The Eyes of a Goddess and the Spoon of Fate

The city of Bosquet was the largest in the Kingdom of Vegaon. Famous for its beautifully developed architecture, it was known as the Jewel of the Kingdom, and many travelers spoke of its unparalleled nocturnal beauty.

A variety of races were always on the move.

From the extremely common beastmen to the rare dragons and dwarves, followed by the even rarer humans.

There was always a lively atmosphere in the streets, but today, the aura of excitement was even more pronounced.

This was because the royal carriage of Princess Selene had been spotted on the streets after months of absence.

She was considered the most beautiful woman in Vegaon. and was extremely popular among the locals.

The princess was so elegant and warm that men did not desire her frantically, women admired her, and even rowdy children listened to her.

Naturally, everyone was excited to see the incomparable beauty of their goddess once again!

A large crowd had been following the carriage ever since it was spotted in the city.

After twenty minutes, the carriage stopped in front of a small bookstore called "The Hidden scallt."

It was owned and operated by a beautiful lesser dragon named Lairas and her daughter.

"Lesser dragon" was a term used to describe dragons who did not awaken any magical elements or had a mana level significantly lower than other dragons.

Despite their "lesser" name, they were generally treated as common citizens, though they faced severe discrimination from noble dragons.

"It stopped!"

"Is she really as beautiful as the rumors say?"

"Even the vampire queen pales in comparison."

"I have to ask her where she buys her makeup."

"Frank… why?"

"D-don't look at me like that! I just want my wife to look like her!"

Creak!

When the carriage door finally opened, the street fell into a deathly silence.

This was the moment everyone had been waiting for.

The moment a goddess descended from the immortal plane to grace her followers with her beauty.

They were going to engrave this moment into their memories for years to come.

Who knew when they would see their goddess again?

What happened next left everyone stunned.

Suddenly, a women stepped out of the carriage.

He wore a long black robe over a shirt, leaving his tattooed abs and chest completely visible. A luxurious ceremonial necklace, rumored to have been purchased just yesterday, hung around his neck.

Dark trousers and a pair of well-made black sandals completed his attire, giving him a simple yet elegant look.

His long wine-red hair was tied back in a ponytail, allowing everyone to get a good look at the most handsome man they had ever seen.

His eyes gleamed like perfect gemstones—one a ruby, the other an amethyst.

Two proud pairs of horns adorned his head, and his delicate hands made it clear he was an elf—an incredibly powerful one at that.

"Who is she?"

"Was there someone like that in the castle?"

"This is the first time I've heard of her..."

"I wonder what her workout routine is..."

"Why? You're already in great shape, Mia."

"Oh, I just want my husband to look like that."

As the man stepped out of the carriage, he raised his hand to help someone still inside, someone the crowd had yet to see.

Would their goddess emerge now? Who was this women, then?

Princess Selene had once told the elderly florist that no man or woman in this land, still alive, could ever claim her heart.

Everyone knew she had met a man when she disappeared years ago and had returned with a child.

They had assumed her lover had perished because who in their right mind would abandon such an incredible beauty?

Slowly, a figure the crowd recognized took the man's hand and stepped out as well.

"It's Lady Miriel!"

"Wait, isn't she married to the princess?"

"Then could that man be...?"

"I thought he was supposed to be sick?"

"If he's sick with something, I want it too."

The couple was too in love with their date to realize they had become the talk of the town and entered the bookstore together, hand in hand.

Upon entering the bookstore, the couple was greeted by a warm and cozy atmosphere that could instantly relax even the most nervous pair on a first date.

Rows of books stretched as far as the eye could see, decorating every corner.

Everything from fiction to fables and even spellbooks lined the shelves.

"Welcome... Oh! Lady Miriel, it's been so long!" a small voice suddenly called out, rushing toward them at lightning speed.

A little girl with brown hair launched herself at Miriel, giving the young witch the biggest hug she could muster.

This caused Miriel to burst into laughter as she returned the embrace. "Little Lyra, you've grown so much!"

Hearing this, the girl stepped back and puffed out her chest proudly. "That's right! Lyra is a big girl now—I'm already five years old!"

As she stepped back, Seraphina finally got a good look at the young girl.

She had long brown hair and a pair of amber eyes. Her small, adorable face was decorated with freckles, and a tiny brown horn sat on her forehead.

Two small dark blue wings and a matching tail protruded from her back.

Suddenly, Mira noticed that she and her favorite customer were not alone and became very curious about the man standing beside her.

As she stared at his two differently colored eyes, the only thought that crossed her mind was: "So cool..."

Hearing this, Seraphina chuckled slightly before the young girl walked up to him and raised her arms in the air, motioning for him to pick her up.

She briefly glanced between his wife and this unfamiliar child, and both seemed to be waiting for her to comply.

Seraphina had no problem with children, but this one's complete lack of caution was a little concerning. "Shouldn't you be more careful around strangers, little one?"

Mira looked back and forth between Seraphina and Miriel before responding.

"Well, you're with Lady Miriel, so you can't be a bad person!" She nodded in satisfaction, as if she had just made the most brilliant deduction in the history of independent thinking.

Seraphina shrugged and carefully picked her up, allowing her a better look at his mismatched eyes.

"Ooohh! One is red, and the other is purple!" she exclaimed excitedly.

"Indeed, they are. I take it you like them too?"

"Yes! Were you born with them?"

"No, these are a little gift."

"A gift? Like from the Dwarven Clause?"

"Not exactly."

"I want a gift like that!"

"Oh, really? Should I pluck my eyes out and give them to you?" he teased.

"Sir, no! You can't do that!"

"I was just joking..."

Before he could finish his joke, the little girl wiggled in his arms and pulled a silver spoon from her back pocket. "Pluck them out with this! It'll hurt less!"

Seraphina stared at the girl in utter confusion before shifting his gaze to his wife, who was watching the scene unfold with a bright smile.

"Is she serious?"

Miriel: "Of course."

Lyra: "Yes, I am!"

"Lyra! Are you helping the customers properly?"

Suddenly, a woman appeared from a door behind the counter.

She was clearly Lyra's mother, sharing the same bright amber eyes and long, wavy brown hair.

Two gleaming horns sat atop her head, and a draconic tail covered in stunning cyan scales hung behind her back.

Her body was incredibly curvy, with large H-cup breasts and a round, perky bottom.

She exuded the effortless sensual charm of a mature woman.

The woman froze upon seeing the most gorgeous women she had ever laid eyes on, holding her daughter while the child wielded her signature spoon.

"Mom, guess what! I'm going to pluck this Ladie's eyes out!"
