Hope woke up the next morning at 6am feeling well rested and giddy after talking to Allison, spending the night passing questions back and forth usually relating back to how the soulbond works. The brunette girl answered any question Allison asked honestly but requested to refrain from personal questions as Hope wanted to share these in person rather than over a telepathic communication.
According to Allison she was having a hard time identifying which emotions belonged to Hope or Daphne. So for the time being, until Allison could discern the difference between their emotions, Hope suggested that she would add a hint of heat behind her emotions. Using her affinity for fire to help differentiate their thoughts and emotions.
The Tribrid still needed to tell Daphne about this plan and to ask if she could leave a touch of ice on her emotions since the blonde Witch was sound asleep during this conversation.
Speaking of the Ice Witch, the blonde groaned as she shuffled her face further into Hope's boobs as Daphne moved down the bed in her sleep. Daphne let out a pleased hum against the soft tissue under her chin and cheek but Hope's silent laughter had the blonde opening her ice-blue eyes with a squint.
"Leave me alone darling. You can not believe just how comfortable your boobs are to rest on." Daphne murmured through the malleable flesh.
Hope laughed louder as she raised her hand up to thread her fingers through the tangled strands of hair, gently pulling apart the knots. "Is that so? I guess it's too bad that we need to get up to go for our run around the town."
The Pureblood girl groaned in displeasure but forced herself out of bed and out of Hope's warm embrace. "What do you think the shower is like in this establishment?"
"Probably really bad and it might have a camera hidden somewhere to spy on their guests. I think I'd prefer to find a cold body of water out in the forest than use that shower. Do you want to check out of the room? I don't really want to stay here any longer than I have to." Hope answered with a disgusted look on her face.
Daphne was in the middle of a stretch where her shirt had ridden up exposing her midriff for a moment before quickly lowering her arms. "Thank you for that disturbing thought, Hope. I think it's time to leave."
Hope smirked slightly as she watched Daphne move faster to get out of the room, snapping her fingers to shift her clothing into something a little more form-fitting so she could run with ease.
The smile on Hope's face disappeared as she made a remark. "You know, it's very annoying that this hotel is sleazy as hell. It's taking all my possessive ogling that I would normally do in the morning. It sucks."
"Aww. Is the poor Tribrid upset that she can't see me naked?" Daphne teased her wife as she collected the key from the bedside table.
Hope got up snapping her fingers and changing her outfit into something more familiar before following her wife out the door. "Immensely… Although, from my conversation with Allison last night, she's made a couple of requests. One, including no overpowering waves of emotions, basically asking if we could wait until we teach her to block her mind from her before having sex."
Since no one was at the desk Daphne dropped the key onto the counter before turning to face Hope with a stoic expression on her face as she used her Occlumency shields to mask how she was feeling. "She did?"
"Just until she can block us Daph. It's not an unreasonable request and you know that love." Hope clarified for the blonde as they walked out the door.
Daphne sighed as she released her Occlumency barriers on her face showing her frustration but also acceptance as she pivoted on her heel to start her run. "Very well. I suppose it would be rude to force Allison to feel us having sex. It's like non-consensual voyeurism… Except she would feel everything we would feel… Actually that's worse. Okay we can refrain from sex until Allison can properly block our feelings."
Hope hummed in agreement as she kept pace with her Lady Greengrass while keeping an eye out for any 'For Sale' signs. Alexandria appeared in a crack of lightning, possibly a dozen or so metres from inside the forestline, giving Hope enough time to place the Thunderbird under one of her invisibility charms before she exited out from the forest.
"We can still kiss though, right?" Daphne wondered as they paused on the sidewalk waiting for a car to drive past where they planned to cross the street.
"Yeah. Of course we can." Hope confirmed as though it was the most obvious answer in the world.
"The next thing Allison mentioned was that she was having trouble differentiating our emotions. We already know each other's thoughts and emotions. Due to this we can tell when it's Allison's emotion we are feeling even if it does take us a moment to remember that there's no longer only 2 people in this soulbond. Allison doesn't have that advantage. She has to try to differentiate us both. I suggested that I add a little fire to my emotion due to my fire affinity while you could use ice along with your emotions." Hope mentioned as they ran past the first house with a 'For Sale' sign.
Alexandria announced her displeasure with the structure of the house and Hope agreed so they didn't slow down to look at the house.
"Okay, I suppose that makes sense… Anything else?" Daphne once again agreed although a little more reluctantly than the last request.
"What's wrong?" Hope asked as she brought them to a stop on the corner of a road.
Daphne sighed. "Nothing… I think. I don't know. It just feels like we are altering our lives for Allison while we don't get anything in return or clarification if she even wants to be with us. I always thought that relationships were about both parties putting in effort to make it work. But I can't even use that reasoning because she isn't in a relationship with us. It's just frustrating is all."
"Ah… Well, in any case Allison will be talking to us when she comes home in a couple of days. Apparently Chris thinks we are dangerous and powerful which means we need to be observed by a talented Hunter or two to make sure we are not a threat to society. So we will be having a chat with him sooner rather than later so he can assess our threat levels. That will be fun!" Hope snorted at the thought which also brought an amused smirk to Daphne's face.
"On the other hand, we can possibly start teaching Allison as early as Wednesday on how to block out our thoughts and emotions." Hope nods along with her wife's little rant as they continue to jog across the road with Alexandria now gripping onto Hope's shoulder as she runs.
"Oh. Never mind then." Daphne replied, now with a hint of embarrassment on her cheeks. "Is there anything else that Allison wants from us?"
"Probably, but nothing I would agree to without your input or without all of us being in the same zip code. These requests are better to be discussed in person." The Tribrid answered, focusing fully on her run around the town.
It appeared that this was the end of the conversation, at least for a majority of the run. The girls would make little comments as they went past more houses. Hope and Daphne didn't really care too much about the outside of the property in reality, more about the structure, location and area of their new potential home.
Alexandria added in her two cents as well, somehow making her whistles sound either disinterested or excited depending on the house. If the girls used the golden bird's approval to choose a house to buy in the near future, then the couple narrowed down their list to 4 properties. Although 2 of them got much louder and greater appreciation from the Thunderbird.
Hope was more inclined towards these 2 properties as well as they were relatively homey and on the edge of the preserve. Daphne, on the other hand, wanted something more extravagant but there was nothing like that in the town of Beacon Hills that would live up to her expectations and tastes.
However, the next house they came across practically had the Tribrid smiling and coming to a standstill in front of the property. "This is Allison's old house. From what I can recall it's a very lovely home and is also on the border of the forest. I think this house could meet all our expectations if we wanted it to."
Daphne came to a stop right next to her wife and looked over the house. It was by far the prettiest house they have come across and matched their internal criteria on what they wanted.
"Are you sure it wouldn't be strange for Allison if we lived here?" Daphne wondered with a scrunched up face at the thought.
Hope frowned at the question before looking back at the house as she thought of all the things that happened in that house while Allison lived there. "I think you have a point there, love. I think Allison's mother died in that house… Actually I think she chose to kill herself on Allison's bed."
Daphne jolted back as her head shot back to Hope in shock. "Wait what?"
Hope sighed deeply as she pulled Daphne away from the house, forcing them to walk away briskly from the shattered yet beautiful home. "Daph… Hunters, they have a code. A few of them actually. But this particular one is in regards to what happens if a Hunter is bitten by a Werewolf."
"Allison's mother was bitten by Derek Hale, an Alpha Werewolf. Just like in your universe, if a human is bitten by a Werewolf it can transform their DNA, turning them into a Werewolf, unlike my world, where the Werewolf gene is hereditary… In this world, for someone to go through the change they need to be bitten by an Alpha." Hope informed her wife.
Daphne squinted slightly as she went through some of the memories that she had glimpsed from Hope and Allison upon their first meeting. "The Wolves with the red coloured eyes?"
"Yes. Although Alphas usually prefer to turn teenagers rather than adults as they are more likely to survive the change. The likely chance is that Allison's mother wouldn't survive the change anyway, but the Hunters code tells them that it is their duty to take their own life before they turn."
"So she killed herself? Leaving Allison alone?" Daphne shook her head in disbelief at the thought. "That's insane! I thought the wolves in this world could control their change. Why would she need to kill herself?"
The Tribrid rolled her eyes as she wrapped an arm around Daphne's waist. "Because Hunters don't trust that Werewolves can control themselves. At the first sign of bloodlust or shining electric blue eyes Hunters do what they do. Hunt. They are also extremely dedicated to their codes. It's what they abide by at all costs. If one of their codes says to kill themselves if bitten, then that's exactly what they will do."
Daphne shook her head slowly as if she was stuck in a memory. "I just think it's ridiculous that Hunters would go through something as barbaric as killing themselves when it's something that they could control as well as something that would make them more durable to withstand attacks from those of which they Hunt."
The blonde actually growled as she shifted to face Hope, bringing them to a stop in front of another house up for sale. "It's 2-3 nights a month! Maybe some anger issues but with some mental control or meditation to remain calm Lycanthropy is relatively easy to manage in this world. Even in my world, if either of my parents were bitten we would make it work and our wolves can't control themselves, especially on their wolf nights. Neither my mum or dad would have killed themselves due to becoming a Werewolf! They never would've left Stori and me alone like that! Sometimes I think that our universe had things backwards and now I see it's not just my universe anymore."
Hope released a breath as she looked out in the distance to see another house for sale. "Sadly I can't help but agree with you there love."
The Tribrid held out her hand for Daphne to take, which the Ice Witch did instantly, allowing Hope to walk them across the road to the next house. Hope decided to use this opportunity to impart some advice from her own experiences. "However, just as there is mass amounts of evil and idiotic, if not deplorable behaviour. There are also equal amounts of euphoric and blinding love in the world that make up for all the despair that exists. Otherwise what is the point of life, if not for all the ups and downs that life throws at us?"
Daphne frowned slightly as she considered her wife's words before a little smirk of mirth crossed her lips as she answered. "You mean other than finding out how much 'Fate' and 'Death' can throw at us before we lose our minds from jumping between universes and different timelines?"
The Werewolf girl snorted at her soulmate's interpretation but nodded her head slightly in agreement. "I suppose that's one way to look at it." Hope and Daphne were standing outside of a rather modern home with some lovely hints of French architecture that drew both of the girls' eyes to the home. "Then again, 'Life' works in some mysterious ways. I think we found our new home."
Alexandria flew over the house that caught both of the Witches' attention to give it a bird's eye appraisal from the sky. The building had two storeys but wasn't as large as the Argent's old house down the road. Without going inside, the house was aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The Thunderbird assumes this is what captured her Familiar's gaze as well as its familiar roots back to New Orleans and quite possibly the Flamels.
The backyard was a little larger than what she expected with the property not backing directly onto the boundary of the preserve. There was enough room around the house that the girls would have their own privacy without even needing to erect their wards.
The golden coloured bird gave a whistle of approval as she flew back to Hope and landed gracefully on her left shoulder, nodding her little head. Alexandria was happy with the placement of the property being relatively close to the preserve if the girls wanted to roam in the forest in their animal forms. Not to mention, it was excellent for Alexandria to go hunting for small game.
"I think you're right." Daphne replied as she took in the house in reverence.
"Wonderful!... I think we need to make a quick pit stop to New York or somewhere on the Eastern seaboard. We need a phone or two. We won't fit in without them." Hope clapped her hands together proudly before a stray thought crossed her mind. "Alexandria? Could you be a dear and possibly find out where Lydia lives?
Daphne sighed, watching as the golden bird took her request to locate the strawberry blonde as a personal mission and flew off in a streak of shining feathers.
The Emrys couple disappeared in a silent crack of apparation only to land outside of a mall which was in the process of opening all their shops inside to the 10am crowd. "Good thing that Professor Babbling finished her runestone array that allows us to use technology."
"I wasn't expecting to use it for another 10 years or so… Until we ended up in the future that is. Thank God that Nic, Nelle, Sheda and Aunt Freya had the foresight to get this runestone created." Hope continued her wife's thoughts as she led them through the mall.
A pensive look appeared on the Tribrid's face as she spoke aloud. "You know, it's strange. Any time I use words like foresight my mind immediately goes straight to Luna, wondering if she knew we would need this runestone in the near future."
Daphne froze for a moment as she pursed her lips, nodding her head with a miniscule motion as she agreed with the brunette. "It honestly wouldn't surprise me. Merlin! It wouldn't even surprise me if Luna was somewhat behind the quick inception of this Technology rune."
It took Hope and Daphne maybe an hour to set up their new phones, a traceable bank account with all the paperwork included so they actually existed in this world to some degree. Hope's compulsion was used quite a bit during that interaction with the bank manager since they didn't have birth certificates or any form of proof of identity.
The brunette promised to teach the blonde how to use her phone properly when they had the house in their name. Hope only wanted Daphne's name on the will as she was used to her universe's problems with Vampires. The Tribrid wanted someone living to own the house to control who could enter the property but Daphne had vetoed her.
Hope took the time it would take for the realtor to travel from Beacon County to Beacon Hills, possibly about 30 minutes or so, to etch the runes into the back of the phones. So they can now use them without fear of them blowing up from magical backlash and for Hope to teach Daphne the basics of a phone, like phone calls and messaging.
The realtor finally showed up in a relatively brand new car with a wide smile on his face and an expensive suit. The man took them through the house as he explained the history and potential possibilities they could use the space for.
On the bottom level of the house there was an open lounge room, dining room and kitchen while on the other side of the hallway starting at the back of the house was a laundry room, bathroom and single car garage.
Hope and Daphne followed the realtor up the stairs which was parallel to the hallway to be greeted with four doors. A master bedroom to the right with a bathroom to the right but located on the wall in front of them. The bathroom can be accessed from both the main area and the master bedroom with locks on both doors from within the two doors.
The two remaining rooms are spare bedrooms. One door off to the left and the other is in front of them but just slightly off to the left. The realtor showed them all the rooms and answered any questions that his potential buyers had.
Hope asked if all the furniture was included when purchasing the house as she was fairly happy with most of the items within the house and would make moving in so much easier and stress-free.
However, Daphne already had plans to vanish most of the bedroom supplies from the spare bedroom on the left and turn it into an art studio for herself and Hope. While Hope considered the garage downstairs, turning it into a training room. Some expansion charms and impervious charms on the walls would give them plenty of room to spar.
When mentally discussing the fate of the other spare bedroom the girls decided to keep it. Perhaps one day Allison may stay with them once she gets to know them and she'll need a room to sleep in without being overzealous by having her sleep in the master bedroom with them.
After buying the house from the realtor with a decent amount of bartering from the three of them. Hope and Daphne managed to convince lower the price by $25,000 so the home cost $425,000 instead of the original asking price of $450,000 and the house was already fully furnished.
The man who was brokering the deal with them set up a laptop on the hood of his car to organise payment. The payment was accepted and he told them to come to the office anytime before 5pm to pick up the key. Letting them know that they could move in as early as tonight since the property was vacant and they planned on keeping the furniture.
The teenagers were pressed for time as they apparated to Alexandria's location, behind a tree off the main road so no one could see them arrive suddenly on Lydia's doorstep. With all the jumps from L.A. to New York and back across the different time zones they managed to knock on the strawberry blonde's door at 9:04am. Only 4 minutes late, which for them, it wasn't too bad considering they had set up some of their identities and bought a house in the span of 2 hours.
The Thunderbird quickly swooped down out of the tree and landed on Hope's shoulder and Hope instantly waved her hand, casting a non-verbal invisibility spell. The Werewolf and Animagus Witch could hear footsteps approaching the door but it didn't sound like a teenager's steps, they were more distinctive and steady, like someone who had grown into their body and was comfortable with themselves.
A middle aged woman with auburn hair and a pair of glasses opened the door with a look of confusion on her face. "Uh, hello?"
"Hi. You must be Lydia's mother. Your daughter invited us around to chat and to catch us up on the gossip in the town before we start up at Beacon Hills High next week." Hope explained as it would seem as though Lydia didn't let her mother know they were coming around.
"This is Daphne. I'm Hope. Perhaps this could all be cleared up if you could possibly call Lydia down to confirm?" Hope offered with an awkward look on her face.
Ms Martin blinked a couple of times before waving her hand in dismissal. "As if my daughter would listen to me anyway."
The older woman rolled her eyes at her daughter's attitude as of recently. "You may as well come in. Lydia's room is up the stairs and the 2nd door on the right. Maybe you can tell my daughter to stop fighting me on everything but then again you can't change her mind when she set on something."
"I may have only met her once but that is something that I learned fairly quickly." The brunette admitted with a small smile and a half-hearted laugh.
"Anyway, I've got to go. I have a meeting that I can't be any later for. Can you lock the door behind you?" Ms Martin mentioned as she squeezed through the two kids in order to get to her car.
"Yeah. We can do that. Nice meeting you Ms Martin." Hope replied as the woman was getting into her car.
The girls watched the car drive off, when the car was heading down the road Daphne turned to Hope. "Do people normally just allow random people to enter their homes without any proof of who they are and then leave them alone in their home?"
Hope shrugged, a little in shock herself as they walked through the door, Ms Martin's invitation from earlier allowed Hope to enter the house. Hope locked the door behind her as they walked through the doorway before softly shutting the door closed behind them.
The Emrys couple gave each other a quick glance before Hope took the lead, following Lydia's mum's directions up to Lydia's room along with her own superhearing, focusing on the only other heartbeat in the house that wasn't in Hope's immediate vicinity.
Hope knocked gently on the door when they reached the correct doorway, waiting outside until they were invited inside. Daphne on the other hand rolled her eyes before leaning closer to the door and calling out. "Hey Lydia. It's Daphne and Hope. Can we come in?"
Hope and Daphne heard a muffled swear, the closing sound of a laptop lid and a rustling of bedsheets. Lydia rushed to clean up her bed before bolting to the door in order to open the door for her guests.
"Hi." Lydia turned her head to the side to get the time from the clock on the wall before turning back to the two girls. "You're late." The strawberry blonde mentioned with a level of sass that Hope found entertaining.
"Ah, you are right. Well that's too bad." Hope turned to Daphne in faux disappointment as she nodded her head to the side.
"Come on Daph, it seems that we haven't abided by Lydia's terms to arrive by 9am and apparently Lydia no longer wants to talk to us." Hope sadly exclaimed as she reached down for Daphne's hand.
The British girl looked back the way they came but Lydia's hand shot out to grab their arms to stop them from leaving. "Okay! Okay. I get it. Now get your butts in. Did my mum leave yet?"
Hope chuckled slightly as she allowed herself to be pulled into Lydia's room. "Yeah, your mum invited us in before leaving for a meeting of some kind. I don't know."
Lydia directed the girls over to her bed before dragging over her rolly chair from her desk where she would do her homework and research on her computer or laptop. The strawberry blonde set the chair in front of the two girls and quickly sat down on the chair. Lydia was practically vibrating with unprecedented giddiness as she clasped her fingers together and rested them uncontrollably on her lap as she locked eyes with the other girls.
"So I've had some time to think about some questions that I wanted to ask you two. First off, what are you? I mean Hope mentioned being a Werewolf but you mentioned that you were apart of The Vampire Diaries universe. So does that mean that you are a Vampire… Wait, you're in my house… Probably not a Vampire then." Lydia started spurting out information with a remarkable speed and intelligence as she worked through her thoughts aloud.
Hope opened her mouth but slowly closed it as Lydia continued her monologue. "I also did a bit of research, you know, googling your names with the universes you said you were from to get a better understanding of the two of you. Hope, you weren't mentioned." Hope nodded her head slightly as she knew that she wouldn't be recorded as of yet since she hasn't even been born yet.
Daphne was amused as she listened to Lydia spout out facts at an alarming rate but sobered as she heard the next part of the strawberry blonde's speech. "But Daphne you are. The same year as Harry Potter, a Slytherin, one of the smartest kids in the year somewhat on par with Hermione and you are also known as the Ice Queen of Slytherin."
Hope scratched right above her eyebrow as pursed her lips together for a moment before interrupting the strawberry blonde. "Hang on there, Lydia. First take a breath and calm down. We're not going anywhere for quite a while so we have time to chat."
Lydia blinked as she looked between the two gorgeous girls. "Fine."
Hope gave a little smirk at Lydia's annoyed acceptance. "That information that you have on Daphne will be slightly outdated due to my interference in her world. Daphne and Hermione are both brilliant but both Daph and I tested ahead. Getting a complete set of Outstandings on our O.W.L's and N.E.W.T's respectively. So we have actually completed our schooling."
Daphne bumped against Hope's right shoulder slightly jolting the Thunderbird on her other shoulder at the motion and squawked indignantly, glaring toward Daphne. Lydia jumped at the sound and narrowed her eyes roughly in the direction of the sound. Hope waved her hand with a flourish to make Alexandria visible again.
"Besides, any rivalry that Hermione and I could've had vanished when Hope became friends with Harry and the fact that Hope actually had the highest marks in school." Daphne added with a huff.
Lydia was stumped between looking back and forth between Daphne and the newcomer on Hope's shoulder.
"This is Alexandria. I mentioned her to you last night. She's a Thunderbird and native to Daphne's universe. She can create thunderstorms, travel great distances through her lightning and she also has a larger form with 4 wings and is roughly the size of an elephant… Well at least when she doesn't spread her wings otherwise she'd span over 20 metres in length."
"Holy shit… Can I touch her? She looks like a bundle of living sunlight." Lydia mentioned in awe as her eyes remained locked on the mythical bird who puffed up her feathers proudly.
Alexandria started walking down Hope's arm as she straightened it out for the bird to use as a walkway down to her lower arm. The Tribrid offered her arm out in the strawberry blonde's direction.
"By all means. Alexandria's a sweetheart unless you manage to piss her off. If you want to get on her good side just give her some chin and cheek scratches. She loves those." Hope informed the other girl.
"As for your guesses about me in particular. You were heading in the right direction. I am a Werewolf, just not from this world. So Alphas, Betas and Omegas are much harder to differentiate in my world. We don't have definitive eye colours to label which status we hold." Hope told Lydia as she was stroking gentle lines along the Thunderbird's soft feathers.
"Since I have a strange recollection that Hale Park or Scott and Stiles didn't fill you in about Werewolves from this universe I'll go through the similarities and differences between the two. If you'd like?" Hope offered willingly.
Lydia looked as though Christmas came early and nodded her head. "Yeah… Wait, hang on."
The strawberry blonde pushed herself back in the chair so she could quickly get to her desk and grabbed a notebook and pen before rolling back to in front of the girls. Opening a fresh page of paper to start writing on.
Daphne made a small noise as she turned to her wife. "Oh… So she's the 'me' or Hermione of this world?"
"Considering who you compared me to, I'll take that as a compliment." Lydia mentioned with a raised eyebrow.
Hope smirked. "It was a compliment. Trust me. Also Daph, in this world it would be Lydia and Stiles who would probably be the most like you or Hermione."
Hope took the time to explain the differences between the two species of Werewolves. She also wanted to tell Lydia about the Werewolves from Daphne's universe but the strawberry blonde was able to answer any trivia in regards to ' Hogwarts ' Werewolves so Hope skipped over them.
Daphne watched Lydia neatly print a few choice words in regards to certain abilities along with footnotes whenever Hope would give an instance when there was mention of someone from either of the worlds doing something extraordinarily unique. Hope herself had the most side notes as she learned how to perform some bizarre feats, at least in her world, they would be unusual.
For instance the semi-shift state that all Teen Wolf wolves are capable of doing is unheard of in Hope's universe unless the wolf in question was at bare minimum a Hybrid like Hope's mother and father. Hope could only theorise that her father would've been able to semi-shift if he dedicated some time to his wolf form. But Hayley proved to be able to shift her entire hand into a wolf paw and hold it for 5 seconds before shifting back to normal.
Hope told Lydia that both forms of Werewolves could heal remarkably fast, although the Tribrid could admit that the Alpha's heal faster than Betas, Omegas and the wolves from her world. But a Hybrid or Tribrid from her world heals much faster than an Alpha.
The Alphas, Betas and Omegas of this world also have a healing factor on others, taking their pain onto themselves. They also have the ability to roar in human form, Hope could growl in her semi-shift state but it hurts her vocal cords too much to produce a roar. Another thing was the method of how Werewolves were made. An Alpha can start the transition in anyone they bite, scratch too deeply or reportedly by drinking rainwater out of a wolf print in the mud.
Alternatively the Werewolves from Hope's world all belonged to one of the 7 cursed bloodlines: The Crescent Moon Pack, Deep Water Pack, Malraux Pack, BasRoq Pack, Barry Pack, Poldark Pack and Paxon Pack. The Werewolf trait could only be passed down through hereditary bloodlines.
The Wolves here could either be hereditary or turned meaning Hope's kind of Werewolves are subject to extinction which is what nearly happened twice. Once in the late 900's when Mikael slaughtered entire Werewolf packs due to his wife's infidelity. The other was during the Werewolf Genocide which lasted for nearly 600 years as the Vampires begun hunting Werewolves for their own survival as a Werewolf Bite can kill a Vampire and the fear imparted on them from Klaus' The Sun and the Moon curse.
Another major difference is that Hope's Werewolves have to shift into a full wolf form every full moon unless they were a Hybrid, Evolved Wolf or Tribrid. Hope also told Lydia that this wasn't always the case with Werewolves from this world, mentioning that this world also had Evolved Wolves. These Werewolves could turn into a full wolf form as well, giving Lydia an example of Talia Hale and Laura Hale.
Both versions of Werewolves have super senses, super strength, some degree of super speed, durability and a healing factor. These obviously change accordingly depending on the age and/or status of the Wolf.
But these are just the physical attributes the two species share. There are also characteristics that mirror each other across universes such as bursts of uncontrollable anger, bloodlust on a full moon, a generalised quick fuse to set them off, competitive, remarkably healthy and loyalty to those they consider family or pack.
Lydia had written nearly 4 pages worth of notes before sitting back in her chair and placing the notebook on her lap for a moment as she rotated her wrist painfully as multiple cracks sounded from that location.
"Ow. Do you mind if we take a small break? I think my wrist is moments away from breaking apart." Lydia mentioned as she continued to rotate her wrist in circles.
"Sure. Since I'm over talking for now. Daph can go next with Witches." Hope complained as Daphne lifted her head up from where she had been preening at Alexandria's feathers while the young Thunderbird slept.
Daphne rolled her eyes at Hope before smiling at Lydia. "Congratulations! You've managed to do something very few people have bragging rights to. Shutting up Hope."
The blonde smirked at the dig to her wife while Hope turned her head towards Daphne with an unimpressed look on her face. "I'd argue but that would include too much effort on my part."
Lydia laughed at the banter between the two girls, ever so grateful that these two were more than willing to be snarky around her.
Daphne carefully picked up Alexandria from her lap and cradled the golden bird in her chilled arms as the three girls managed to force their limbs to start moving again.
To Lydia's shock, her visitors have been here for nearly 3 hours and they've barely covered 1 supernatural creature with her.
"I need food, come on." Lydia mentioned as she led the pair throughout her house until they reached the kitchen which unfortunately for the strawberry blonde had her mother already in the room.
"Mum? I thought that you were out for the day?" Lydia blurted out as she turned back to the blonde and brunette with a scared look on her face.
"I finished up early and wanted to spend some time with my daughter but apparently she's busy with her new friends that I know nothing about… Is that a bird?" The older Martin woman snarked back to her outspoken daughter before her attention was distracted by the animal in the blonde's arms.
Hope and Daphne were mute as they stared at the older woman but thankfully Lydia came to the rescue with an imaginative but believable lie on the spot. "Mum, it's a Golden Eagle. She flew into my room, completely tired and allowed Daphne to take care of her. I think the bird bonded with Hope and Daphne. She seems fairly domesticated, she even let me pet her."
Ms Martin blinked blankly as she stared ahead without moving trying to comprehend what she was told. Lydia smirked as she managed to stupify her mother and moved around her mother's still form to get to the fridge behind her.
Hope walked forward to the counter that divided the dining room from the kitchen and took a seat at the stool, pulling out a second seat for Daphne. The blonde joined Hope, gently placing Alexandria onto the counter between the Tribrid and Ice Witch so they both could stroke over the Familiar's feathers.
"Right… If I'm not mistaken I think you need a permit of some kind to own a Golden Eagle." Ms Martin mentioned when her brain managed to reboot.
"Uh, I don't plan on getting a permit. This bird isn't mine and I would never force her to be. As soon as she's rested enough I imagine she'll fly off. Wild and free and all that nonsense." Hope replied much to Lydia's confusion as she thought the bird was the brunette's pet.
"Do you three want some lunch? I can help put something together for you?" The older woman offered as these girls seemed like they were good kids for her daughter to hang out with.
Hope and Daphne turned their gaze to Lydia as this wasn't their home and they didn't know what the strawberry blonde wanted them to do.
Lydia got some items out before looking over her mother's shoulder to see what her mother had already gathered in front of her before she went back into the fridge to get more ingredients.
From the actions made by Lydia, the two girls smiled in the older woman's direction and Daphne answered Lydia's mother's question. "Yes. That would be lovely. Thank you. Do you want any help?"
"I've got it. You two can stay where you are." Lydia replied before her mum could reply but when the younger girl glanced over to her mum whose jaw was stuck in a dropped position while staring at Daphne.
"Why are you staring at Daphne like that mum?" Lydia questioned as she bumped into her mother's shoulder to shake her out of her dumbfounded state.
Daphne also looked a little confused at the attention as Ms Martin looked embarrassed. "I'm sorry about that. It's just that you have a beautiful voice. I was stunned speechless."
A blush appeared on Daphne's cheeks and Hope started to chuckle under her breath until Lydia added onto her mother's observation causing the Tribrid to laugh heartedly. "I know right?! Her voice is so sexy and I get to listen to it for hours as she shares her knowledge with me."
"Now I'm jealous." The mother of one remarked as she started prepping for lunch.
"Oh, please do continue praising Daphne on her 'sexy' British accent. I love seeing her blush Ms Martin." Hope laughed as she poked at Daphne's timid nature, blushing further as she tried to bury her head into her arms resting on her arms.
"Shut up." Daphne's muffled voice sounded from her arms.
The girls were treated to a lovely lunch of a caesar salad and some quinoa on the side made by the Martins. Hope and Daphne chatted with the pair for another hour, learning more about the strawberry blonde's life as well as the older woman's name, Natalie.
Eventually Lydia grew too embarrassed to remain downstairs as her mother wouldn't stop telling stories about her childhood. She practically frog-marched the other two girls back upstairs to her bedroom after allowing Hope to gather up the dozing bird who let out a tired whistle before falling back asleep.
Daphne went through all her knowledge about Witches from Hogwarts, giving examples of common or average feats of magic and comparing these with what Daphne and Hope were capable of. Explaining the differences between the power levels and how focuses affect their spells: With wand and incantation, wand only, incantation only and both silent and wandless.
This is the order of most to least powerful methods of performing spells in the Hogwarts universe. Whereas when Hope took over to explain Witches from her world, the focuses are: hand movement and incantation, hand movement only, incantation only and on very rare cases like Hope, Freya, Bonnie or Davina; eye-contact only.
Hope had enough time before they had to leave to collect the keys from the realtor on the other side of town to go through a brief history of the Original Vampires, her family. The Tribrid promised to come back to the subject at a later date because it would take far too long to explain within two hours.
The last bit of information Hope and Daphne left with Lydia was what species they were. They went through Daphne first as the couple knew there would be less questions since Lydia already knew about the Hogwarts universe. The strawberry blonde girl with the 170 IQ has read through all the Harry Potter books multiple times and watched all the movies, the last of which was released only a couple of weeks ago.
Trying to explain Hope was fun. Lydia kept querying how a Tribrid could exist and how come only some properties were present while others cancelled each other out. At one stage, Lydia made a joke about needing an invitation to enter another person's home. But Hope quickly dismissed that notion by mentioning that Natalie had invited them in upon their arrival before she left for her meeting.
Hope and Daphne are walking through their new home in Beacon Hills, making their alterations to the two rooms upstairs and downstairs into their new rooms. "Well, my throat hurts from all the talking today. I still can't believe that we agreed to go back the day after tomorrow to talk more." Daphne groaned loudly in complaint so her wife could hear her from downstairs.
Hope chuckled quietly in an attempt to hide her amusement before calling up to Daphne. "I know… Even with advanced healing it feels like my mouth is 10 seconds away from falling off my face."
While on their respective floors of their new home the girls summoned their wands from their holsters, etching the Technology rune into all the power switches on the walls, into the light fixtures and any electrical appliances. For most of these runes, they were hidden either behind or under the appliances but on the light switches they decided to place the mark in the bottom right hand corner and if asked dismiss it as a stamp from the electrical company.
It took the powerful Witch couple roughly 2 hours to finish all the alterations to the house, along with any glamours, conjurations or other spells that will make life easier in the future. But there were still some things like art supplies and sparring equipment that Hope had plans on buying tomorrow.
Hope took the advice given by Nic and Nelle to heart from her second day in a brand new universe, the Wizarding universe, Daphne's universe. The advice being, items that were created or manufactured by man or nature rather than magic always worked better than an illusion or conjuration, so it was always better to enhance real items instead.
Daphne will be using this opportunity to take Alexandria through the woods to get a feel of the lands, locate a large tree stump called the Nemeton and take some time as a wolf and tiger to scent the area. Learn what she can about the new form of Werewolves from their scents.
However if Allison wasn't on a plane from Marseille to LAX, Hope and Daphne would've apparated across the world to spend more time with her tomorrow, face-to-face. But unfortunately it would be very difficult to explain two teenage girls suddenly appearing on a plane somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean.
Instead they crawled into bed, changing the sheets into something more soft and comfortable on their skin that was on display. Since their arrival in this universe, neither girl has felt comfortable enough to sleep naked.
They have been wearing a pair of loose shorts and a baggy shirt to bed. Daphne had given up on wearing her Wizarding sleepwear as she realised how constricting the fabric was. How more comfortable and freeing it was to have a cool breeze brush over her bare skin.
Hope and Daphne were smiling as they twisted and turned in bed, sharing some intimate touches and bruising kisses.
A loud groan sounded, amusing the brunette as she trailed her tongue along the blonde's neck, her fingers playing with the Mikaelson crest at the blonde's throat. The Tribrid's fangs extended as she was about to take a bite out of her Mate. Hope and Daphne may have been fed by the Martin's earlier today but it wasn't nearly enough to sate the hunger of a Vampire.
Daphne was moaning as she awaited for the inevitable sting and euphoric pleasure from Hope's bite. Her fangs had barely grazed Daphne's neck but a disturbed groan in both of the girls' minds had them pull back with a confused look on their faces.
" Stop! Oh my God! Please stop! " Allison blurted out over their soulbond quite loudly, shocking the two girls in the middle of a make-out/feeding session.
" Allison? " Hope questioned as her brain worked in overtime to comprehend the voice in her head over her arousal.
Since the mood was ruined, Hope moved off the top of Daphne collapsing off to the side with a small groan.
" Who else would it be? I was about 5 seconds away from stripping on a fully populated plane. I'm this close to offering myself up to just about anyone on this damn metal aircraft. And now I'm horny and frustrated to hell because of you two! " Allison berated the two girls with so much heat and anger in her voice.
Hope and Daphne growled at the imagery their ivory-skinned soulmate described but they didn't even get a chance to be angry as Allison was back on them again before they could even voice their detest. " Hey! You two don't have the right to be angry! You did this to me! You two are supposed to be laying off sex and extreme emotions until you teach me how to block out these bloody powerful feelings! "
The couple in Beacon Hills glared at the ceiling as they couldn't even be mad at Allison for her frustration since it was their fault in reality.
" Sorry. " Daphne apologised over their connection, albeit reluctantly as she wasn't in the original conversation between Hope and Allison last night.
"This sucks! Daph, I need to feed! I haven't had any blood since we've arrived in this universe. I'm hungry." Hope complained quietly as blood-red eyes stared longingly at the blonde's neck.
Daphne huffed as well. "How do you think I feel?"
Hope suddenly froze, her eyes quickly losing their blood-red colour as a cold wave passed through the Tribrid's heart, dousing the heat from both Daphne and Allison.
" Okay… That's an uncomfortable feeling. What just happened and why do I feel like I got dumped into an ice bath? " Allison shivered in her seat.
Hope looked both awkward and displeased as she turned to face Daphne before twitching her nose in annoyance. " I just came to the realisation that I can't feed from Daphne until you learn to block us out. The sensations that we both feel during a feed acts like a sounding board just bouncing back and forth, enhancing the feelings we broadcast across the soulbond. "
" I'm sorry? Feed??? What do you mean 'feed'? " Allison demanded with a frown or disapproval.
" Hope's part Vampire… Remember? She needs to drink blood. Hope drinks from me rather than blood bags or others. Apparently my blood, the blood of a soulmate, can temper Hope's bloodlust and anger much better than any other form of blood. " The blonde Ice Witch informed the ravenette with a no nonsense tone practically telling the other girl that this conversation was over.
" ... " Allison wanted to argue against the information she had just learned but the giant warning signs blaring in her mind like sirens had the Huntress tongue-tied.
She didn't want to step over any boundaries, especially the ones that are so undeniably obvious that Allison would need to be blind not to see the thick ice walls in front of her.
" Good night Allison. " " Good night Allison… Just out of curiosity but did you happen to eavesdrop or sight-share when we were talking to Lydia? " Daphne and Hope called out after a few moments of awkward silence, although Hope's curiosity got the better of her.
The Emrys couple felt a mischievous smirk from the other end of their bond, the only reply they received was a simple 'good night'.
Hope and Daphne pursed their lips at the same time. "Allison's angry at us isn't she?"
"Yep." Hope replied to her wife's query.
Daphne sighed as she rolled onto her back, breaking her intimate eye contact with the woman she loved. "So darling, how are we going to find a solution to your problem? Are you going to drink from blood bags?"
Hope chuckled as she ran her fingers softly over Daphne's bare shoulder, pushing back the fabric of her shirt to expose more of the blonde's soft pale skin. "Silly girl. Are you forgetting how you gave blood to Sheda?"
The blonde's left eye twitches uncontrollably as she turns her head to glare at Hope's side profile. "I hate you a little, you evil tiny brat."
The brunette's mouth dropped open in feigned shock as she pushed herself up on one hand so she could glare down at Daphne gobsmacked at the audacity. "I am not tiny!"
