who she is

Ken's eyes scanned the screen, taking in every detail about Lucien's life. He had found out about her friendship with Jenny, the woman who had a reputation for sleeping with rich men.

Ken's mind flashed back to the incident at the Redsuit Hotel, where Gerald had confronted Jenny and Ken, pretending to be Jenny's husband. What Ken had thought was a chance encounter was actually a carefully orchestrated plan by Gerald, Ace, and himself.

Ken's eyes narrowed as he realized the extent of the deception. He wondered what Ace's true intentions were regarding Lucien. Was he genuinely interested in her, or was there something more sinister at play?

Ken's mind flashed back to the day Ace had asked him to gather information on Lucien. Ace had been specific about what he wanted: every detail about Lucien's life, no matter how small.

At the time, Ken had thought it was just Ace's usual thoroughness, but now he realized that Ace had been planning something much bigger.

Ace had instructed Ken to offer Lucien a job at the company, and to make sure she was comfortable and happy in LA. He had even specified that Ken should provide her with a good apartment and a generous salary.

But what had struck Ken as odd was Ace's insistence that Lucien leave her friends and family behind in Mexico. At the time, Ken had thought it was just Ace's way of ensuring Lucien's focus was on her new job.

Now, however, Ken wondered if there was more to it. Was Ace trying to isolate Lucien, or keep her away from someone or something?

Ken shook his head, deciding to focus on his own tasks and leave Ace's motives alone. He knew better than to underestimate Ace, who was notorious for being cunning and calculating.

As he delved back into his work, Ken couldn't help but feel a sense of respect for Ace's strategic mind. Ace always seemed to be several steps ahead, and his decisions were never impulsive.

Ken's phone buzzed, snapping him back to attention. He glanced at the screen, seeing a reminder about an upcoming meeting with Ace.

With a sense of trepidation, Ken wondered what Ace had planned next. But he pushed the thought aside, focusing on his own tasks and trusting that Ace knew what he was doing.

Lucien's pov

As I walked through the office, I couldn't help but overhear the whispers about our CEO, Ace. The women around me seemed to be swooning over him, talking about his good looks and wealth.

I exchanged a knowing glance with my friend Sarah, and we both giggled. It was hard not to get caught up in the excitement, but I tried to stay focused on my work.

Still, I couldn't help but wonder what Ace was like in person. Was he really as cold and ruthless as everyone said? Or was there more to him than met the eye?

I pushed the thoughts aside and continued on to my desk, trying to shake off the feeling that I was being watched.

I sat at my desk, typing away on my computer as I listened to the whispers around me. The CEO, Ace, was a mystery to everyone in the company. I had heard that he only visited the office occasionally, and no one ever knew when he would show up.

It was as if he had a sixth sense, appearing and disappearing without warning. Some people said he was always watching, even when you didn't think he was. Others claimed he was a ghost, a mythical figure who only existed in rumors and legends.

I didn't know what to believe, but one thing was certain: whenever Ace visited, the office was electric with tension. People scurried around, trying to make a good impression, and the air was thick with anticipation.

I wondered what it would be like to meet him, to see if the rumors were true. Would he be as intimidating as everyone said? Or would he be kind and understanding?

I pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on my work instead. But the whispers continued, a steady hum in the background, reminding me that Ace was always lurking, just out of sight.
