Help From The Goddess

Selena and Lorien, the leader of the Archers and Mages, exchanged glances before turning their gazes back to Renjiro. Their eyes, once filled with some concerns, now carried pure admiration and loyalty.

Elaria took a deep breath, stepping forward once more. Her voice was soft, yet firm.

"Your Majesty, have you truly made up your mind?" Renjiro didn't waver. He looked her straight in the eyes.

"Elaria, I need your support!" A gentle smile spread across Elaria's lips, her emerald eyes shining with deep devotion.

"Your Majesty, as your fiancée, I will always stand by your side, no matter what decision you make."

Renjiro found himself momentarily distracted as he gazed at Elaria's breathtaking features.

The four women standing before him were all astonishingly beautiful as you can expect from Elven features, but Elaria was in a league of her own.

Clad in a flowing white gown, she exuded an ethereal grace. A delicate flower crown rested upon her silver-blonde hair, enhancing her already divine beauty. In her hands, she held a staff of pure white wood, embedded with a glowing crystal that radiated gentle magical energy.

A true elven queen in both beauty and presence.

Pulling himself back to the situation at hand, Renjiro asked, "How many warriors do we have left?"

Elaria's expression turned serious as she answered, "Excluding those too injured to fight, we currently have: 85 archers, 40 mages, and 23 swordmasters."

Renjiro's brow twitched.

"That's it?" Renuiro asked the numbers were just… too less for it to be called an army.

"Yes, Your Majesty."

He exhaled slowly before asking his next question, "And the size of the invasion army?"

Elaria hesitated briefly before responding.

"Approximately five thousand."

"…" A heavy silence filled the throne room. We are fucked… and if I have to say it in my status now… we were royally fucked.

Renjiro closed his eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath. When he opened them again, his gaze was sharp and filled with something stupid idea.

"Send word to all our warriors… I, Mikazuki Renjiro, their king, shall lead them into battle!"

"Your Majesty?!" Elaria, Lirael, Selena, and Lorien all gasped in unison. Their expressions were a mix of shock and awe.

A king, personally stepping onto the battlefield was almost unheard of. Yet Renjiro was unfazed. In fact, a faint smile crept onto his lips.

Because at that moment, the system's voice echoed in his mind once more.

He was counting on this, and just as he expected it did prove useful. After all, how could a system let their host die so early.

[Ding!]

[As the future ruler of the Elves, the host has proven his courage in the face of unimaginable differences in forces!]

[Due to the host's commendable bravery, a special reward has been granted: Newbie Gift Pack!]

[Would you like to open the Newbie Gift Pack?]

Without hesitation, Renjiro responded in his mind.

"Open it!"

[Opening Newbie Gift Pack…]

[Congratulations! You have received: 500 Tier-4 Archers! 300 Tier-5 Huntresses!]

[Ding! Critical Luck Activation…]

[Special Bonus Unlocked: 10 Tier-9 Giant Golems!]

Renjiro's eyes widened slightly. '500 archers? 300 huntresses?And 10 Giants Golems?!'

"Your Majesty, you must not step onto the battlefield! Eeven though you have inherited the King Title, you have yet to unlock its true power. You cannot take such a risk!"

"Your Majesty, please rethink your decision?"

Inside the grand hall, the atmosphere was tense.

Elaria, along with the three beautiful leaders of army, stood with expressions full of worry and urgency.

To the elves, the Elf King was more than just a ruler, he was their faith, their legacy. If anything happened to him, their people would be left without guidance or hope.

Yet, Renjiro was thrilled.

'500 elite archers, 300 skilled huntresses… and with our existing forces, that brings our army close to 1,000! And let's not forget—10 Tier-9 Giants Golems!' A confident smile stretched across his lips.

'This battle… is as good as won!'

"Your Majesty!" Elaria's radiant face was a mixture of confusion and worry. The man standing before her had changed.

Once, Renjiro was known as a timid and hesitant royal elf, unfit for the throne. But now, he stood as a true King, filled with determination and courage.

She was proud of him.

But she was also terrified.

The war against the invasion army was no mere skirmish, it was a battle for survival. She would rather lay down her own life than see him walk into danger… Elves last hope

"Elaria." Renjiro descended from his throne.

Under the watchful gazes of the three leaders beside her, he reached out and gently took Elaria's hands in his own.

A moment of silence fell over the hall.

One was the King of the elves, wearing the sacred Crown. The other was the most beautiful and gifted elven girl, revered among her kin.

Standing together, hand in hand, they were a picture of elegance and a perfect match like those on dating apps, the only difference they didn't swiped here but nonetheless got a perfect match.

Renjiro's lips curled into a reassuring smile.

"There's no need to worry." His voice was calm, yet filled with conviction. "Just now, I received a divine revelation from the Goddess!"

Elaria's emerald eyes widened in shock, "T-the Goddess…?"

"Yes." Renjiro nodded, his tone unwavering. "She has not abandoned us. She will protect our people and has promised to send us a powerful army to aid us in destroying the invasion army!"

A stunned silence filled the hall. Elaria's soft lips parted in astonishment.

"Your Majesty… is this true?" Renjiro tightened his grip around her delicate hands.

"Of course it's true." He chuckled lightly. "Right now, we must make haste to the Goddess's altar and prepare to receive the divine reinforcements!" The three elven commanders gasped.

"This is incredible!"

"The Goddess has not forsaken us!"

"O' great King, you must be the Goddess's chosen one! Under her divine blessing, you will surely restore our people's former glory!" A surge of joy and hope washed over the four elven women.

For the past year, ever since disaster had struck their land, a heavy cloud of despair had loomed over their people.

But now, for the first time in a long while, they could see the light once more.

All because of their King, Renjiro—the one chosen by their Goddess herself.
