Chapter 6 Magic Threads

"Sister, wake up!" I heard Raphtalia's voice, and opened my eyes.

I could barely see anything because of the tears that were in my eyes, I quickly wiped them with my hand, and the first thing I saw was my sister's face, which had a very worried look on it, and behind her was Naofumi, also with a worried look on his face.

"Thank God, you scared me!" Raphtalia said and hugged me tightly.

I hugged her back and answered.

"Sorry!" and hugged her even tighter.

A few minutes later, Raphtalia moved away from me and looked into my eyes.

"What happened to you, you cried for quite a long time, a little at first, but then it was like a dam burst." My little sister said.

I sighed and decided to tell her, of course not everything, but at least about my wife.

"I remembered the one I should never forget…" I fell silent, trying to get my emotions under control

"Who?" Raphtalia asked me.

"My wife!" Raphtalia stopped and stopped moving after my words. I knew it, she had already started to feel something for me, just like me… but my heart already belonged to someone else.

"Then let's go to Naofumi, I want to meet that girl."- I said and dragged Raphtalia along with me.

Reaching the shield hero, he looked at me and Raphtalia.

"Have you dealt with your problems?"

I nodded and then answered.

"Yeah, you better introduce us." I said looking at the little girl who was behind Naofumi

He gently pushed her away and said.

"This is Filo, she turned into a human!" he said looking at the girl who was hesitating for some reason, but then ran up to me hugging me tightly, then ran away again and hid behind Naofumi.

I smiled at her cute actions and looking at the shield hero, I told him in a threatening tone

"You better not do anything to her or else… I'll castrate you!"

He visibly flinched at my tone and nodded very weakly, afraid to anger me.

"That's great!" I said as if nothing had happened, then added.

"Okay, let's go, we need to go see the bald man."

"Ganyu, his name is Elhart!" Naofumi told me.

"Well, that's what I said, a bald man!" I replied, not understanding the difference.

Naofumi groaned irritably, and Raphtalia began to laugh quietly. And only Filo did not understand what was being talked about.

While we were walking back to the city, Raphtalia asked a question to which I myself did not know the answer.

"Sister, why do you wear a bell on your neck?" - and indeed, why.

I know that Ganyu from the game always wore it, but I know that my world is different from the game, then why.

It was at that moment that my vision changed, and I saw a beautiful girl with white hair and blue eyes.

"Xi Er, are you back already? Didn't you carry out the task that Morax gave you?" - this voice came from me.

The girl smiled and answered me.

"I've already completed this task! And I also brought you a present!" the girl said, and handed me a package.

I felt warmth from her words, and unwrapped the present she offered her.

After the world returned back, I looked at Raphtalia, who was waiting for my answer.

As soon as we entered the city, we immediately headed to the bald man's shop.

"Great!" the bald man said to us when we entered his shop, then his gaze moved to Filo.

"I see, you are an inveterate lolicon?" he asked Naofumi, to which I snorted cheerfully, and the shield hero shouted.

"Dear master, I am hungry!" said Filo, the shield hero, because she saw a sandwich lying on the counter.

"If you want, you can bite!" said the bald man

Filo, without thinking for long, turned back into a large bird, and swallowed the entire sandwich in one swing.

Which made me laugh only when I saw the bald man's face, he clearly thought that a girl would not be able to eat his sandwich.

"Elhart, sell us clothes!" said Naofumi.

"Clothes?" asked the man.

"The clothes that Filo wears are torn from the transformation, we need the ones that will not be torn!"

"You need to go to the dressmaker, this is temporary for her so she doesn't walk around naked!" he said, handing over the cloak to Filo

Our next stop was the tailor's shop, where...

"Wow, she's so cute, like an angel." the girl working in the shop said. After they talked for a bit, the dressmaker called Naofumi "daddy", which made Filo decide to ask him.

"So you're my dad?" Filo asked, looking at the shield hero.

"I..." I didn't let him say anything and answered.

"Yes, Filo, he's your dad!" I said, and got an irritated look from Naofumi.

He sighed and turned to the dressmaker again.

"We need an outfit that won't get torn by Filo turning into a big bird!"

Which made the girl's eyes sparkle and she said in an encouraging tone.

"I'll make her a dress of unearthly beauty!"

Afterwards we left the store and headed to that fortune teller's store with a crystal ball, we needed an enchanted magic thread for Filo's dress.

In the end, it was possible to do it with her, to enchant the magic thread, but her magic stone broke, which, according to her, was not cheap. I was about to pay for it, but Naofumi didn't let me, as a "father", he should pay for his daughter himself. He told me so directly. Somehow he accepted his paternity very quickly, I was joking then!

In the end, we didn't buy anything and left the store, and then the city, where we got into a carriage that Filo was pulling behind her.

On the way, I couldn't help but smile, Filo was singing some song, which many would find annoying, but not me.

"How happy Filo is!" Raphtalia said, sitting next to me, driving the carriage.

"Well, she's got a "daddy"!" I said, smiling, knowing that my comment was starting to irritate Naofumi

On the way, we met some guy who was running along the road. Raphtalia stopped the carriage and asked the guy.

"What happened?" he immediately looked at her and said

"Please take the carriage, I need to go beyond the mountains!" the guy said.

And in the end, Naofumi intervened and offered him one silver coin for Filo to take him to his village. And of course, he didn't have any money, but Naofumi said that a loan would do.

The guy and Naofumi got on Filo and sped away, leaving Raphtalia and me in the carriage.

"Let's set up camp!" I told her and pulled the cart without any difficulty, to which she exclaimed in surprise, because of my strength.

We found a small clearing where we set up camp. We lit a fire and began to fry the meat, which was frozen using cryo energy, so it would not spoil, and it could be sold for more, according to Naofumi.

In our diet, there was rabbit meat, I noticed that I was getting better and better at cooking, for this reason I bought a lot of seasonings, which were stored in the cart. My cooking is not yet comparable to restaurant food, but it is better than in the hotels where we stayed.

In the evening, Filo and Naofumi returned with the food that guy gave them, and I began to prepare dinner. This time it was pork with seasoning and vegetables that Naofumi brought.

"How delicious!" Filo exclaimed.

"Yes, sister cooks very tasty!" - added my sister.

"I haven't eaten such delicious food for a long time!" - Naofumi said happily, continuing to eat his portion.

I was happy with their praise, it means that it was not in vain that I learned to cook and someday I will cook delicious dishes especially for Xi Er (Keqing).

The next few days we were busy selling the loot, and giving rides to various people, well, mostly Naofumi worked part-time, and I just stayed next to Raphtalia.

"I can't even believe that I'm riding with a holy bird," - said the man we were giving a ride to. As a result, rumors began to spread about Naofumi that he was a holy bird, because he helped many people and people began to call him that.

The carriage stopped and I looked at the group of people who stood in the middle of the road and before their leader spoke, I had already pierced everyone with my ice. Yes, it was pretty tough, but I didn't care, just like Raphtalia and Naofumi. Only the merchant we were giving a ride to was shocked that I didn't even move, but I was able to kill all the bandits, and so cruelly.

I knew from the anime that they had a warehouse with the loot somewhere, and after rummaging through the leader's pockets, I found a map with a mark on it, where we and our loot were, boldly taking it.

After showing my power, the merchant sat quietly and was even afraid to move, but I don't blame him, after all, it's not every day you see a young girl who can easily kill a group of men without even lifting a finger, and who didn't even bat an eyelid because of their murder.

In the end, we gave this merchant a lift, as it turned out, he was a jeweler, and Naofumi asked him to teach him how to mine and process precious stones, saturate them with mana.

In the end, this merchant introduced us to a secret network of merchants, from where we learned from other trades.

By the way, I remember from the anime that the heroes cannot level up together, but this apparently does not apply to me, since Naofumi easily increases his level. Maybe this is due to the fact that I myself have no level or I am just an anomaly in this world and replaced the hero of the bow. I don't know! But I somehow got around this restriction.

In the end, we learned that Motoyasu the pedophile saved the village in the southwest with the help of the legendary plant, and of course together with that whore.

And the emo goth, who is the hero of the sword, headed to the southeast in order to defeat rare monsters. And of course, like in the anime, he defeated the dragon, leaving it to decompose, and that means we have to deal with a zombie dragon.

Eventually, Naofumi contacted some guy who knew where to find a stone for a magic thread. We went back to the city, where we picked up that woman from the magic shop and went in search of this stone.

We were driving through a gorge when we saw the ruins of some temple, which were very similar to the ancient Greek ones.

Having gone down, we went into one of the nearby caves.

"Once in this temple, one evil alchemist kept his laboratory, I didn't think that there was another passage here!" - the woman said.

"According to that miner, monsters have settled here and no one comes here! Be on your guard!" - Naofumi said, turning to us.

Going further into the cave, well it wasn't a cave anymore, but some kind of dungeon, where in the center stood a chest, which was empty.

The woman looked at the sign next to the chest and told us.

"This is the language of the ancients!"

Then she added

"The literal translation is: may the damn seed never see the light of day, otherwise the hope of exterminating the destructive famine will be embodied in the most nightmarish form!"

"Yeah? Then why isn't this "seed" here?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"The bandits probably already pulled it out!" Naofumi said.

"Well, I don't see anything like what this "prophecy" says, well of course if the "destructive famine" is not these waves of disaster!" I said.

"Daddy, look, there's another passage!" Filo said, and the three of us looked in the direction she was pointing with her wing.

"Thank you, Filo! Okay, let's go see what's there!" Naofumi said and we followed him.

Walking further down the corridor, the woman stopped us.

"Wait! Look, this is a monster's paw print, and a pretty big one!" she said, pointing to a dent in the ground.

"Hmm, I've never seen such monsters before, but we can't stop!" I said, still looking at the print.

"Yes, we need to go further to get what we came for!" Naofumi supported me, then added.

"The main thing…" he didn't have time to finish, as the torch he was holding in his hands went out.

A glow appeared around us

"I'm tired of my sister, she chose her wife! Maybe I should just kill her, then you'll love me?" I heard Raphtalia's angry voice.

"Raphtalia…" the sorceress interrupted me.

"Don't listen to that voice! The monsters that live here try to anger people with the most unpleasant words for them!"

After her words, I breathed a sigh of relief, because I knew that Raphtalia would never want or do such a thing.

"What vile creatures!" Naofumi said angrily

"Ouch, someone cut me! Do something." Naofumi shouted at the sorceress.

She took out her wand, just like a witch from Hogwarts.

"I, the source of power, command you, unravel the laws of nature again and illuminate our sight. Immediate liberation!"- a blue glow began to emanate from her wand.

We were surrounded by some creepy bats, and Filo used her abilities on these bats, which she sucked into the hurricane created by Filo

"Okay, let's move on!" Naofumi said as he lit the torch.

"Daddy, you won't abandon Filo, will you!" the bird girl asked

"What? Of course not! Don't listen to all the voices!" the shield hero said and moved further down the corridor.

"There's something there!" Filo said as we came out to a cave, which was filled with various precious stones

Did we see a lion or a tiger? On which was a snake.

"Is that all? This monster is very weak!" I said, moving towards it.

He noticed me and prepared to attack me, but I dodged his blow, simultaneously shooting an arrow into his eye.

*Rar*

He growled in pain, and the arrow remained in his eye. I noticed that he had become stronger and it is not for nothing that they say "a wounded beast, a dangerous beast", but he still cannot compare to me.

I dodged his attack again, this time my arrow pierced the head of the snake that was wrapped around his body. The snake died immediately. From which the lion-tiger became furious and began to carry out an attack that was reckless, his anger overshadowed his entire existence.

I dodged again and this time fired three more arrows in a row, one of them hit the eye, another in the head, and the third in the body.

He stopped and a second later fell down, dead.

"What a pity! "He was too weak!" I said disappointedly

Which shocked the sorceress, and Naofumi and Raphtalia simply rolled their eyes.

After that, we collected the stones and returned back to the city, where we created magic threads from which Filo's dress was later sewn.

"You're so cute!" I said hugging Filo.

I couldn't help but her dress and she herself were so cute that I wanted to hug her

"Okay, it's late, let's go rent some rooms!" Naofumi said, paying the dressmaker and we left the shop, heading towards the inn.
