"It been years since I last saw you and now, you've become a big girl." Gloria complemented as they got seated. "And what about your father?" She asked which made Kiara frown.

"So that means you haven't seen him also?"

"What do you mean?" Gloria asked confused. Kiara signed sadly.

"I haven't seen my Dad since yesterday. He just left without saying a word to me." She explained sadly. Gloria smiled.

"Don't be so bothered. You should know your Dad can be like that at times. He repeated such actions almost frequently while your mum was alive. She even began to see it as a bad habit of his already." She consoled. Then got up.

"I will be right back my dear. Let me quickly go get us something to eat or drink." Then she left. Leaving kiara not fully convinced.

Suddenly, she felt as though someone was watching her. Turning to her back, she stood up and slowly dragged her feet to the back of the shop without a reason. She looked around as if in search of someone and she doesn't even understand why.

"Looking for me."

Said a creepy voice from behind. Kiara gasped in fear and turned to her back only to find a strange looking old lady who's been supported with a stick, staring at her with a smile that seemed old.

"Who are you?" Kiara asked a little frightened.

"Tsk, Tsk, Tsk." The woman shook her head playfully.

"The question should have been, why am I here?" She implied. Kiara staired in confusion.

"Excuse me?"

"The necklace of which you are wearing, is the key. It has always been." The woman replied in reddules. Kiara scoffed.

"Can you please be more specific."

"They are after you because that which you have round your neck has the power. The power to create and destroy the universe." She explained. Kiara became more and more confused by every word she said. Staring at the necklace, she looked back at the old lady.

"Meaning?"

"You have the image of the SIMBEOS." The woman spoke blissful.

"Hold on, Hold on. This necklace use to belong to my mother before she passed away." Kiara tried clearing out but it only made the old lady's smiles widened.

"Then I guess she was a simbeo too."

"So you mean my mum was from a hidden igender and hid it from my Dad and I?" Kiara frowned. She old lady shook her head.

"The mysterious world should always be kept a mystery most especially to the humans regardless of your relationships or how close you are. It's for the best, because, the more you know, the more dangerous you figure out life is." She explained.

"So I will advise you my child, if you want to save this world, your friends and loved ones, you would have to keep it all a secret, most especially that necklace. Don't let anyone get their hands on it no matter what." She warned.

"And why is that?" Kiara asked.

"They are lot of mundins in the world my darling."

"What's a mundin?" Kiara asked once again.

"They are evil demons in form of humans, and they are after the distribution of the world. They could easily discive and manipulate people. And am afraid they would be after you know on seeing you've gotten what they've always wanted." She continued.

"Trust when I say I am least interested in any of these. I just want to find my Dad and that's it." Kiara urged.

"Yes I know that. And this will also be the key to getting to him." The old lady replied.

"Kiara!"

"Kiara!!"

She turned back on hearing Gloria's voice calling out to her from the inside.

"Coming Aunt!" She yelled back and instantly turned back to the old lady only to find out she was no longer there. She couldn't even find any traces of her.

"Where did she go?" Kiara muttered, looking around but was still unable to find her. She decided to shove it off and headed back inside.

She met her Aunt serving the drinks on the table. Taking her seat, she politely grabbed one.

"Thanks Aunt." She appreciated with a cute smile.

"So how are things going with your school and all that." Gloria asked as she pured the drinks into a glass cup.

"Well, its going great as expected. Except the sudden disappearance of my Dad. And plus, I have been seeing and noticing some kinds of strange stuffs lately which really frightens me alot. But surely it would pass." Kiara shrudded as she took a sip from her drink. Gloria smiled.

"What a beautiful necklace you have here." She complemented which her eyes staying glued to it.

"Yeah. I think it was my mum's before she passed away." Kiara smiled, holding onto it.

"And where did you find it?" Gloria asked looking curious.

"Somewhere in the basement, which I have never been." Kiara joked but Gloria didn't seem to laugh at it.

"May I see it please, Like touch it?" She requested almost so pitifully.

"Well, that shouldn't be a problem." Kiara replied, removing it. She handed it to Gloria and her eyes shown as if she had just gotten something indeed so precious. Her smile widened and seemed alot more creepy and out of words.

"The enchanting amulet which has the power to build and destroy the world." She spoke. Her voice now sounded thick and that of a million mascula voices in a reflective room. Kiara's smile dropped and her face began to hold nothing but fear.

"A-A-Aunt y-you-"

"I am a mundin!!"

Kiara gasped.

Were all those things the old lady told her true?

Was there really a mysterious igender to this world?
