David was unhappy. They've been married for over six years and he has not stopped giving her his body just to see her pregnant. But he can no longer continue and he needs to rest a while.
"Why have you been ignoring me? We need to be more intimate at this period when we need a child the most," Vaniel pouted.
This shouldn't be the time David will be relaxed and stayed away from her especially now that she needed him more.
"I want to sleep, don't disturb me" David muttered out coldly.
If she pester him he would leave the room to the guestroom and never return that night. What's the use of wasting his energy and manpower on a woman who can't conceived.
Vaniel said nothing again. She turned her back to him as well and left him alone. She had been trying to track her ovulation so that she and David could make love, who knows, if she might be lucky and conceive naturally.
She had tried IVF thrice and they failed. David changed completely after the failure of the last attempt. She would have to call his mother's attention to it. She needs to know what irresponsible son had turned into. He is not willing to give her a grandchild.
Next morning, David was a bit cheerful, he had his breakfast with Vaniel and pecked her on the cheek before leaving for work. He seems to be different from the cold one yesterday. She has never heard that a man runs away from duties with his wife especially when they want to make babies except David.
She had made up her mind to report David to his mother then take the matter to her own mother if he doesn't change. Her mother had been worriedly sick about their inability to bear children for six years. When the last IVF failed, she was sick and nearly committed suicide.
Vaniel dressed up, took her car keys and drove to her mother in-law's place and was glad to meet her at home. Mrs Clinton welcomed her and asked her how she and her husband is doing. Vaniel said he was doing fine except that David decided not to have sex with her anymore. David is still pained for the failed IVF.
Mrs Clinton knew her son well not to keep mistresses so how come he's not willing to get intimate with Vaniel? She squinted and asked what happened. She's looking forward to carrying her grandchild but how is that going to be possible if he doesn't get intimate with her?
She assured Vaniel that she would have a word with her son that she shouldn't worry. Vaniel smiled. As expected of her mother in law. She knows how to touch David in the place where he couldn't resist her instructions. She thanked her and went home. She can't wait for her husband to return home and meet her waiting longingly for him. She hoped this would work this time.
As soon as Vaniel left, Mrs Clinton called her son and asked that they have dinner together that afternoon. She would be waiting for him at a certain restaurant whose address she would be sending to him.
In a cozy restaurant, sat Clementine, her son, Matthew with his wife Evelyn, his sister Gina. and Luther. Clementine appreciated him one more time for the apartment he recommended. She really likes it.
"I will like you to meet my friends, the ones I told you about. You've met Matthew before right? Matthew, his wife Evelyn and his sister Gina." Clementine introduced and she did the same for Luther. He shook hands with them and admired Gina at first sight. Clementine smiled noticing the two.
Luther and his friends were in that restaurant when Mrs Clinton arrived. She didn't see Clementine initially but after hearing a few people's conversation nearby, she turned her head and looked at them. She was shocked when she saw that the cheerful one among the six was Clementine. Where has she been all these years?
After learning that she was set up and that her son was the mastermind of the conspiracy, she hadn't seen her since then. She became really uncomfortable seeing the excited Ms. Watson.
Guilt was really eating her up and she wanted to leave but just then her son arrived and took his seat opposite hers. She gently tapped her son to look in Clementine's direction where she was seated with his friends.
David's eyes followed the direction where his mother was asking him to look.
