Chapter 7 Memory

"Are you serious?" I asked.

"Very much so!" He replied.

"Morax, we are in the middle of a full-scale war, and you wanted to take a walk around the city?" I asked the Archon.

"Yeah, and Ganyu, do you have a mora with you?" Morax asked me.

I rolled my eyes and replied.

"Morax, you created a mora yourself and you want to tell me you don't have one?"

"Hehe." He laughed.

"That's not funny!" I yelled at him.

"Okay, okay, no need to yell!"

I sighed and decided to change the subject.

"How is Guizhong doing?"

"Are you interested in my personal life? Well, to answer your question, well, she and I are expecting a child." His words shocked me.

"Morax and dad? "Is this some kind of joke?" I asked sarcastically.

"Her!" he said, pointing at the girl.

And wow, she was so beautiful, her white hair and blue eyes, combined and created the image of an "ice queen". When I saw her, I felt my heart beat faster and I felt a heat that hit my face.

The girl noticed us and came over.

"Ganyu, this is Xi Er!" Morax said, to which the girl nodded to me.

Then he added.

"Xi Er, this is Ganyu!" I repeated the same movement and nodded.

"So we've met! Xi Er is the commander of a spy squad, and often goes on very dangerous missions!" he said, but I didn't listen to him because I couldn't take my eyes off the girl, just like she couldn't take her eyes off me.

"You're very beautiful!" the girl told me, ignoring the Archon.

I blushed at her words, but answered.

"You too!" at some point, Morax noticed that we were ignoring him and left, leaving the two of us.

"Do you want to grab a bite somewhere?" the girl asked me.

"Come on!" I told her.

Stop! Is this a date? No, Ganyu, stop raving, we just met, it's just a friendly lunch.

So after almost a year had passed since we met, after that dinner she asked me out on a "date" again, and eight months later we got married! Morax himself performed the ceremony, and a month later his wife died, as did the unborn child!

I felt so sorry for Morax! Guizhong was my good friend, and I was going to be the godmother of the unborn baby, but it never happened.

"What happened, dear?" my wife asked, hugging me from behind.

I put my hands on hers and leaned on her chest.

"I'm just wondering when will this war end? How many more friends and loved ones are we going to lose?" I asked, then added.

"I don't know, dear!" my wife answered.

I turned around and looked at her

"Are you leaving again?" I asked her.

"Yes!" She said, to which I sighed and pulled her in for a kiss.

"Just come back!"

"Of course, cutie!" She said, deepening the kiss.

We had very passionate sex that night, and who knew that it would be the last time I would see her and feel her warmth.

"Morax, what brought you here?" I asked Archon.

"Ganyu… Xi Er… She…" I immediately rushed to him.

"WHAT? WHERE IS Xi Er? IS SHE OKAY?" I yelled at him.

"Sorry!" He said, lowering his head.

I let him go and walked past him on autopilot.

"Ganyu!" I heard Morax's voice, but I didn't answer or pay attention.

I climbed up Mount Aotsang, where Si Er and I liked to spend all our free time.

I couldn't stand up and fell to my knees, sobbing

"WHY?" the tears were pouring out and weren't going to stop.

Through them, I looked at the island in the sky and clenched my teeth.

"I will take revenge on Si Er, on everyone who hurt you, first on the one who killed you, then…" I looked at the island.

"I will destroy Celestial and all the gods and goddesses on it, for taking you away from me!"

I felt myself being hugged from behind.

"Quiet." the girl who was hugging me said.

"Xianyun… Si Er… She…" I couldn't speak properly, as sadness flooded me.

"I know! I grieve for her too!" said the Guardian of the Clouds.

I was grateful to her for being with me then, I know that she also wanted to cry from Si Er, but for my sake she held back.

The next day we held a funeral and saw her off on her final journey.

I will never forget you Si Er, you are my wife forever, and I hope to join you in the afterlife someday.

From Morax, I learned that she fought the Archon of Storms! The day after the funeral, I got ready and went after my wife's killer. Morax wanted to stop me, but I did not listen to him.

Returning back, after some time, the war ended, leaving seven Archons in Teyvat. What we hid from Celestial was that there were eight Archons. In Inazum, there were two Archons, the twins Raiden Makoto and Raiden Ei.

When the war ended, I did not feel calm, and immersed myself in work, helping Li Yue, who had changed over the years, and only I remained in stagnation, unable to come to terms with the death of my wife.

"You want to change your life." - I heard a voice, I could not understand whether it was a woman's voice or a man's.

"Who are you and where are you?" I asked, looking around the room, but I couldn't find the owner of this voice.

I felt someone hug me and looking up I saw a beautiful woman with cat ears and a tail.

I could not hold back and began to cry harder.

"I will help you reunite with your wife?" - said the woman.

I tore myself away from her and asked

"Really? How?"

"It's very simple, we will make a contract, I will take away all your memories of this life and return the memory of the past and send you to another world!"

"Past life?" - I asked her.

"Yes, you had a past life, and after death you chewed up not having those memories, but now what would you say if I could return Si Er to you?"

"I agree!" - I shouted without thinking.

"Very good! Then I wish you good luck in the new world!" And remember, as soon as you get tired of him, I will appear and return you to your wife!" she said and I immediately felt sleepy and could not hold my eyelids, I fell asleep.
