The school hallways buzzed with whispers as Kai and Daniel walked side by side.
"Is that really Kai?" a student muttered.
"No way… He used to be so quiet," another replied.
"Did you see that video? He took down eight guys!"
Kai ignored the voices, keeping his eyes forward. It was strange—just a few days ago, no one even noticed him. Now, everywhere he went, people either whispered about him or stepped aside, as if he had suddenly become untouchable.
Daniel, walking beside him with a camera in hand, grinned. "Enjoying the attention?"
Kai scoffed. "Not really."
Daniel smirked. "Well, get used to it. After this video, people won't just be talking about you. They'll be lining up to fight in our tournament."
Kai sighed but didn't argue. Instead, he looked at the camera as Daniel started recording.
The video began with Kai walking down the hallway, hands in his pockets, a calm but sharp look in his eyes.
"My name's Kai." His voice was steady. "Some of you might know me as the guy from that video—the one where I took down eight guys in my own classroom."
The camera moved slightly as Daniel adjusted the angle. Kai continued walking, speaking naturally.
"I'm not a hero. I don't fight because I want to 'protect people' or any of that nonsense. I just hate being annoyed."
He glanced at the camera.
"But that video? It got people talking. And it got me thinking."
He stopped in front of a classroom door.
"I'm starting something new. A real fight scene—a tournament for people who think they're strong. No rules, no teachers stopping you. Just skill, guts, and prize money."
Daniel turned the camera to himself.
"That's right," he said with a grin. "We're setting up a fighting tournament right here in this district. If you're tough enough, you can join. But if you're weak? You're just going to be another stepping stone."
He panned the camera back to Kai, who placed a hand on the door.
"And for those of you who think I got lucky in my last fight…" Kai smirked. "I'll prove I'm not weak—right now."
He pushed open the door and stepped inside.
Inside the classroom, a group of students stood in a circle. The sound of mocking laughter echoed off the walls.
A small kid, his books scattered on the floor, looked down in shame as five bullies stood over him.
And at the center of them all—
Tyler.
A brute of a high schooler, broad-shouldered and built like a tank. He cracked his knuckles as he grinned at his victim.
Kai took a slow step forward, his eyes locked onto Tyler.
"Tyler," he said, his voice calm but firm.
The classroom fell silent.
Tyler turned, eyebrows raised. His grin widened as he saw Kai.
"Oh? The famous fighter finally shows up," he chuckled. "What, here to beg for mercy?"
Kai smirked. "Nah. Just here to shut you up."
Tyler's grin vanished.
Daniel, still recording, whispered under his breath. "This is gonna be good."
