After four hours of writing, chatting, laughing and occasionally napping, they arrived Jos, plateau state.
" We made it kids." Miss. Amina, the literature teacher and also one of the six chaperones that accompanied the kids announced.
The ones awake tapped the sleeping ones and soon enough the bus got lively and roudy as the excited children chatted.
The bus directly drove to Rayfield where the hotel was located. Just then someone raised a song,
" jeje jeje we dey go oo, jeje... We dey go oo, jeje....." Everyone joined squealing and clapping in excitement as the bus drove in to Steffan Hotels and suites where they'll spend the next three weeks.
The staff that volunteered as chaperones all had their duties and saw to it that the students were in order.
Miss. Amina Mustapha— the literature teacher, Mrs God's love Yackson— the biology teacher and Mr. Thaddeus Dangyal were in charge of supervising students every activities to ensure that nothing inappropriate or harmful was done.
Mr. Faruk Etsu— the social studies teacher was in charge of food, refreshments, lightening and other basic needs.
Mr. Olugboyega Olatubosun— the Geography teacher and also a member of the disciplinary committee, was in charge of discipline.
Mrs. Chidera Chukwunonso— the P.E teacher was in charge of all out door activities.
Then of course there was the bus driver and a qualified nurse from the school clinic.
In total it was seven Adults and about 120 girls and 140 boys.
They had booked 54 family sized rooms and the chaperones assigned them to their respective rooms, five students to each room.
There was grumblings and mummurs from the students who all wanted to share rooms with their friends so Mr. Thaddeus spoke, " I know you all want to be in same rooms with your friends and I'm afraid that's not possible.." the students grumbled again.
" Silence!!!" Mr. Olugboyega said and they immediately hushed down.
" Thank you Mr. Olu." Mr. Thaddeus said, " we've come up with a way to be fair to everyone, it's up to your luck to decide who you'll share a room with. Miss Amina," he paused and miss Amina continued, raising two brown carton boxes up.
" There are room numbers in here for boys and girls respectively.. everyone would pick just one piece of the folded paper and whatever number you get would be your room for the next three weeks." She said and the noise resumed.
" I really hope we get fixed in the same rooms.. " James told Adam and Olamide and they both sighed, hopefully.
Minutes later they had all picked and they had their room numbers. Adam was paired with Olamide but unfortunately James wasn't together with them. But since all boys were in one floor, they would still be able to see each other.
" Room 124. Adam Yisa, Olamide Daniels, Wesley Perkins, David chu and Khalifa Olatunji." Mr. Thaddeus called and the boys went in.
" Thanks, Mr T. " Wesley said, stretching out a fist to the teacher who gave him a stern look.
" Okay, my bad." Wesley said and some students chuckled as he entered the room.
Once the door closed,
" Heady heady, my guy, what's up nah." Wesley greeted Adam who forced a smile and murmured a ' fine ' and Wesley greeted the others.
" Omo, this hotel make sense sha, see fine place abeg.." Wesley looked out the window.
(Boy, this hotel's nice. So fine.)
Wesley was an art student and wasn't a prefect so Adam didn't know him that much.
" Awfa guys I saw some hot hot ladies on our way up here and one of them slipped this note to me." He said giving David chu the note whose face went red in embarrassment before passing it to the rest.
" Awfa we go sha go the bar abi? Make we go flex small." He winked.
(So, we're going to the bar, right?. Let's go and enjoy ourselves.)
Adam and Olamide looked at each other.
' this is gonna be a long three weeks ' Adam thought.

Adam was awakened by his alarm at 5:30 am , after saying his prayers he woke the others and they took turns using the bathroom.
" Why's your face like that" he asked Olamide who had a frown on his face. David chu had just come out of the bathroom and was drying his hair while Wesley Perkins just entered.
" I can't seem to connect the wifi, does it have a password? " Olamide asked.
" Probably. Look around, they might have dropped it somewhere." Adam answered.
" Here you go." A timid voice was heard and both boys were a bit shocked, that was the first time they've heard the shy Chinese boy speak.
" Thank you, David." Olamide said, taking the paper from David chu. Adam smiled as he put on a black jacket over his white school t-shirt and black pants.
" Yo, guys!" Khalifa Olatunji who just came back from morning prayers at the mosque said when he entered the room.
" Sup." Adam answered.
" They said all prefects should report downstairs in 2 minutes. " Khalifa Olatunji told them.
" Who said? " Olamide asked.
" Why are they calling us." Adam said and Khalifa Olatunji shrugged.
As the two boys rushed out they noticed someone quietly tagging along. David chu.
" Oh my god, is he a prefect?" Olamide whispered.
" Yeah.. he's the library prefect...I think." Adam told him.
" Bruh....I never even knew he existed talk less of him being a prefect." Olamide said and Adam chuckled.
" Let's wait for him." Adam suggested.
" If I collect for Mr. Olu hand because we reach there late—"
(If I get into trouble with Mr olu because I reached late—)
" We won't be late." Adam insisted.
" David, hurry up, let's go!" He said to the shy boy who hastened to catch up with them.
" Ugggh" Olamide groaned as they all ran downstairs.
