Chapter 2.

The light rays of the sun woke Riya up,she sat on the bed and stretched while yawning,what a beautiful day she said to herself suddenly the images of what happened last night flashed,oh God she was really starting to get scared how would she manage to go to the castle alone and there's loads of work at the castle,while looking for reasons not to go,she heard a knock on the door and she knew it was her dad so she rushed to open it , she saw her father standing there with a worried look oh his face.Are u okay her father asked,yes father am okay, sorry I over slept,Riya didn't want her father to know the reason why she was still in her room,I will hurry and take a shower and prepare something for you and head to the castle father,yes of course dear her father replied,Riya closed the door behind her and sighed as she went into the bathroom and cleaned up,minutes later she descended the stairs and went to the kitchen,their house was a small wooden two storey building with only two bed rooms but Riya found peace and happiness in that place more than that huge palace full of chaos and torture and now that there is going to be loads of work because visitors from the east Maplewood would be coming she really wished she was sick so that she could stay home and avoid all those chores and on top of that she was also scared to even go alone due to what happened yesterday,she hurriedly prepared breakfast for both them praying that she would meet people on her way because their house was too faraway from town,after she was done,she opened the door leading outside and she was welcomed by a bright sun and the clouds were blue and butterflies and birds chirping made her forget that she was even scared to go out.

 ... A knock on the door sounded,who is it,it's me your highness,enter,a young female servant made her way inside the room,she bowed her head as she greeted,curious Erica turned around to hear what the servant had for her,as u ordered me to go and look at the suitor,the servant continued ,he is good looking,gentle and polite,he has brown hair and he is tall,oh I see,so my parents are really finding me suitors Erica sarcastically said,you can leave Erica said, as the servant left,she really wondered why her parents were looking for suitors,though she turned eighteen two months ago but she was still young and didn't want to get married that early,one thing she feared was ending up with a vampire,she knew they existed because her made her aware Erica!,Erica! the voice of her mother sounded as she saw her mother entering her room with a furious look on her face,Erica! what the heck are u doing lying on the bed!!! when u know perfectly well we have visitors from the east Maplewood,get dressed and stop being a lazy kokoon,or do you want to get married to those creatures,of course not mother Erica angrily replied,then get dressed and come out ,understand!!,your prince charming is waiting for you she said and closed the door behind her,Erica watched as the door closed,she was a party girl who went out with her friends and enjoyed her life and she wasn't interested in marriage at least not yet,and even if she wanted to get married she wanted a man who was outrageously handsome,a man who looked so handsome all the other girls will envy her,a man who look majestic, perfectly sculpture that she could stare at the whole day without getting tired,whiles fantasying about that man,another knock sounded on the door and she knew she had to get ready.

 Mother am here! Riya walked into the large kitchen full of the kitchen staff seriously working on the food to be given to the visitors only, what on earth were u doing at home, didn't I tell u that we are going to have visitors today,yes mother I had to prepare breakfast for father,Riya started with the blabbering till her mother cut her off, enough Riya get to work,work on the lettuce start by washing them,yes mother!!!.

 Erica descended the stairs gracefully with all confidence,she was wearing a pink sleeveless gown which feel on her feet,and her hair tied up in a neat bun,she wore matching diamond earrings and necklace,she looked beautiful keeping her head high, the guard announced the coming of the princess and the gates immediately opened Erica was welcomed by all the guest who were seated together with the king sitting at the head and the queen seated at the his left followed by the the other royal family from east Maplewood,Erica walked majestically into the dining hall with all the confidence in the world,all the attention went on her ,people seated at the table started murmuring,I never new you had such a beautiful princess as your daughter said the king of Maplewood who was seated to the right of the king and beside his son who was gawking at the princess,Erica walked gracefully to her seat facing the prince of Maplewood who was staring at her like an idiot and she took her seat.King Herbert this is my daughter Erica draxler,Erica this is King Herbert Robertson of East Maplewood, greetings your majestic Erica politely greeted with a fake smile,the pleasure is my princess,the is my son Arison Robertson,nice to meet you princess,Arison said with a polite smile,Erica smiled back,nice to meet you too Erica replied, without wasting much time let's make a toast welcoming the East Maplewood royal family,king draxler raised his glass with his tea spoon hitting the glass,all raised their glasses and made a toast cheering happily.The door opened again,this time with servants holding all kinds and variety of food on a plate,the the foods were nicely arranged on the table,they started serving every member on the table one after the other,after they were done serving ,all the maids left the room, everyone started devouring their food the noice of the cutlery could only be heard,hours later they were done eating and the maids came around to come and pick the dirty plates and cutlery,And dessert was served,everyone enjoyed their dessert in peace and chatting with each other,after everything was done,king Robertson and king draxler excused themselves to talk business matters, leaving behind the queen,the prince and the princess and the royal families ,Queen Veronica stoodup giving Erica a signal with her eyes telling her she shouldn't mess up ,Erica don't you want to show prince Arison around the queen turn and said before leaving,yes mother replied Erica,Prince Arison would you like to,Erica didn't even end the sentence and the prince said yes both stood up walking side bye side,when they were out of the dinning hall,so tell me more about yourself Erica asked the prince,of course replied the prince,am Arison Robertson prince of the east Maplewood,and heir to the throne,am also the leader to the soldiers of the castle,oh I see! I can tell that you are a very good warrior Erica said,oh Arison smiled and continued, I own a production company said Arison and continued blabbering unnecessary things,Erica was starting to get bored,so she told the prince she was really tired as an excuse to avoid any other conversation,because she knew she wasn't attracted to him and there was no connection even though he was good looking,they walked down the hallway,and she decided to to go to her room and wished him goodbye.
