Day 2.2 the Moving Town of Ssles

Arrival at Ssles

As I stepped through the glowing blue portal, a wave of warm air hit me.

Then—

The scenery completely changed.

I stood at the entrance of a massive town, stretching as far as the eye could see.

Unlike the quiet villages I'd seen before, this place was alive with activity.

Shops lined the streets, their signs glowing with magical runes.

Merchants shouted their wares, advertising rare items.

Street performers played music, attracting small crowds.

Npc walked around.

> Me (internally): "This is like a hidden hub for high-level players… but I found it as a Level 1?"

I turned to Lora, who was watching me with an amused smile.

> Lora: "Well, young man. Now that you're here, what are you going to do?"

That snapped me out of my daze.

Right. Nina sent me here for Clacton Silk.

> Me: "I need to find a shop selling Clacton Silk. Do you know where I can find it?"

> Lora: "Clacton Silk? That's easy. Just go straight ahead and look for a store named Barbar Shop. That's what you're looking for."

Barbar Shop? Weird name.

But if that's where I needed to go, then fine.

A Mysterious Clock

Lora stretched her arms, then turned away.

> Lora: "Well, I have things to do. You can explore Ssles on your own now."

She started walking off, but before she could disappear, I quickly called out—

> Me: "Wait! Where can I find a clock like yours? The one that tells when the portal appears."

Lora stopped, looking back at me with a smirk.

> Lora: "Oh? You're already thinking ahead?"

> Me: "I don't want to rely on luck to get back here."

She chuckled.

> Lora: "Smart. In that case, the Barbar Shop sells them too. Just ask when you're there."

With that, she waved lazily and walked away, disappearing into the crowd.

A Beta Feature?

I stood there for a moment, still processing everything.

> Me (internally): "Was that really an NPC? She acted way too natural."

I'd played a lot of VR games, but the way Lora interacted with me…

It was so lifelike.

> Me (internally): "Is this because of the beta version?"

Either way, I had a mission to complete.

I took a deep breath, cracked my knuckles, and set off toward Barbar Shop.
