First day at work

As the orientation continued, Lucien and Sarah couldn't help but exchange excited glances. They were both thrilled to be working together and couldn't wait to start their new roles.

Their manager, Rachel, approached them and handed out their first assignments. "Welcome, Lucien and Sarah! I'm excited to have you both on board. Your first project is to work together on a marketing campaign for one of our new clients."

Lucien and Sarah exchanged a look of excitement and nodded in unison. "We're on it!" they chimed in together.

As they dove into their first project, Lucien and Sarah quickly discovered that their skills complemented each other perfectly. Lucien's creativity paired well with Sarah's analytical mind, and they worked seamlessly together.

Their first day at Ace Nicks Company Limited was a resounding success, and Lucien and Sarah left the office feeling energized and motivated, ready to take on whatever challenges came their way.

Ken walked into Ace's office, a friendly smile on his face. "Hey, man! How's it going?"

Ace, sitting behind his desk, looked up and nodded curtly. "It's going."

Ken chuckled and took a seat in the chair opposite Ace's desk. "I've got some juicy gossip for you," he said, leaning forward. "You won't believe how well those two new girls did on their first day."

Ace raised an eyebrow, his interest piqued. "Oh? Do tell."

Ken launched into a detailed account of Lucien and Sarah's impressive first day, sharing stories of their teamwork, creativity, and dedication. Ace listened intently, his expression unreadable.

As Ken finished his story, Ace leaned back in his chair, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Impressive," he said, his voice neutral.

Ken nodded enthusiastically. "I know, right? They're going to be a great addition to the team."

Ace's gaze drifted off, his mind working overtime. He was intrigued by Lucien's story, and a part of him wondered what made her tick.

Suddenly, Ace's eyes snapped back into focus. "Ken, I want you to keep an eye on Lucien. I want to know more about her."

Ken raised an eyebrow, sensing that there was more to Ace's request than met the eye. "What's going on, Ace? You're not exactly known for taking a personal interest in new employees."

Ace's expression turned glacial, and he said, "Just do it, Ken."

Ken chuckled and leaned forward, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Oh, Ace, you're not falling for the new girl, are you?"

Ace's expression turned even colder, but Ken just laughed. "Come on, Ace, I've known you for years. You don't take an interest in anyone unless there's something in it for you. What's the story with Lucien?"

Ace's jaw clenched, and he said, "Ken, drop it."

But Ken just kept teasing. "Oh, I'm shaking with fear. Ace, the mighty and powerful, is interested in a girl and can't even admit it to himself."

Ace's eyes flashed with annoyance, but Ken just grinned and said, "I'm just keeping it real, my friend."

Ken raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Mexico to LA, huh? Lucien's got quite the story to tell, doesn't she?"

Ace's expression remained stoic, but Ken could sense a flicker of interest behind his eyes. "Just keep an eye on her, Ken. That's all I'm asking."

Ken nodded, still grinning. "Got it, boss. I'll make sure to keep tabs on the lovely Lucien."

Ace's eyes narrowed, but he didn't say anything else. Ken took that as his cue to leave, standing up and heading for the door.

As he walked out of Ace's office, Ken couldn't help but wonder what had really sparked Ace's interest in Lucien. Was it just her impressive skills and work ethic, or was there something more to it? Ken made a mental note to do some digging and find out more about Lucien's past.
