London, Magical Britain [2nd November, 1980]

–Scott Winters–

Looking over all his packed stuff, he breathed out sadly. It was a far cry from the single bag he had come to this country with. Apparently, the news of him coming back had spread to his friend circle, no doubt due to John disseminating the information on Rothschild's orders just in case they thought Scott forgot the people that were waiting for him.

That led to an avalanche of requests, not to ask about how he was doing or whatever, no, it was just shopping lists on top of shopping lists. Hell, he had a suitcase full of just bags and shoes. Apparently, they couldn't get this stuff back home, which was stupid because why would they not?

Something about the luxury brand having the latest collections in this place, that he expertly ignored because he did not need that information taking up space in his brain.

So far, he packed 4 different suitcases, with only one being his and that too he had to go out and buy a larger one because he too was going home with some souvenirs. Yes, souvenirs, not entire wardrobes.

Seriously, just when were the girls going to wear the clothes they were ordering? It was not like they got any vacation, aside from the National Holidays, of which there were only two. They were even working on every other Saturday so altogether, in the entire month, they got, at best, four Sundays, two Saturdays, and a single National Holiday if it happened to be that month.

So, about 7 days a month. Judging by the weight of the bags, both Jamie and Linda would not have to buy any new clothes for the next 6 months, which was an impossibility since both of the girls burned through their salaries as if there was an unlimited amount of it.

Perks of being a wizard. It got pretty easy to be self sufficient once a wizard owned a small plot of land. Both the girls collectively owned not just a two storey house but also 3 acre farm around it, with their own chicken, cows, and even dogs and cats as guardian animals despite the entire thing being under wards that stopped any pest, any animal, any insect, except the ones they chose to allow, like butterflies and pollen bees.

Seeing that he had chosen to live in MACUSA for the long term, he might just buy himself a nice house as well. The President's Guard had some very lucrative policies that basically gave him a house as well as federally protected land as long as he served for a significant period of time as the President's Guard, something he intended to do.

Maybe next door to Linda and Jamie would be nice since he could just steal all their food and eggs.

A chuckle left his lips as he imagined himself, running for his life with a couple of stolen eggs in his hand as Linda and Jamie both chased him out of their farm, spells whizzing everywhere and laughter all around. Not to mention, all three of them being in overalls.

"Ah, that'd be so nice," He wiped the tears from his eyes as the image stayed in his mind. Yes, that could actually happen and he would be very happy there if he did not have the damned memories in his mind.

He could not really stay still in one place, stagnant because he knew what was coming, and more importantly, what said person could bring to the rest of the world. Total pandemonium, if the No-Maj figured out that wizards have been living with them, acting as if they were above the No-Maj, while erasing memories left, right, and centre.

Hell, he knew that the only reason why the No-Maj governments, at least for the majority of the democratic ones, were still controlled by the No-Maj was because wizards did not see any particular benefit in ruling over what they consider savages, and lesser beings.

To some Dark Wizards, a No-Maj human had almost the same value as a house elf. Hell, they might even deem the humans as lesser since they cannot even do the house chores for free and cannot use magic.

"Room Service!" The person knocked on the door. With a wave of his hand, the suitcases closed themselves and were lined up perfectly against the wall, out of the vision of the waiter. Wouldn't want the hotel to become suspicious in any way.

"Thank you," It was time for dinner. For the entire day, he had procrastinated meeting his uncle and had instead roamed around London and bought everything under the sun, just so he could postpone having a difficult meeting.

Digging into his American Cheese Burger that the restaurant could actually make properly, he thought of the advantages of getting his inheritance that he had not noticed earlier on. Apparently, getting memories of a past life meant that his soul had automatically become stronger, something that should have happened only when he aged.

That meant he could now hit a little bit harder and faster when it came to magic. But that was not the main star of the show. The main advantage was the vast, and he meant it, a vast improvement in wandless magic. With the knowledge from his past life, and his stronger soul, he could now perform basic magic wandlessly, with a wave of his hand.

Even a Stunning spell required barely more than a moment's thought to be cast and that was fantastic because not many people could do that and the people in the know, even in MACUSA, all knew that he could not do wandless magic very well, and the one magic he could cast wandlessly, even in his sleep, were his Kinetic lasers, which were always very destructive in nature.

Now, he could cast almost all everyday magic with ease, without any need for a focus. Last he heard, some of the research into substitutes for wands had borne fruit and they were already on the second generation prototype for some sort of wrist band that could also act as a magical focus.

Some of the more hopeful researchers actually wanted to reduce the size of the band so much that one day, it could be surgically implanted into the hand itself. But until that happened, wandless magic was the most effective way one could ensure they remained armed, and he was now the proud owner of that ability.

Finishing his dinner, he called room service to get the plates, and then got ready for an evening stroll. He had an early dinner because he was hoping to roam all around London, in the dark, before he went back to the States.

He had already sent a letter and received confirmation from his Uncle about tomorrow morning's meeting and also his evening flight, so he was free to roam around, all alone in London till the morning now.

"You will be checking out, tomorrow, yes?"

"Yes, I would also like to book a cab for the airport, if that's an option?"

"Certainly."

"Thank you."

After getting his cab booked for tomorrow, he set out of the hotel and just…started walking.

His thoughts continued to go in the direction of what could possibly happen in Magical Bratin while he was in the States and while the knowledge from his previous life was not completely reliable, combined with what he knew from this life, he could see how things would pan out once Voldemort was dead and Dumbledore, the stupid old lazy fuck, was back in charge of Magical Britain. Things would turn out exactly as they did in the movies.

Dumbledore would go soft on Voldemort's surviving lieutenants, allowing them to amass even more wealth and power that will then be used by Voldemort when he is inevitably resurrected to wreak even more havoc.

No, going back to the States was the right decision, he knew that. It was also a right decision that he will be employing some people to keep tabs on the situation, not just in Magical Britain as a whole but also on one Harry Potter.

After all, the address for Harry Potter's home for the next 10 years or so was firmly imprinted in his mind, something that he could never forget since he also spent actual years hoping that the magical world was real and he got to see a glimpse of it.

4 Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey, England.

In his past life, he prayed that he could see the magical world, even if he was not a wizard himself.

"Guess wishes do come true, then." He smiled as he hailed a cab.

He had a little magical alley known as Diagon Alley to visit.
