Episode 8: New Home

Summary:
LG Probe explains the situation further. Ren listens to him keenly while Kepler silently listens. He tells them that they will stay at one of the penthouses in the Robin Tower close to the building.
He advises them to use a code name to which Ren excitedly tells him that his code name is "Renger". Kepler struggles to find a code name for himself but Ren suggests he go by the name "Falling Star". Kepler likes the "Star" but doesn't like the "Falling" part of it however, he thinks that the moniker Star by itself feels empty so ultimately he decides to just go with Falling Star.
"Hooray," Mr. Onzai whispers as he quietly claps for them.
"Why is it so cold here in Ottawa, I wish I could also generate heat like Kepler," Ren complains.
"While I can generate heat, I can't really push it far outside of my body or shoot fireballs or whatever," Kepler says.
"Still it is a very useful skill to have," LG Probe says.
"Listen here Renger, from one air ranger to another I want you to learn how to move the air particles around so fast you can generate hot winds," LG Probe adds.
"That's possible?", Ren curiously asks.
"That's how air rangers like me in Canada enjoy a warm temperature," LG Probe explains.
"Hey, Mr. Onzai, do you have any heat-related powers as well?", Ren questions.
"Well, I can teleport his hot comfy air to me," Mr. Onzai points at LG Probe.
"Please don't," LG Probe begs.
"But I wouldn't because I LOVE the cold," Mr. Onzai says.
"Kepler," LG Probe drags the attention to him.
"Why?", Kepler asks.
"You are fifteen years old right?", LG Probe says.
"Yes, do you think I'm lying about my age or something?", Kepler replies.
"What? No," LG Probe laughs.
"It's just, I think I have a good theory on why you don't have an emblem," LG Probe says.
"I think I know what you are going to say," Mr. Onzai arranges his hair.
"There is a unique type of ranger whose emblem only shows up when they turn sixteen - the Origin Rangers," LG Probe explains.
"Origin Rangers?", Kepler asks.
"You mean the same ranger as Val U and Fifty Fifty?! Whoa, I didn't know their emblems show up late," Ren blurts out.
"The Origin Rangers are the rarest and possibly the strongest rangers in the world. The only problem with this theory is that your ability doesn't match up with the rest of the Origin Rangers," LG Probe explains.
"I thought of the same thing too," Mr. Onzai utters.
"Me? An origin ranger?", Kepler says.
"That's so cool if you are one I heard all of them are four to six-star rangers!", Ren hypes his friend.
"That is correct, but I guess we'll find out in a couple of months when you turn sixteen," LG Probe says.
Lieutenant General Probe hands them a radio bud each and another extra to communicate with them anywhere around the globe. The two rangers wear the buds. When they're done, the lieutenant general orders Mr. Onzai to transport them to their penthouse in the Robin Tower.

LG Probe opens the door and gives each of them a copy of the key. He shows them the entire fully furnished unit of the three-bedroom and three-bath penthouse located on the 51st floor of the Robin's Tower. Mr. Onzai whispers that he's jealous and tells them that he lives right below this floor and to not visit him. Ren and Kepler tell him that from now on they will peek at the window of his unit whenever they can. Before LG Probe and Mr. Onzai leave, the lieutenant general tells them about the third member.
"The third or technically, the first member of The Sky Rangers Project is a 2-Star fire ranger he is the same age as you guys and his name is Raul also known as Igneous," LG Probe says.
"Whoa, a fifteen-year-old 2-Star ranger?!", Ren exclaims.
"And we are a pair of a starless air ranger and an unmarked ranger," Kepler sighs.
"We are still a cool duo though," Ren hypes themselves up.
"He currently lives in New York City and will probably never live here, he also hates the cold," LG Probe adds.
"But make sure to welcome him when you see him, he's a little arrogant but he's very reliable," LG Probe states.
"VERY," Mr. Onzai agrees.
"Very arrogant or reliable?", Ren asks.
"Yes," Mr. Onzai responds.
"Also, before we leave, I just would like to say that you can also access the rooftop deck which is literally just above your penthouse anyway. That's all, have a nice stay here," LG Probe smiles, and the two teleport back to the office.
Ren and Kepler check out the balcony, the bedrooms, and the bathrooms. They open the closets and see a plethora of clothes for them. They jump on the beds and notice smartphones on the nightstand. Ren grabs a phone and is glad to finally replace his old one and Kepler is excited to finally own one. The two decide to pick their rooms. After logging in to their phones, the two decide to check out the rooftop area by leaving through the window.
December 1, 2023 | 4:21 PM | Rooftop Deck | Robin Tower | Ottawa, Canada
The two watch the view of the sunset in the city. Ren connects his phone to the wifi of the building and tells his friends that he will be gone for several days. He scrolls through his Pecker account and reads some news updates in Taiwan. Kepler familiarizes himself with the city and quietly watches people. He ponders his thoughts and realizes that despite being in a completely different country on a mission to investigate a possible worldly threat that puts him in grave danger, this is the safest he has ever been in his entire life.
As the two have their separate moments, Mr. Onzai quietly teleports to the rooftop with them. He hands them over a piece of technology called a "SAS Watch".
"Sorry to disturb your moment, but I'm just here to deliver your SAS Watches. And don't ask me what SAS means because I don't know either," Mr. Onzai says.
"Cool, what does it do," Ren asks as he puts it on his wrist.
"I don't know either, again I was just tasked with delivering this to you," Mr. Onzai responds.
"Is this similar to a piece of technology called television?", Kepler nervously asks.
"No," Mr. Onzai instantly asks.
"Also before I leave again, I just want to announce that the lieutenant general found a UFO near Mississauga-", Mr. Onzai gets interrupted by an alert to their SAS Watches.
"Uh, there you go," Mr. Onzai points at the watches.
A hologram of LG Probe appears on the watches, he states that the UFO is flying near Mississauga and is flying to Toronto, he tells them to go meet them in Toronto.
"Told you," Mr. Onzai whispers.
The lieutenant general warns them to be careful since nobody knows whether there are humans or extraterrestrials inside the mysterious aircraft. He ends the call by telling them that he will remain in contact with them using the radio buds and by reminding them that this is a secret mission so try to avoid making a scene. Before the two rangers leave, Mr. Onzai snaps his fingers and instantly changes their clothes to an outfit that makes them blend in with the people more. An eye appears in a cloud and the two assemble for their first official mission and rocket away to Toronto.
