Overcoming Boredom part 1

Derek stared at the white space with his lazy eyes, who knows how long he had been here. Nothing could make him realize how long he had been trapped in this dimension. No matter how long he stared, only pure white was in front of him.

Derek could not help but explore what he could do with his skills in this room.

The attributes he had were quite large in mana, "I have 100 mana points and apart from stamina which is only 7, the others are above 10 points; I don't know what the human standard is"

Derek thought he could just ask but after calling the names of Siri, Karen, Alexa in this room for so long, no one answered him.

"I guess I'm alone here, ...(sigh)..... I am pretty bored here, so what can I do now".

Derek currently wants to trying magic, but he doesn't have the skills and knowledge how to try magic by himself in this white space alone.

Usually, his job was already determined when he received his status and cheat, but he had nothing but his unique ability.

"This gives me an idea " said Derek in his mind.

Derek's hyper adaptation ability is quite simple, he can adapt to his environment to survive.

So, what if he does not sleep for a few days, it is not like he'll become a creature that doesn't need sleep.

Let us just do it, thought Derek in his mind while flashing a smile on his face. From that day on, Derek chose not to sleep at all.

Derek's no-sleep experiment was not going smoothly, he almost fell asleep a few times. This time he tried to make suggestions to himself.

"Don't sleep, don't sleep, don't sleep " Derek repeated the same words repeatedly to try to chase away his sleepiness.

He kept repeating these words until a bell rang and a panel appeared in front of him.

Looking at the panel update in front of him, he had successfully obtained sleep resistance. Derek smiled as his experiment was successful.

"I'm a little less sleepy now and I didn't expect to get the suggestion skill; it's going to be a long journey from now on" said Derek with a smile on his face that did not disappear.

Derek did not expect that his words of encouragement could become a skill this easily. He plans to use the skill to hypnotize himself.

Derek did not expect that his current job was gaining experience.

Derek thought experience was only gained through killing monsters, but he could be like this anyway.

In the next few moments Derek felt sleepy again and this time he forced his eyes open. And how great it was to find that he had developed something amazing.

Derek was surprised at how many notices were in front of him right now. He needed time to digest each one.

hing so why would his experience bar have been met. And what surprised him the most was the notification that came after all the notifications he saw.

"Ah, It is leveled up apparently; I killed three birds with a new one; whata fun," the Derek in the white room said.

Some time passed, he no longer needed sleep because he had acquired sleep resistance. He recorded the time in his head like my cent, but he kept forgetting it when it reached tens of thousands.

He tried to do it again but with an intelligence of 12 he could not exceed tens of thousands. Keeping trying and trying repeatedly earned him a new title.

Derek spent too much time because he no longer needed sleep. But he became bored quickly.

"I've been bored so many times, why doesn't i get boredom resistance , what a strange system" Derek complained to the cheat system he was given is quite strange.

Staring into the void with nothing but himself made him want to try something else again.

He wanted to try running so he could gain fatigue resistance but no matter how far he travelled he got nowhere.

but Derek kept trying and trying repeatedly and his efforts seemed to work.

After 15 notifications he finally raised his stamina by 30 points and did not get the resistance he wanted at all.

So, he kept trying even though Derek was currently very tired, but the goal had not been achieved yet.

Derek's stamina rose by another 20 points which made his stamina attribute points total 57 points. An amount he did not expect, and the long-awaited herald finally arrived in front of him.

"Finally after all this time....(out of breath)....it's quite strange too; I ran for who knows how long but I didn't seem to leave the place at all" Derek said as he realized his achievement.

"Let's keep going until we reach max level" Derek said encouraging himself to continue his training. Derek continued to run, which did not go anywhere. But his resistance was not improving as easily as before, and his stamina was not improving either. 

Derek had the idea of trying to do the martial arts moves he knew to improve. He did run, martial arts, somersaults but what he got was not what he expected.

He was a little disappointed that his fatigue resistance increased to level 4 but on the other hand, he obtained a mixed martial art skill that he did not expect. That could be considered a bit of solace. 

Before continuing his comfort while being transported to another world, he wanted to see his status once again. "Status open" said Derek who had a holographic status in front of his eyes that was no longer the same as before.
