Venue: JB college of Co Business Management
10A.M.
A chopper landed in the open playground of the college. There was a tight Zplus security in the college. Police and commandos were present. Almost entire state police was present. State reserve army was present too. They scanned the area.
The arrangement were top notch. The college was thouroughly cleaned. Buildings whitewashed, furniture polished and garden trimmed and watered. The students looked dapper in their formals and teachers were impeccably dressed. The principal himself wore a western formal. It fitted him well. He has double checked every arrangement.
As chopper landed Superintendent of Police and army head saluted him in greeting. His salute was equally smart. An army veteran he would look one of them with his build and discipline but for his clothes.
Dressed in traditional kurta paijama and sleeveless black coatee he was followed by his mate in running Gurpreet Walia and flanked by military commandos on either side. He was tall and commanding. His steps were confident As the security marched him to the college campus he folded his hands in a Namaste. There was an uproar. The crowd chanted his name. He thanked them all humbly.
However humbly he behaved he looked regal. Like the lion of the jungle the king has arrived.
Finally as security protocols were cleared the principal rushed forward to greet him.
" Welcome Mr. Oberoi Sir, he humbly folded his hands.
He smiled, bent and touched principal's feet.
" I am your student sir. I will never let you call me sir. It will make me a sinner. Call me Ranjeet. And you are free to pull my ear if I make a mischief ", he joked.

Ranjeet Oberoi was an enigma.
He was a child prodigy with an IQ of 180 plus. At school he excelled in studies and extracurriculars like sports, horse riding and even dance. He skipped classes and cleared it by 16 years of age. He held a Masters in management degree by 21 and joined army. An accident two years later resulted in his honourable retirement from army. Then he entered hotel business and by 26 owned a chain of hotels all over Asia. He joined politics as his father's running mate when he was 24. And recorded a major state election win for his father in the last elections. After his father suffered a heart attack he took over the reins. And in the upcoming elections he was set to win and head the state.
Liked by friends and feared by enemies.
THE KING TITLE WAS MADE FOR HIM.
In a short walk to the auditorium where he was about to address the students; Ranjeet took a detail about the college affairs, funds needed, the distribution and usage of already allocated funds, tie ups of college with business ventures, merit holders and top placements. His secretary was keeping a note but his memory rivaled that of a computer.
After the welcome speech, Saraswati Vandana, and annual college report came the moment everyone has been waiting for.
" Ladies and Gentlemen now I would like to welcome my old student, sitting MLA and the benefactor of this college Ranjeet Oberoi on the dice. I hope his words encourage you all", said the principal.
Jeet marched confidently on the stage. When he spoke there was a pin drop silence...
" Honourable principal sir, teachers and dear students. When I joined as the benefactor of JB college I had a vision. Vision to lead and succeed. Succeed not just professionally but in life. Because when life throws a curve ball smash an ace".
There was a huge applause as he paused.
Smiling he continued. This management course will open oppurtinities and provide you a hassle free education with hands on experience in various companies, scholarships and stipends and grants for mew ventures. So execute your visions for you SKY IS THE LIMIT.
The applause refused to dry up for next five minutes.
" We have their votes in our bag", said Guru as they were leaving after distributing scholarships. He politely declined the party as he was on a tight schedule.
A political rally followed where he promised his voters electricity, communication and food.
" If a single person aleeps hungry in my city then I have lost", he declared.
" These middle class voters are the swing vote", said Guru. " They want benefits probably financial ones".
" Go for tax relaxation", said Jeet " And maybe relaxation in bills".
" On it", said Guru.
He took an hour off in afternoon. He ate a salad for lunch and took his vitamins.
" It is the press meet next", said Guru. " FIRE TEST".
" Give me a list of probable questions", he asked.
Guru handed it to him.
Venue City hall
An hour later
Ranjeet was calm and composed. Representatives from various news channels, newspapers, social media platforms, vligs, digital news etc.were present. Though his PR team did a culling yet the number was no less. They warned him a gruelling session ahead. People in the party warned him against a live session. But he was not deterred. HE BURNED THE MID NIGHT OIL FOR THIS.
" Buckle up", said Guru.
" No pain. No gain", he replied.
Guru patted hs back as they now faced eager swarm of reporters.
The first question was on inflation and rising oil prices.
" Its the affect of an increase in the price of these items internationally. Considering the food items I can assure subsidised rates in ration shops owned by government. Fuel prices however are decided by center. We request public to shiftvto renewable sources like solar. The government offers subsidies on solar panels", he said.
Law and order was next question.
" Security of people, of their life and livelihood is our top priority. Night patrolling. Only for women government cabs and immediate police action number are provided byvour government. We cracked down a huge drug racket last month and we are cracking down land mafias too", he said.
" What about organized crime and underground mafia", asked a reporter.
Jeet smirked.
" Unheard of on my city. I mean in reality. Otherwise hypothetical scenarios are endless", he said.
The audience chuckled.
On roads he assured of the upcoming central highways, high rural connectivity and provided details of the work done in repairing.
" Will you be next chief minister", asked a reporter.
Of course I will be he thought. What a silly question!
" If God blesses and party high commands orders. I am a public servant. I will try to carry on all my duties sincerely and honestly", he answered.
He was acing it thought Guru but he knew the toughest one will arrive at last. He observed the crowd looking at one p*ssed off reporter who calmly wrote all his answers.
Jeet was now answering on traditional values.
" Indian traditions strengthen us rather than making us weak. Family, elders and cleanliness which our traditions ansd epics speak on them. We need to walk on that path. We should be proud of our culture as today world is bowing down to it", he said.
" A question Mr. Oberoi", came a calm female voice.
Ranjeet smirked. His eyes twinkled. Throughout this conference he was waiting for this. A question from her.
" Of course Ms Sharma", he smiled. " Please ask your question....
Rash stood up. Game on king....
