Chapter 18

In the large master bedroom, Amanda sat there quietly all day looking out at a bright red rose garden outside the window.

Quentin left early. She didn't complain because he promised to be home with her in the morning but left before noon.

Because she knew that her aggressive attitude must have made him angry, but it was good that he wasn't at home, and she didn't know how to use the right attitude towards him right now.

Sighing softly, Amanda felt that Javier was truly a disaster. Wherever he went, he was haunted by him.

He got up and went downstairs to have dinner and then take a shower. Amanda tiredly lay down on the bed and suddenly fell asleep without realizing it.

In her dream, Amanda felt like a furnace had appeared next to her. She frowned and opened her eyes to wake up because it was too hot.

She only saw in the dim light a tall man lying very orderly next to her, but that look suddenly made her panic.

As gentle as water, it was almost painful to the point of tears, a look that seemed to want to envelop her in it.

"Quentin!"

Amanda was startled and wanted to sit up with but her shoulder was pressed down with one hand.

"Did i wake you up?"

His voice was deep and hoarse as he spoke, carrying a faint smell of alcohol. Amanda slightly frowned and moved to the side a little.

"Not really, but did you drink alcohol?"

Quentin saw her small movement, he slightly lowered his eyes and lay on his back, also increasing the distance from her.

"Drink a little, don't you like the smell of alcohol?"

Amanda was a little more awake, she replied:

"No I don't."

At this point, both of them didn't know what to say anymore, so they just lay quietly next to each other.

Thinking for a moment, Amanda softly said:

"Tomorrow I will return to the film crew. Maybe it will be a week or a month or so before I can return."

Actually, she didn't need to return until two days later, but right now she doesn't really want to stay in this house.

In the dim light came the deep, hoarse voice of Quentin.

"If I have free time, I will come visit you."

Amanda frowned and said hesitantly:

"I don't want to make it public that I'm married..."

So?

Quentin smiled lightly and replied:

"Then I will visit the group as an investor."

Seeing that Quentin was so persistent in wanting to visit the film crew, Amanda did not object further.

"It's up to you, I'll sleep here."

After saying that, she turned her back to him and tried to sleep again. Although she was not used to having someone sleep next to her, she had to accept it because from now on, it would always be two people sleeping in the same bed.

After a long while, Quentin heard the rhythmic breathing of the person next to him and gently turned her around.

Amanda, who was sleeping soundly and was disturbed, huffed in dissatisfaction twice, kicked the blanket off his body and smacked her mouth but still showed no signs of waking up.

Quentin looked at the corners of her lips and couldn't help but curl up. He had heard Diego complain that she liked to kick the blanket when she slept.

He moved a little closer to her and put his arm under her neck, gently using force to hug her whole body.

Amanda moved a bit to find a comfortable position before rubbing his chest twice to sleep peacefully. Quentin bent down and gently kissed her forehead.

This time he was very satisfied and hugged her, closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Early in the morning, Amanda, who rarely sleeps very well, opened her eyes and saw that no one was there. She didn't pay attention to personal hygiene, then packed her luggage and went downstairs.

She didn't intend to have breakfast, so she wanted to leave, but when she got to the top of the stairs, butler Wayne took her luggage.

"Miss, hurry in and have breakfast before leaving. Young master is already waiting inside."

He knew the two of them didn't have feelings for each other, but they'd only been living together for less than a day, and she was already carrying her suitcase like this, which wasn't right.

Amanda pursed her lips and saw housekeeper Wayne's urgent expression. She reluctantly changed direction and walked into the kitchen.

"I thought he left."

Butler Wayne saw that she was willing to stay a little longer, so he couldn't help but happily follow behind, saying:

"Master Quentin always eats breakfast at home before going to work."

Amanda's footsteps stopped slightly, she raised her eyebrows and asked:

"He has never had breakfast outside?"

Butler Wayne, not seeing her strange expression, nodded firmly.

"Never."

Amanda's facial muscles twitched slightly, so who was the person who was munching on dumplings with her in the car a few days ago?

At the large dining table, Quentin, neatly dressed, sat there eating breakfast and drinking coffee. Seeing her coming, he smiled softly and asked:

"You are awake."

Amanda nodded, sat down, accepted the spoon from the waiter and slowly ate the oatmeal in front of her.

Quentin smiled and bowed his head to continue eating breakfast.

The cell phone on the table vibrated slightly. Amanda answered the call. It was Vance calling to say he had arrived at the gate.

"I'll wait outside."

"OK, I'll be right out."

Quentin glanced at her and interjected a sentence.

"Butler Wayne, invite Mr. Walters to come in."

Butler Wayne next to him nodded and went to invite Vance in. Before Amanda could react, the person was already far away. She glanced at Quentin and said to Vance on the other end of the line.

"Someone will come pick you up."

Hanging up the phone, she bowed her head and finished the oatmeal in the bowl.

Amanda ate a bowl of extremely delicious beef oatmeal until she was very satisfied.

"Hello, Mr. Harris."

Vance walked in very politely and greeted Quentin, followed by Winter, staring at Quentin.

When Amanda saw that someone had arrived, she stood up and said:

"Then I'll go first, you continue to eat."

Quentin put down the knife and fork in his hand and nodded gently and said:

"Go ahead."

Amanda turned around to leave quickly, so she did not notice that Winter next to her was being dragged by Vance.

The girl quickly looked at Quentin. She knew that Ms. Amanda had secretly gotten married, but what was more surprising was that her husband was...

Vance glared at her, then let go. .

"Keep your mouth shut."

Winter nodded and whispered:

"Mr. Vance was the one who saved Ms. Amanda last time."

Seeing Winter pointing at Quentin, Vance was a bit surprised.

He smiled towards Quentin and said:

"Then, Mr. Harris, we will go first."

Quentin leisurely looked at the two of them whispering for a while, then nodded and instructed them.

"Take care of her."

Vance nodded respectfully and replied:

"Yes."
