[Junia]
It's been 3 days since Arc's brother came to the facility. He is not the type to cause problems, he just stays in his designated room or near the portal. His whole trolling personality also changed, rarely talking, daydreaming, his face lacking any kinds of facial expressions. He gives an eerie vibe, different from his family.
Due to him staying beside a portal for a long time, it activated quite a time, luckily though the creatures who came from it were quite feeble, mortals with instinctual level control of the cosmic energy.
Surprisingly, he stopped anyone from interfering in his fights, even more surprisingly he has 'trained level' control of the cosmic energy.
The sub levels at each hypothetical power level that we have made.....
Instinctual level (raw strength)
Trained level (skilled user)
Mastered level (True control)
Absolute control level (omniscient control)
He is still at mortal level but the additional sub level increase really makes a difference.
Another eerie thing about him was he didn't show any kinds of emotions killing those creatures. Mind you even if you're killing a bug, a sense of disgust is typical.
He is either way too focused or that's his usual personality or just a psychopath. I believe he is a psychopath.
I dismiss the wandering thoughts within my mind. Cheerily I greet him.
"Hello Azrael, you should take a break otherwise your brother will get angry"
He was sitting cross legged in front of the spatial portal. His eyes twitched, he got up and started going to the cafeteria.
"What's with his attitude? Mannerless bastard."
I was furious but didn't really take it to heart. Later on, I went to do some paper works, continue my research of the spatial portals.
While walking through the hallways, I re-encountered that bastard Azrael. He was again sitting still cross legged in front of the portal.
I was going to ignore him yet I stopped, there was a faint fluctuation of energy coming from the portal. Soon that fluctuation increased and a strangely humanoid creature emerged from it.
The creature was tall..No, a giant Its entire body was covered with strange metal similar to silicon. The dissimilarity was that the strange metal was rippling like water. It lacked any sort of facial features, just a mannequin with rippling silicone all over its body.
The energy coming from it made one thing sure that 'thing' was not a mortal.
The hypothetical power level introduced....
Mortals Rank (Enhanced physical prowess, control over the energy)
Planetoid Rank (Asteroid and Small dwarf planets level)
Planetary Rank (Global scale power)
Star Rank (System wide power)
Galactic Rank (Dominion over galaxies)
Universal Rank (Masters of reality)
The strongest ability user Arceid is still on Planetary Rank with Mastered Level control.
The energy that creature dispersed was of Planetoid Rank a rank above Azrael, his life is in danger.
As much as I hated that mannerless kid, it's too much to let him die.
I condensed the cosmic energy, space started glistening with an azure glow yet before I attacked, Azrael looked straight in my direction gesturing as to not intervene.
He is still immature, he probably doesn't sense the severity of the situation. Thinking so I Ignored him, and made my move attacking the creature.
The space between the creature's limbs cracked, tearing its body from the shoulders, elbows and knees.
The once gigantic creature was torn just like that.
"I'm the best!!!"
Seemingly the guy whose life I just saved was not impressed, instead of being thankful that bastard was glaring at me.
He walked towards me, looking in my eyes and said, "Next time don't try to save me, I knew that abomination was of Planetoid Rank. For me to grow I need these levels of battles."
I was seriously annoyed, "I get that you have some fighting experience but this isn't your street battle, the sheer chasm of difference a rank makes isn't that easy to cross. YOU WOULD DIE BEFORE GETTING A CHANCE TO LAND A HIT!!"
He glared at me more ferociously, his already cold eyes lost any semblance of glint within them.
"Yeah!!! So what, I would just die at the end, nothing more."
"Oh, then what about your family, you don't care about them."
"Can you stop with the fake care? I have been holding myself for quite a while now, and I would seriously puke."
My pupils dilated as if I heard the most bizarre thing possible, "How exactly am I faking it? Care to explain."
Towering above me he said in a monotonous tone, "You want me to explain, Fine, then I will, first of all your smile, it irks me it's so fake, faker than the media. Whenever you talk with someone your mind wanders around. You show a face as if you care about the person's problem. I don't know why, but I'm sure you're trying to get everyone present here to be reliant on you. Just like you did with my brother."
The last sentence was especially cold. I didn't know that I was doing that subconsciously, he isn't wrong. I don't like to work here or anywhere, I'm forced to be here. I don't care about the goddamn world, let it burn.
"I know that you are trying so hard to blend with people, to make this caring perception and I don't give jack shit about it. I have one request for you, don't keep that fake smile around me and stay away from my family."
If he really wants it, then so be it. I don't like playing around too, I will just use him as an emotion dumpster then.
I remove the plastered smile from my face, look up to him grinning ear to ear.
