The two lines looked bright and promising. She had pretended not to know but in fact she knew all about how much Arsher had wanted a child with her. As she looked at the two lines she knew that she was about to make him the happiest man the world had ever known. Robina may have married him but she knew his joy came from her. She went to work as per norm and did everything normally except she had a happy extra pep to her steps. She was going to be a mother. Every chance she got she placed a hand on her stomach just so she could believe it was true. She was happy that she had no nausea or morning sickness. The angel looking out for her was doing a really good job no doubt. She hated the many trips to the bathroom and how much more food she was eating but she knew it'd be worth it.
Would it be a girl or a boy? Was there a shade of blue or pink that was neutral? Did she need to tell her mother or could she just keep quiet? Would Arsher be as excited as she was by the news? It didn't matter though because all she knew was regardless of whether he'd want her child or not, she was already in love with that baby and she was not about to stop loving it because of a man. She smiled as the thoughts clashed over each other in her mind. She knew she was not as wealthy but with her shop and the earnings she made she could give her baby a comfortable life, come what may. Right then the entertainment chanel she was watching cut to show her boyfriend and his fiance. She was admiring the man before she noticed the headline: RUMORS OF A PREGNANCY?
Somehow she felt hurt by it and a constriction in her tummy made her want to hurl. What had she been thinking, that the man was living in the same house with the lady without touching her? That he was going to marry her and never touch her? It was naive and very stupid of her to think that he was not sleeping with his own wife to be. Suddenly she couldn't hold it in. She rushed to her office and let the tears flow freely but it wasn't long before she welcomed the pain and the darkness that was overtaking her body.
