My sweet sleep was interrupted by a very insolent knocking on the door that wouldn't stop in any way. I don't want to get up, maybe someone else will open the door.

- Ed, open the door," came from the next room in the same sleepy voice as mine.

- Who the hell would be breaking into our room in the morning? - I said, yawning as I sat up a little on my bed.

- It's the pizza delivery guy," I said lazily from the next room.

- Since you ordered the pizza, you could have picked it up yourself," I said with irritation in my voice, getting up from the bed and stretching a few times.

- I ordered it yesterday so I could eat it today. It was just a little early," the girl said, not planning to get out of bed. Wow... We're not even in a relationship and I already feel like an abusive victim.

Quickly putting on my slippers and pulling on a small pair of shorts, I made my way to the door. In general, I never liked pyjamas or anything like them, it was just much more comfortable to sleep in shorts. I couldn't understand those who dressed in what was essentially a full pyjama suit, and covered themselves with a blanket. How do they not get hot sleeping like that?In fact, I wonder what exactly compelled me to rent one double room rather than two separate ones. Greed, laziness, or the desire to deepen the relationship....

Hmmm, the question is complex, one might say philosophical, but deep down inside I do realise the truth. Yes, it is not too noble, and some may not accept it, but it had one single purpose - to save money.

I have five digits in my account now, but I still could not reduce my desire to save money. It's a little bit of a thing with me and the last Ed, so it's a pattern.

- Ahem, sorry for the delay, mate," I said as I opened the door to the room. There was a pissed-off guy about my age waiting for me. But he squirmed and smiled faintly at the sight of me. I wondered if it was work ethic or if my physique and full chest of scars were to blame. To put it bluntly, I don't give a fuck, so I'll just chock it up.

- I'm the delivery guy, here's your pizza," the guy said a little scared, handing me fifteen pizza boxes. And he carried them in his hands, up to the nineteenth floor, without a lift, and even waited at the door for about ten minutes.

- Thanks, mate. You are good, for your sufferings you definitely deserve a reward, here, take the payment together with tips, I am generous today, - I said good-naturedly, a little pleased with the guy, who somehow picked up and smiled happily.

Except I heard him say a couple of things before I closed the door.

- Fifteen cents? You're a cheapskate," he said quietly, but I heard him. That's the way to be nice to people, they don't appreciate it at all.

- Semilia, I brought your pizza," I said, turning around. But when I turned around, she was already sitting at the kitchen table, in just her shirt, waiting for her food.

- Seriously? You couldn't have just let me sleep then? - I asked her, complaining in my heart about the unfairness of the world.

- But then you could still sleep, but I'd have to get up," the girl said with a slightly wicked smile, taking a bite of the pizza she had just taken out of the box.

Ehhhhh, okay. What should I do today? I could work out. And I could also look up information on the various heroes and villains that are known at the moment. But honestly, I just want to relax and have fun. It's my day off today.

- Semilia, do you want to go out? - I asked the girl, who was still engrossed in her pizza.

She just lifted her head and looked at my face thoughtfully, not stopping to eat her pizza. She spent about three slices of pizza in that position before she nodded quietly.

- That's not a bad idea, we need to buy some regular clothes," Semilia said, really reminding me of something important. We both only have military uniforms, so buying civilian clothes is a must.

She stopped talking after that, continuing to eat her pizza. I waited quietly, watching her. This hotel actually gave me shorts and a Hawaiian shirt, but I look kind of silly in that, so I'd rather wear my military uniform.

After another glance at Semilia, who was still eating her pizza, I moved to my room, where I quickly changed. I was in the army for a reason, after all; changing clothes quickly was one of the most basic skills there.

When I got back to the kitchen, however, I found Semilia already dressed in her uniform and finishing the last slice of pizza. The last slice of pizza out of a whole fifteen huge pizzas. I think I understand now why she was actually nicknamed the witch, it's really some kind of magic.....

- Shall we go? - Semilia asked me at the moment when I still hadn't come away from her tricks. It's weird, but it fits into my world view, so I'd rather just ignore it.

- Yeah, sure," I said with a smile, pushing all unnecessary thoughts aside.

We walked out from behind our room and locked it, heading towards the stairs. With our stamina, we walked all nineteen floors without panting.

- Oh, Mr Kent, did you like the room? - The girl at the front desk asked me. She'd been trying to flirt with me since we got here, but a couple of ironic remarks from Semilia had somehow quieted her down a bit, leaving her only interested in me and friendly.

- Yes, thank you, it's a very nice room, especially for the price. We enjoyed it," I answered her with a smile.

- It had been a long time since I'd slept on such soft beds, it was really nice, especially compared to the army. Ed and I haven't had such a nice time in a long time," Semilia said in a tone that made even I blush. Okay, if she's embarrassing the poor girl, I'm willing to sacrifice her to Semilia, but why me?

- Ooh, thank you for that flattering appraisal, have a nice day," she said embarrassed, turning away.

I just gave Semilia a slightly leering look, to which she just smiled, and we left the building. I didn't really know where to go, but in a world where the internet existed, it was very easy to find what you needed. So in a minute we were walking towards some shopping centre, which was not too far from our hotel. The modern city looked really nice, especially for me, a regular resident of a medium-sized town who hadn't seen the beauty of modernity to its fullest.

I was interested in many of the things we passed by. I noticed a few bars, and a couple more clearly some unusual clubs.

As I looked around the city, I lit a cigarette, not really worrying about anything, but as it turned out, for nothing. It was forbidden to smoke in the middle of the city, which was considered a public place, so we were stopped by two policemen.

- Hi, I'm Officer Conners. Are you aware that smoking is not allowed in this place? - The policeman asked me while his partner just stood there silently.

- Officer Conners, I'm Major Kent. And as such, you'd better just get out of our way. The rank is still a little low," I simply answered him, giving him a hint to cut him some slack. It was strange that he had decided to approach me at all, since I was in my uniform, which I had already put on my new epaulettes.

- That doesn't allow you to disrupt public order, Major Kent," he said, but I was hypnotised, so I took the easy way out by telling him to leave me alone. Where are my privileges? I didn't even get a free smoke.

But by this point, we had already reached the place we wanted to go, which we entered immediately. Semilia was a girl, so she had a certain love of shopping. And so we decided to go to a women's clothing shop first.

- How do you like me, Ed? - the girl asked me as she came out of the fitting room wearing a new outfit that looked good on her. It was basically a white top, along with an equally white skirt. Semilia also picked up sunglasses, which she didn't put on her eyes, but just left on her hair.

- It looks really good on you. I'd say you're even more beautiful now," I complimented the girl, which she clearly liked, judging by the satisfied look on her face.

And since Semilia was not a particular fan of fashion, we limited ourselves to two outfits, heading to the men's clothing shop to find a suitable outfit for me. And I liked a classic suit, like some detective's. If you put a holster with two guns on it, it would look even better.

- You look great, too, especially in that suit. I can tell you're a serious man," the girl said, walking around me and taking a full look at me.

- Thank you," I said calmly, heading towards the cash register. I wasn't some sort of fan of a bunch of different outfits either, so I had quite enough. It was just enough for everyday, although I could buy some more slightly more homely clothes later, but that would be for when we were sent to a certain place.

After a little shopping, Semilia and I decided to go to a cafe, but the girl found a place that suited her better.

- Wouldn't you get bored of pizza if you only ate it? - I asked the girl who was dragging me by the hand to the pizzeria.

- I'll never get bored of it. Besides, I don't only eat it... well, almost," Semilia said as we entered the pizzeria.

I actually liked pizza myself, it was quite tasty, especially if it was made by a good chef, and this place was definitely a good one. After having a little snack, and brightening up the time with meaningless conversations, we headed back to the hotel.

We had just enough time left to do some procrastination. Still, we clearly wouldn't have much time for it in the future.....
