Chapter 63: The Unexpected!

The moment the assassins appeared; the entire

mansion was plunged into darkness. The power cut off instantly, and

the air grew heavy with a suffocating presence. A chilling silence filled the

room before a sudden gust of wind swept through.

Then—they disappeared.

A second later, a

series of sickening thuds echoed through the mansion as the entire

force of ninja guards collapsed to the ground. The team barely had

time to process what had happened before Kairen's Stormborn Instinct flared

to life.

His golden-yellow aura

crackled like lightning, illuminating the darkness. His voice was sharp and

unwavering. "The entire force of the guards has fallen… and something's

wrong. Their bodies—" He paused, his expression darkening. "There's

an ominous energy flowing through them."

Syvian crouched beside one

of the fallen guards, placing two fingers on his neck. The pulse was

faint—almost nonexistent—but what alarmed him was the black mist rising from

the man's body. His brows furrowed. "It's like a poison fused with

energy…"

Rin crossed his arms, eyes

narrowing. "More like Dark Energy. But this one… it feels unnatural,

like it's corrupting them from the inside out."

Kyrin glanced around, his

instincts screaming at him to prepare for another attack. "First, we

need to think—how do we defeat them?"

Kairen took a deep breath

before giving his command. "We don't have time to hesitate. Here's the

plan."

"Kyra and Mirae, you'll take Sylvia to the basement

and protect her."

"Taro, Kaito, Akio, Akira, and Hiroshi—when you

arrive, execute any assassins charging towards the mansion."

"Senjuro and Kyrin, your job is to snipe the assassins

under camouflage. They're using the shadows to their advantage, but I know

you two can see through it."

"Me, Syvian, and Zyren—we'll take care of the main

assassin approaching from the East Gate."

The tension in the air

thickened as everyone nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. They

were under siege. But they weren't going down without a fight.

They all knew what was

coming next.

 Zyren pulled out his

communicator and urgently dialed Akira. The line connected instantly.

"The mansion's under

attack! Get here fast!" Zyren's voice was

sharp and urgent. "You, Akio, Hiroshi, Taro, and Kaito—your job is to

intercept and eliminate the assassins charging directly towards the mansion."

Akira didn't hesitate. "Understood.

We're on our way."

The call ended, and the

distant roar of an engine echoed through the night. The vehicle carrying Akira

and the others sped toward the mansion, tires screeching against the

pavement.

Back at the mansion, Senjuro

and Kyrin sprinted to the rooftop, scaling the highest point with

practiced agility. Once there, Kyrin swung a sleek black case onto the

floor and unlatched it, revealing two high-tech sniper rifles.

Senjuro whistled. "These

are from Neo-Kyoto, aren't they? Shadow Fang XLR-12s?"

Kyrin smirked as he picked

one up, running his fingers along its custom barrel. "Right on the

mark. Now, let's get to work."

Without another word, they locked

onto their targets.

An assassin crept

toward the gate, attempting to slip through undetected. Kyrin

pulled the trigger.

A silent shot rang through

the night. The bullet struck the assassin's head, dropping him

instantly.

Kyrin exhaled. "Boom."

But it wasn't over. More

assassins poured into the courtyard, moving like shadows. Every time

they took one down, more took their place.

Just as an assassin was

about to breach the main entrance, a blur of motion shot through the

air. A single arrow, glowing with Halcyon Raven Flux, pierced the

assassin's neck.

From the treetops, Akira

emerged, bow still raised.

Kyrin grinned. "Right

on time."

Akira leaped down, landing

smoothly. "Let's finish this."

The battlefield erupted

into chaos.

Akio lunged into

the fray, his claws crackling with Halcyon Raven Flux. With deadly

precision, he tore through multiple assassins at once.

Hiroshi charged

forward, his massive battle axe humming with the same energy. With a

single swing, he cleaved through the attackers, sending shockwaves

through the ground.

Taro and Kaito flanked the

sides, eliminating enemies with rapid, coordinated strikes.

The assassins were relentless,

but within minutes, their entire force had been wiped out.

Silence fell over the

battlefield.
