Nothing

When Tasha arrived at the venue, many people turned their heads to stare at her for a while. Those who recognized her would know who she was because her family was well-accomplished and well-known back in college and to this day.

Aside from rich heirs and heiresses, models, actors and actresses also attended as plus ones, not just to enjoy themselves but to build more connections. The networking opportunities were endless. Because of this, everyone wanted to leave a lasting impression on the high-profile attendees.

Of course, one way to leave an impression was to have a stunning outfit. That is why all attendees would make sure that they look their best, especially for the cameras. After all, this reunion would be filled with reporters and influencers who tend to discuss the outfits of everyone after the show- both the good and the bad.

Like most public figures, Tasha was very particular about her image as well. She wanted to portray a confident and gentle image, just like a Bane should be.

She couldn't wait to see Karlos falling in love with her all over again.

"Isn't that Tasha?" Karlos's girlfriend back in school?"

"She looks great."

"What brand is she wearing?" I can't tell."

Of course, no one could tell, because Tasha was wearing the latest design of a designer.

Her classmates welcomed her warmly, exchanging pleasantries.

Tasha's eyes slowly darted through the numerous faces in the room as they scanned every face in hopes of seeing the one she held close to her heart.

Immediately her eyes landed on him, she strained her neck a bit just to get a better glimpse of him.

Her heart began to race in her chest. She had wished he would walk up to her but unfortunately for her, Karlos was busy at a corner, entertaining his so-called wife.

Tasha let out a sad sigh when Karlos did not look in her direction and she returned her focus to her classmates.

"Excuse me."

"Sure"

Ignoring them, Tasha waved her way through the crowd while holding her head high at them as she made her way towards Karlos.

Just at that same moment, Karlos said something into Berlin's ears. Tasha's face drew a knot after witnessing their closeness lately. She made her way towards them from the center of the hall.

Tasha's rage and jealousy instantly spiked when she saw Berlin and Karlos holding hands. Her eyes caught sight of Berlin's lovely dress, and how it flaunted her slim figure.

Berlin was a natural beauty. It was just that she didn't know how to enhance her beauty before. When she didn't know better in her previous lifetime, she had always applied a thick layer of make-up, choosing dark and bright colors thinking it would make her look presentable. But it only made her look gaudy.

But Berlin was very different right now. Her hair was let down. Her complexion looked good and healthy

It was smooth and there were no dark spots. It didn't seem like there was a thick layer of makeup applied on her face as well. Her cheeks were rosy and her lips were plumb, with just the right color of lipstick on. She looked radiant. Every part of Berlin that looked so perfect only infuriated Tasha even more.

Berlin was stealing her thunder. Tasha clenched her fists in irritation but her face wore a smile.

Pushing down her jealousy, Tasha straightened her back and walked toward them and ignorimg the whispers around her as she moved through the crowd, Just as she reached them, Karlos and Berlin turned in her direction.

"Sorry to interrupt," she said smoothly. "But it's urgent. It's about Mr. Clinton. Karlos, you need to handle it right now."

What now? Karlos was not in the mood to tolerate anyone messing around.

He glanced at Berlin and she gave him a reassuring nod that she would be ok.

She could not do anything but watch him go alone with Tasha. Berlin knew Tasha's intentions of wanting to spend alone time with Karlos. Is either Karlos read between the lines or was completely oblivious?

Yes, there wasn't anything much going on between the two of them.

She did not just kiss someone many times for nothing, but even at that, she needed to be sure of where his heart was so as not to repeat the tragedy before.

Berlin glanced at their retreating back once more before heading to the washroom.

They went to a quiet part of the hotel. Karlos waited to hear what Tasha wanted. He thought it was strange his assistant hadn't called. He reached for his phone.

Then, he heard a zipper.

Karlos watched as Tasha undressed seductively waiting to get a reaction from him, but she got nothing...

"I made it all up. Maybe...you would like to undress me...we could go for a round or two" She said as she stalked towards him while eyeing him up and down. "Or maybe I should undress you first." She continued as she tugged at his shirt.

He grabbed her arm harshly and gave her a hard glare. Why didn't he feel comfortable or ok that this woman was trying to undress him when he had done this with her so many times?

'Had he truly lost that much interest in her.'

He let go of her arm and as soon as he did, she slid her arm around his neck and pulled him. Pressing her lips to his. She kissed him hungrily and he kissed her back. But he felt nothing. 'But why?'

He pushed her body closer, trying to feel something but nothing. She didn't taste as sweet as Berlin's cherry lips. She didn't make his heart beat as fast or his body burned as hot as he used to feel when he was with her.

Getting frustrated, he pushed her away and straightened his suit. She stared at him confused. She thought he was enjoying it as she was.

Turning around, he was walking out on her.

"Where are you going?" She called behind him. Ignoring her, he walked away.

While Berlin was left alone by herself, two people were staring daggers at her. One of them was Brenda and the other man was none other than Richmond.

"Are you sure about that?" Richmond's brows were furrowed as he stared intently at Berlin.

"I am. She has a thing for you. She has been scheming her way to get her way unto your bed"

"But she is Wayne! Doesn't her husband take care of her? If you know what I mean." Richmond asked. His face is extremely dark. He had been gobbling up food in the corner, glancing left and right at this high school reunion, people were not only competing with their fortune and jobs, girls were also showing off their curves and deep cleavages were everywhere. However, it quickly became boring for Richmond. He looked at a corner and noticed the lady in the peach dress. She was the most elegant, graceful and the most pretty one at the reunion. And now, hearing she was interested in having an affair with him.

A slow grin spread across his face.

This night was about to get interesting.
