"I'll never stop thanking you Matthew and Evelyn for being my total support in the darkest hour of my life. I believe there will never be a time that I will experience such thick darkness as I did six years ago. Thanks so much Gina for the late night snacks you gave me whenever you're back from work.
The doctor who attended to me took it upon himself to check on me later. I told him everything that happened and he decided to seek the help of his guidance. They're based in Midwest country. They agreed and promised to look after me and the pregnancy. So I got a Visa and travelled out without letting you know. It was bad of me doing so and I'm so sorry.
They welcomed me and I even started a job there. I had a lot of savings and sometimes the doctor friend came around and spent two weeks with me.
They looked after me until I gave birth to my baby. His mother took over as the nanny and babysitted the boy while I worked to save money for my return.
So after five years I decided it was time for me to come back home. I told my friend Luther I was planning to return and he said he would help me secure a job.
Over the weekend he called me and told me I have been offered an appointment as an executive designer in the Scout's group and boom here I am." Clementine explained briefly.
" You're a strong lady Clementine and I'm so proud of you" Matthew chimed.
But I know that your return will be the beginning of a new life for you. You and your Son will surely live your life to the fullest.
We'd like to meet your friend Doctor Luther. Some good people can't help but bring their kindness into their job and such people need to be appreciated," He added.
He's happy that Clementine made the right decision of birthing her child. Some girls would have aborted it. She's going to be a great mother and her kid would be the most important thing that has ever happened to her.
Clementine assured them to pass their appreciation to Luther and promised to invite him over. She told them she would be buying a house tomorrow.
She is leaving tomorrow with her son and will start her new job in three days. Evelyn said she will accompany her to see the new house.
Clementine Watson had spent a day at home, fully dedicating her time to her child. On this day, Clementine remembered her forgotten handbag at Luther's house. She called Luther and headed out to meet him.
The bag contained important documents for Clementine, and she needed to retrieve it. Luther told him to come over to his office.
"I've kept your bag safe for you. You can come pick it up anytime at my workplace. However, I heard that some important guests are coming to the hospital today for a check up, Luther said.
"You're so beautiful; just in case, if you really come by today, make sure to tone down your makeup a bit to avoid unnecessary attention." He added.
Clementine smiled assuring him to adhere to the reminder.
At first Clementine didn't want to go with Jesse but after a long consideration she decided to go with him. However, just as they were about to exit the hospital, Clementine spotted the man she spilled drink on standing not far ahead of them staring at them seriously.
What a coincidence to run into him here!
The man looked at the little fellow then whisper something to his assistant.
As the man walked towards them, Clementine realized he was quite tall. He wore a black trench coat that exposed slightly his muscular taut, broad shoulders and long and sturdy legs. Though his features were almost identical to that of her son Jesse, the man's demeanor was strikingly cold. His deep dark eyes made it impossible to discern what he was thinking.
While Jesse had a cute and friendly appearance, this man was strikingly handsome, with an aura so intimidating that could made people resist him.
"Mommy is that the guy from the other day? he looks a lot as me." Jesse said audibly making the man stopped in his track.
"And mommy why is he looking at us? why is he approaching us? he asked numerously.
Jesse tugged at Clementine's hand pointing at the man from the other day. Clementine's heart skipped a beat, and she panicked.
"Jesse this time listen to Mommy. We need to turn around and run!" with that Clementine grabbed Jesse's hand and turned to flee. But after just a few steps, Clementine collided with another man. The man fastly cut some straps of Jesse's hair unbeknown to them.
"Sorry..."
She instinctively apologized.
Looking up, she found herself face-to-face with a smiling man who helped carried her bag up.
"Huh! you jumbled my hands, I won't accept a mere apology.
The man teased, his hand reaching out to Jesse, I need to go with this little fellow," he added.
Clementine felt a surge of panic. She grabbed Jesse and rushed out of the vicinity and until then she breathed a sigh of relief.
That night the thought of the strange man having same features with her son lingered on her mind. What if he's Jesse's father? Will he come for him? or probably take over her son? No way, she can't let that happen. She has to protect Jesse at all cost.
It took a while before Clementine could sleep. She was ruminating over her life six years ago.
David and Vaniel must be living happily now. Her sister felt it was convenient to take her man away without the blink of an eye. And her friend thought it was the best thing to do, helping them out.
Vaniel must had really poisoned Sarah's mind against her. The friend she knew and grew up with loves her despite not being family. No one would believe they were not from the same mother.
Her mother had always treated them like twins. Whatever she bought for Clementine, Sarah is getting the same thing. If she can't get two, she wouldn't buy it rather than not giving it to one person. That way, they both grew up, seeking the same thing for each other. But her everything took different dimension when her father came back home one day with another lady and a daughter claiming to be his family and Clementine's mother disappearance.
Martina poisoned Sarah's mind over Clementine and she took Vaniel's side. She warned her daughter not to mingle with Clementine.
Karma would catch up with Marietta for what she has done to her, her sister and her friend.
She would surely regret it someday.
While Clementine was thinking that Vaniel and David are happy together, something else was troubling them.
