Lana wanted nothing more than to relax and walk away from the building, her dearest father decided to place her in the meeting room with his friends, or rather the group of leeches that had a taste of her father's wealth and were going to do everything to take it away from her. She genuinely didn't care much for the company, it looked like it was just being asked to be handed a business-induced headache for the rest of her life until she got married and could simply pass the job to her hypothetical child and the cycle would continue once more.
"Miss Daniels, are you actually listening to us or is your head in the clouds again?" She snapped out of it instantly, finding herself in the board room filled with only middle-aged men like women weren't allowed to be given a say in something they desperately worked for like everyone else. The nineties were good two decades ago but here she was with misogynists feeling the corner of any room. Suddenly she was feeling glad that Avery was going to take her place in a few hours, since it would allow her to escape this dreaded moment and hang out with Anna in the meantime, finding the brunette to be fun to be around.
A few minutes passed, as they kept dumping files in front of her that they butchered up with that lack of experience yet said nothing. Quietly taking her time to rearrange her thoughts in an organized manner in her head as much as possible before her thoughts started to trail off again.

In that split second, she found herself staring at the familiar desk with Avery being hugged down by his older sister, Anna. The older woman has a grin of mischief while playing with the hair of her younger brother.
"Looks like you are back." Lana looked behind her, finding the familiar grinning woman, as she rested her back on the walls of the Avery's office. Lana gently ruffled the blonde hair that was currently hers, she never got used to the sudden increase in height as she was happy being 5'7 in her own body and was towering over Anna in Avery's body that was over 5'11.
"Hey, An." Lana smiled softly at her, making the brunette chuckle since the sight of a genuine smile on Avery's face was a very rare one, as he tended to only smile in a sadistic way when he wanted to get back at people. Anna was currently snooping around Avery's office, trying to find the files that he seized from her since she was trying to do the work of others in the office again. Lana looked at the clear note on the table left for her by Avery.
Don't even think about going near my files.
Typical.
Lana sighed, aware of his controlling nature when it comes to being organized about everything. Lana was ready to sit down, before hearing paper falling with Anna having a panicked expression as she looked at the mess she made.
"Oh my god. I am so sorry." Anna's smug smile was gone, revealing her worrywart side as she quickly gathered all the files together and wasn't sure where to start since there were so many mixed papers between her files and her brother's files. She could only groan and try not to panic while arranging the files, yet it was obvious that she was failing terribly. Lana wasn't surprised, since Anna could be a bit clumsy and started to arrange the files. She gently bent down and started to help her remove all the paper from the floor and place it on the table. The files stared back at them and Lana felt like Anna was criticizing herself around simply looking at her. All she had to do now was ask Avery for help, but she finally remembered that she had a meeting before the soul swapping kicked in again. She heard a ding from the phone in Avery's pocket, bringing the device from the black pants, placing her finger on the screen to open it as she read the message that was already sent to her from her phone.
You better not have messed with my files, Daniels.
-Lana
Lana looked at the message, before staring at the files in front of her with a defeated expression.
I am proud to say that it was your sister that did that, not me.
-Avery
Lana wasn't lying that she was glad that she wasn't the one that would incur his wrath as he was very gentle with his sister when it came with his words when she messed up compared to the silent treatment that he gave her and the constant yelling in her ears because she got distracted easily.
Just stay safe and stay with Anna.
-Lana
Lana could look at Avery's hands as she could feel him moving a pen, so he was going to spend his time reassorting the files that the leech friends of her father's messed up. How could people so greedy want something but don't even have the skills to arrange and sort files, hiring people under them to do it for them instead? Lana could only hope that Avery didn't flaunt her connection to him to everyone like the prideful man that he was, or her father would notice that something was up with her sudden extroverted nature.
Lana looked at the calloused hands that were currently hers, as she stood up, after she was done helping Anna rearranging the files, despite knowing Avery would find some way to find faults, then do it all over again. She walked outside of the office, looking through the window of the spacious room as she watched the various attorneys walking around, she quickly went through the halls and went downstairs. Her expression was calm and stoic, leaving no room to be read by anyone, allowing her to play the part of Avery Thomas with ease.
"This is such a out of body experience." Lana found herself, looking at her own body, moving around and looking at her with a sharp gaze from a higher point.
"Because it is, Avery." Lana sighed. At least the upside of this was that she could easily skip out on menstrual cycles and wearing a bra all the time in a man's body. Avery passed her a plate filled with sandwiches, leading her to his favorite bench to eat food outside the premises of his workplace. The pair took the time to relax and eat, despite feeling the taste of the food the other ate.
