"No way…" he whispered. "This… this can't be real."
But the crown on his head, the forest around him, and the four women standing before him all told a different story. He wasn't in his apartment anymore. He wasn't on Earth.
Beneath an ancient tree, surrounded by an endless numbers of vibrant flowers, stood the magnificent palace of the Elf King. The structure blended seamlessly with nature, its elegant curves and intricate carvings reflecting the beauty of the elves who called this land home.
At the very centre of the palace, four stunning elven women stood before the throne, their expressions filled with urgency.
"Your Majesty, Renjiro, you must make a decision now! The army is approaching us, and we no longer have enough warriors to hold them back!"
The voice came from a tall and graceful elf, her emerald-green eyes burning with worry. She was Elaria, one of the elders of the elven race.
Another elf, dressed in a dark green cloak with a quiver of arrows slung across her back, stepped forward. Her blonde hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her sharp gaze reflected the years of battle experience she carried.
"Your Majesty, Rejiro, we must retreat immediately!" Selena, the leader of the Elven Archers, urged, her tone filled with urgency.
Beside her, a woman clad in a flowing robe embroidered with mystical runes tightened her grip on her staff. A soft glow of magical energy flickered in her silver-blue eyes as she spoke.
"The Dark Night Forest has never been a place for us elves, Your Majesty. This land rejects us. The true sanctuary of our people lies far beyond!"
Lorien, the leader of the Elven Mages, spoke with conviction, her voice as gentle as a whispering wind yet firm as the roots of an ancient tree.
The final member of the group, a swordswoman with deep crimson hair and sharp golden eyes, frowned as she looked at the silent king. Her hand rested on the hilt of her sword, her battle-hardened instincts warning her that time was running out.
"Your Majesty, what are you thinking?" Lirael, the leader of the Elven Swordmasters, asked, her patience wearing thin.
Sitting on the only throne in the grand hall, Renjiro exhaled slowly, his fingers lightly brushing against the delicate yet majestic elven crown atop his head.
"I just… want some peace and quiet." His words sent a ripple of confusion through the four elves. Their expressions shifted from urgency to shock, as if they had misheard him.
Yet, Renjiro himself was even more bewildered than they were.
Just moments ago, he had been at home playing his favorite game. But now, with just the blink of an eye, he had been transported to this unfamiliar world and that too as an Elf King and if that wasn't enough it was at the time where Elves are in the middle of war.
'Elves? Elf King? Is this some kind of elaborate setup for a Medieval Game sequel?'
Before he could process what was happening, a flood of memories began to appear into his mind. The sudden influx of information sent a sharp pain through his brain, causing his expression to tighten in discomfort which was clearly shown on his face.
Fortunately, the overwhelming painful sensation passed quickly. Taking a deep breath, Renjiro muttered under his breath, "So… I've actually transmigrated."
This was no longer Earth. This was an entirely different world, a place known as the Holy Continent.
And his identity? He was Mikazuki Renjiro, the Elf King. The four elven women standing before him were:
-Elaria, the Elven Elder
-Selena, the leader of the Archers
-Lorien, the leader of the Mages
-Lirael, the leader of the Swordmasters
As Renjiro absorbed this new knowledge and memories, Elaria took a step closer, her voice filled with deep concern.
"Your Majesty, are you feeling alright?"
Renjiro waved a hand dismissively, his expression regaining composure.
"I'm fine." There was no use denying the truth, he had transmigrated, and there was no going back. More importantly, he needed to deal with the immediate crisis, the invasion.
He turned his gaze toward Elaria.
"Elaria, what's the current situation?"
The elven elder hesitated for a moment before responding, sadness evident in her voice.
"Your Majesty… we have already fought three battles against the invasion. Our people have suffered heavy losses. The enemy numbers are overwhelming, and with our current strength, it will be difficult to hold them off much longer. We must retreat while we still can!"
Renjiro frowned slightly. 'Retreat?'
Just as he was about to speak, a mechanical voice suddenly echoed in his mind.

As Renjiro read through the system's messages, his lips curled into a small smile.
"A system… the only things that was missing after getting memories!"
As soon as Renjiro saw the system's Newbie Quest, he didn't hesitate for a second. His gaze sharpened, and he immediately spoke to Elaria with a serious look.
"Retreating is not an option! As noble elves, we will never fall to those greedy and disgusting fools creatures! We will defeat them and avenge our fallen kin!"
The four elven women standing before him froze for a moment, their eyes widening in shock.
"Your Majesty??" The commanding presence of their Elf King, radiating absolute confidence and unshakable will, sent a wave of admiration through them.
Lirael, the leader of the Elven Swordmasters, was the first to react. She dropped to one knee, gripping the hilt of her elegant elven sword, her golden eyes burning with fervor.
"O' great Elf King, I, Lirael, shall follow your order! With my sword, I will cut down those wretched creatures that dare invade our land and bring honor to our people!"
Her voice was filled with loyalty like speech, her entire being surging with battle spirit.
Selena and Lorien, the leader of the Archers and Mages, exchanged glances before turning their gazes back to Renjiro. Their eyes, once filled with some concerns, now carried pure admiration and loyalty.
