THE SURGERY

Liam's POV:

As we waited for the surgery to finish, I couldn't help but steal glances at Cherry. She was sitting beside me, her hands clasped tightly together in her lap. Her eyes were fixed on the floor, her brow furrowed in worry.

I felt a pang of sympathy for her. She was going through a tough time, and I admired her strength and resilience. I reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"Hey, everything will be okay," I said softly.

Cherry looked up at me, her eyes searching mine. For a moment, we just stared at each other, the tension between us palpable. Then, she nodded, a small smile on her lips.

"Thanks, Liam," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

I smiled back at her, feeling a sense of connection that I couldn't ignore. Maybe this marriage wouldn't be so bad after all.

Just then, the doctor came out to update us on the surgery. Cherry's eyes lit up with hope as he told us that everything had gone smoothly, and her brother was recovering well.

I watched as Cherry's face relaxed, a look of relief washing over her. I felt a sense of happiness for her, and I knew that I would do everything in my power to support her and her family.

As we left the hospital, I realized that I had a lot to learn about Cherry and her life. But I was willing to take the time to get to know her, to understand what made her tick.

And as we drove back to our new home together, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement for what the future held.

As we drove back to our new home, the tension between us was palpable. I couldn't help but steal glances at Cherry, who was staring out the window, her eyes lost in thought.

I wondered what she was thinking, whether she was regretting this arrangement already. I knew I had to make an effort to connect with her, to make this marriage work.

"Hey, Cherry?" I said softly, trying to break the silence.

She turned to me, her eyes questioning. "Yeah?"

"I was thinking, maybe we could grab some dinner tonight? Get to know each other a bit better?"

Cherry's expression softened, and she nodded. "That sounds nice."

I smiled, feeling a sense of relief. Maybe this marriage wouldn't be so bad after all.

As we pulled up to our new home, a luxurious mansion on the outskirts of the city, Cherry's eyes widened in awe.

"Wow, this is... incredible," she breathed.

I smiled, feeling a sense of pride. "I'm glad you like it."

As we stepped inside, Cherry couldn't help but explore, her eyes scanning the opulent decor. I watched her, feeling a sense of amusement.

"Make yourself at home," I said, smiling.

Cherry turned to me, her eyes sparkling. "Thanks."

And for a moment, I felt like maybe, just maybe, this marriage could work out after all.

As the night wore on, we sat down to a delicious dinner, courtesy of my personal chef. Cherry was hesitant at first, but as we started talking, I was surprised to find how easy it was to converse with her.

We talked about everything from our childhoods to our interests and passions. I was fascinated by her stories of growing up with her brother and Ma' am rossy

As the evening drew to a close, I walked Cherry to her room, feeling a sense of awkwardness. This was, after all, our wedding night.

"Thanks for dinner, Liam," Cherry said, smiling up at me.

"No problem," I replied, feeling a sense of hesitation. "I'll see you tomorrow."

Cherry nodded, and I turned to leave. But as I reached the door, I heard her call out to me.

"Liam?"

I turned back to her. "Yeah?"

"Thanks for taking care of my brother's surgery," she said, her eyes shining with gratitude.

I smiled, feeling a sense of warmth. "No problem, Cherry. That's what husbands are for."

And with that, I left her room, feeling a sense of hope for our future together.
