Day 2.3 the Elven Merchant

The Market of Ssles

On my way to Barbar Shop, I couldn't help but slow down and look around.

This place was insane.

The market stalls were filled with rare items—stuff I'd only seen in guides about high-level areas.

> A merchant shouted: "Fresh mana herbs! Only found in the Ireth Peaks!"

Another called out: "Handcrafted shadow daggers! Straight from the Abyssal Caves!"

One more yelled: "Mystic beast eggs! Raise your own magical companion!"

I swallowed hard.

> Me (internally): "These items shouldn't even be in a beginner town…"

I wanted to buy something—anything—just to see how broken this beta version was.

But then I checked my wallet.

> [CP: 12]

…Right.

I had just enough for the silk Nina asked for.

> Me (internally): "I'm broke as hell."

I let out a long sigh and walked away before temptation could get the better of me.

Entering Barbar Shop

The shop wasn't flashy.

A simple wooden sign hung above the entrance, carved with the name Barbar Shop in elegant script.

I stepped inside and—

There. Standing behind the counter.

An elf.

> Me (internally): "Wait… what!?"

Elves only lived in Laxs Forest, a high-level area.

You had to be Level 90+ to even get near that place.

You needed Forest Blessing just to be allowed inside.

Even the top players barely interacted with elves.

Yet—

Here I was.

Standing in front of a real, living elf at Level 1.

> Me (internally): "Beta version… you're absolutely insane."

As I stood there, completely stunned, the elf narrowed her eyes at me.

> Elf: "Hello?"

I didn't answer.

> Elf: "...Are you going to buy something or just stand there?"

I blinked.

> Elf: "You've been staring for a whole minute. I'm losing patience."

I flinched.

> Me (internally): "Damn. She's got attitude."

This elf wasn't just rare—she was arrogant as hell.

The Clacton Silk

> Me: "I'm looking for Clacton Silk. Do you have any?"

The elf crossed her arms.

> Elf: "Of course we do. Wait here."

She turned and vanished into the back of the shop.

I exhaled, still trying to wrap my head around all of this.

> Me (internally): "An elf merchant. A moving town. Rare items everywhere. Beta version, what else are you hiding?"

I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

But one thing was clear—

This game was on a whole different level.
