Cherry's eyes widened in horror as she read the message on the wall. "The baby is mine?" she repeated, her voice shaking. "What does it mean?"
Liam's face was grim. "I don't know," he said. "But I'm going to find out. This is getting more and more sinister by the minute."
Cherry felt a chill run down her spine. She had been feeling uneasy for weeks, but she had never imagined that someone could be stalking her, watching her, and threatening her unborn baby.
She turned to Liam, feeling a sense of desperation. "What are we going to do?" she asked. "We can't just sit here and wait for this person to strike again."
Liam's eyes locked onto hers. "Don't worry," he said. "I'll take care of this. I'll find out who's behind this and I'll make sure they pay."
Cherry nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She knew that Liam would do everything in his power to protect her and their baby.
But as she looked around the room, she couldn't shake off the feeling that they were in grave danger. The message on the wall seemed to be mocking her, taunting her with its sinister implications.
And then, suddenly, Cherry heard a noise. It was a faint rustling sound, coming from the shadows. She spun around, her heart racing, and that's when she saw it. A figure, lurking in the darkness, watching her.
Cherry's eyes widened in shock and fear as she stared at her ex-boyfriend, Mike. She couldn't believe that he was standing in front of her, his eyes fixed on her with a menacing glare.
Liam's grip on her tightened, and he stepped forward, his eyes blazing with anger. "What are you doing here, Mike?" he growled.
Mike sneered at Liam, but his eyes never left Cherry's face. "I've been watching her," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "I've been waiting for the perfect moment to strike."
Cherry felt a chill run down her spine as she realized the true extent of Mike's obsession. She had thought that she had escaped him, but now she realized that he had been watching her all along.
Liam took a step forward, his fists clenched. "You're not going to hurt her," he snarled. "Not while I'm around."
Mike laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "You think you can protect her?" he sneered. "I've been planning this for months. I've been waiting for the perfect moment to take what's mine."
Cherry felt a surge of fear as she realized that Mike was more unhinged than she had ever seen him before. She knew that she had to get away from him, but she was frozen in place, unable to move.
As the police officers arrived at the scene, they quickly subdued Mike and took him into custody. Liam, still holding Cherry protectively, watched as Mike was led away in handcuffs.
The officers then turned their attention to Cherry, asking her if she was okay and if she needed any medical attention. Cherry, still shaken but grateful to be safe, nodded and thanked them.
As the scene began to calm down, Liam turned to Cherry and wrapped his arms around her. "I'm so sorry that happened," he said, holding her close. "I'll never let anyone hurt you again."
Cherry smiled weakly, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. "Thank you, Liam," she said. "I don't know what I would have done without you."
As they hugged, the police officers began to process the scene, taking photos and collecting evidence. Mike, meanwhile, was taken away, his eyes fixed on Cherry with a menacing glare.
But Cherry didn't notice. She was too busy feeling safe and protected in Liam's arms. She knew that she was lucky to have him, and she was grateful for his love and support.
