Chapter 21: The Bunker Raid
Lucian stood on the rooftop, gazing down at the heavily fortified military bunker below. Barbed wire wrapped around the perimeter, and armed men patrolled the entrance, their faces hardened by survival.
Thirty men. All armed.
Lucian smirked. Not a problem.
The real challenge wasn't getting inside. It was taking control without unnecessary risks.
"We're going in," Lucian said, turning to Evelyn. "Stay close. If anything goes wrong, don't hesitate."
Evelyn's lips pressed into a thin line. "I trust you."
Lucian's red eyes gleamed. "Good."
Because tonight, this bunker would be his.

A Hostile Welcome
Lucian led the group down the ruined street, his movements calculated. When they reached the bunker's entrance, he raised his hands—a sign of negotiation.
The guards raised their rifles.
"Stop right there!" one of them barked. "Who the hell are you?"
Lucian smirked. "Just a traveler looking for shelter."
The man scoffed. "Turn around. We don't take in strangers."
Lucian took a step forward. "You don't have a choice."
The guard narrowed his eyes. "What did you say?"
Lucian vanished.
Before the guard could react, Lucian appeared behind him, grabbing his neck and twisting—a sickening crack echoed.
The other guards panicked, raising their weapons. But Lucian was already moving.
A blur of death.
Gunshots rang out, but Lucian weaved through them effortlessly, his inhuman speed making him untouchable. One by one, they fell.
Within seconds, the entire entrance was cleared.

The Bunker's Depths
Lucian kicked open the reinforced door, stepping inside. The bunker was a maze of dimly lit corridors, the air thick with the scent of sweat and gunpowder.
His senses sharpened. Dozens of survivors were inside, their heartbeats rapid.
They knew he was coming.
A voice echoed through the bunker's speaker system. "Whoever the hell you are, you just made the worst mistake of your life."
Lucian smirked. Doubtful.
He signaled Evelyn and the others to move forward. It was time to claim this place.
