We'll be dividing you all into six groups cause obviously it'll be impossible to take all of you around at the same time. Six groups for boys and six groups for girls making twelve which would then be merged as six, are we clear?" Mr. Olu said. And they all answered yes.
" Head boy if your boys were to be divided by six how many boys would be in each group!" Mr. Olu suddenly asked and Adam felt his heart beat quicken. Math was not his strong forte. But by some miracle he answered,
" since there are 140 boys, dividing them by six, would have.....23 boys in four groups and 24 boys in the remaining two." He was unsure.
" Excellent, Mr. Adam. Miss. Abdulazeez, let's hear yours." Mr. Olu said and Adam sighed inwardly, he was correct.
It didn't take Hauwa 10 seconds to answer as she was a math guru.
" If 120 girls were divided by six, they'll be 20 girls in each group, sir." She said with her
silk- like voice.
" Fantastic. The rest of you should join them in organizing everyone. In the next 20 minutes.. come on,move it." Mr. Olu said and they all went back to their rooms.
They were separated into groups A,B,C,D,E,F. And be it coincidentally or deliberately, Olamide, Adam and James were in group C. David chu, Khalifa Olatunji, Hauwa Abdulazeez among others were also in group C.
A time table was drawn out for each group and sent to the students.
After having their breakfast, they got in a bus which was hired and were about to leave.
" How did this happen?" Mrs. God's love's high pitched voice was heard. She was their chaperone for the day.
" Oh god...how did this happen?.." James groaned quietly and his friends chuckled. Mrs. God's love was one of the nosey teachers most students disliked.
" How did the head boy and head girl end up in the same group?!" She said heading to their seat, struggling with her bulky physique.
" Oh crap, Hauwa I love you and all but you're the one who would change groups, I mean we're finally together...I don't want to get separated from them again...if Adam leaves we won't be a trio..." James whined quietly causing Adam and Olamide to give him a displeased look.
" Oh shut up, you big baby." Hauwa scoffed.
" One of you should stand up." The teacher finally reached their seat.
" Come on! Stand up! Move it!" She said and they flinched a bit but before Adam could stand up, " okay, ma'am." Hauwa stood up flashing Adam a smile and he smiled back apologetically.
' it's okay we'll text each other ' she mouthed to Adam and he nodded.
As the teacher walked her out of the bus James squealed." Seriously." Olamide said.
" What, I did the girl a favour. Her boy friend is in group A anyway, she should join him there.
" You're exhausting at times James." Adam said.
" Yo!! Wetin dey sup for this bus na what's popping. " Wesley Perkins entered and most of the students cheered happily as Wesley went round giving handshakes.
(Yo, what's sup, what's popping!)
" He's the substitute? Oh... Kill me.... " James groaned.
" Serves you right. " Olamide said.
" Wait how is any of this even my fault???" James whined.
