Overcoming Boredom Part 2

Derek felt a sense of pride in his heart as he saw his progress, the pride he felt in his heart continued to grow but his boredom came back naturally. It was like he was cursed to feel bored easily.

"The experiment was fun but now I'm getting bored again, what can I do to pass the time in this white room, it's nothing here but me, I wish I had a skill that could make me have someone to talk to" Derek kept wondering in his mind what he could do now.

Now that he was getting bored made him lie down in the hard white room "This feels like lying on the floor of the house; quite interesting; it could also be good; come to think of it I'm talking here my voice doesn't echo " Derek after realizing this made him want to scream now maybe.

"Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (shouting loudly)" Derek shouted in this room. Derek continued to shout, expecting a skill like lion roar to appear but all he got was a feeling of relief.

"Well, that's a bit disappointing, I feel a bit relieved but I'm still bored as usual and I wonder what I can do; I really want to eat but I'm not hungry at all; very strange; if I was hungry then I could try to get the hunger resistance but I can't; thank you white space" Derek expressed his feelings sarcastically to this white space.

A few moments passed; Derek was seen lying on his back in a position like he wanted to make a snow angel in this white-white room. He put on his bored face again while lying in this white room.

"I did as much as I could think of but I'm still very bored here, you want to sleep but I'm not sleepy" Derek sighed from his boredom.

Derek is a loafer, but he likes to have fun unlike a true loafer who should be happy doing nothing. He is a person who also likes to have fun if he is bored of something. for example, he used to build a house out of ice cream sticks because the lights were out.

This is called the power of boredom.

If you are alone in a white room with no one and nothing to do, you are bound to get bored.

The only thing that saved Derek from almost going crazy from boredom was his status that could be played for a while.

"What can I do well, I've done it all, from running in place, getting stamina, new skills and even learning MMA; it's strange how all this works; all I do now is live here and breathe" Derek suddenly got another idea of what he could do.

Derek wanted to try to regenerate ability, but he had to hurt himself. When he wanted to try it, he was afraid of the pain and cancelled it first. Derek was afraid that the ability would not appear as he expected, and he would be injured to death in this white room.

"It seems that the air here is very, very good for me to live in and how does that work, and can I become a creature that doesn't need to breathe by doing it here?"

Humans need oxygen to breathe, and this white space can somehow give them breath.

"If I'm not mistaken oxygen is one of the reasons why humans can age. This way, I can transcend the human body, it's quite a hill but I hope it's possible."

Derek realized that he had aged a bit in this room, he had a beard, and his hair was already there, Derek was aware of his own face.

Really Derek did not care about it at all. He was now like a man in his late 20s. He already had long hair and a thick beard and moustache.

The fact that he knew this was because he had heard from his friend "Thank you Rio, the knowledge you provide is very useful. In honor of that I am naming this project after Rio " Derek laughed maniacally in this white room alone like a madman.

"The Rio Unlimited project will start now " Derek announced the start of the project in a tone he copied from adverts. Derek began to hold his breath in this room.

A few seconds passed and Derek was still able to survive, Derek began to not be able to stand holding his breath, but he continued to survive so that he could continue to laze around without aging "I can't stand it anymore...."

Derek, who continued to survive, began to see fireflies in his eyes and he began to get dizzy due to lack of oxygen, but he continued to survive because of the influence of the title never gave up. Derek eventually collapsed on the spot.

[Unbreathe (Max) ability acquired] [Derek Wilton has advanced to level 1] [User has exceeded human limits] [Hyper adaptation (level 2) advanced to level 3] [Human evolved to High Human] [Void inhabitant title changed to Void Creature] [Confused resistance (Level 1) aqcuired]

. . .

"Ah...my head. what a bad experiment.... why am I doing this at all" Derek woke up with his head spinning. Derek had not noticed the notification that popped up yet, but he had already acquired another resistance after he woke up.

[Confused resistance (Level 1) acquired]

"What's with all these notifications, can someone calmly wake up after he fainted"

Derek complained because there was too much, he had to process again this time. Derek also tried to process one by one what updates happened.

[Unbreathe ability (Max) acquired] [Derek Wilton has risen to level 1] [User has surpassed the human limit] [Hyper adaptation (level 3) rose to level 4] [Human evolved to high human] [Void inhabitant title changed to Void Creature] [Confusion resistance (Level 1) acquired]

"I got what I wanted but the skill name is so tacky, I can try to raise it again and I can raise confused to the next level."

Derek was further amazed and confused "Inhabitant seems to be changing, doesn't this mean all this time I was just an immigrant then what kind of creature am I now, I better try to see first one by one."

[Unbreathe (Max): An ability that no living breathing creature should be able to obtain; With your unique skill you can obtain skills that no one has obtained before; Passive skill]

"Yay, the wait is over, this is all made easy because my unique skill is so amazing."

Derek was excited and placed his index finger on his nose, and he did not feel any air coming out after he tried to sigh.

"Sweet, thanks to hyper adaptation, I don't need to breathe anymore, and it seems that I have levelled up, quite a long time for someone who has a skill of 1000 times experience; a little disappointing."
