It took me a long time to process everything.
From dying, meeting a goddess, learning that my life had been utterly ruined due to a god's mistake, and now being offered reincarnation in the Harry Potter world—it all felt too surreal. A part of me still couldn't believe it. Why me? What happens next? Would I even be able to enjoy this new life while carrying the weight of my past?
I was confused—very confused. I didn't know how to feel. Sad? Frustrated? Excited? It was a mixture of everything. My emotions were in complete turmoil.
As I struggled with my thoughts, my eyes landed on a small bird perched on a branch. A parent bird stood beside it, nudging it forward. The little bird hesitated, chirping in distress. It was scared. But the parent paid no heed—it gave the baby bird a gentle push.
For a second, my heart clenched as I watched it fall.
But then—it flew.
A small, involuntary smile appeared on my face.
"Your past memories will be erased, but in return, you will receive a power similar to precognition and divination," the goddess said, her voice gentle. "You don't need to worry about past trauma or depression. Like that baby bird, you must let go of your fears. What awaits you in your next life is love and happiness. Perhaps even a little mischief." She blinked playfully, making me chuckle.
A strange warmth spread in my chest. For the first time in years, I felt light.
Perhaps sensing my excitement, the goddess smiled. "Now, it's time to decide your five wishes. But remember, you cannot wish for divine powers—gods do not like sharing their abilities with mortals. And with your arrival, the Harry Potter world will undergo significant changes. You will only notice them after you turn thirteen."
I nodded. I was ready.
"Take your time," she continued. "I am more than happy to offer suggestions or tweak your wishes to your advantage." A mischievous glint appeared in her eyes, reminding me of the old cook from my orphanage. She always had the same expression when she caught us stealing sweets—she never scolded us, only played along.
Perhaps sensing my nostalgia, the goddess smiled knowingly, urging me to focus on the future.
Time passed as I pondered my choices. The sun had already hidden behind the valley mountains, and the moon had graced the night sky with its presence. The stars twinkled, their glow adding to the ethereal beauty of the surroundings. A small pavilion stood illuminated by a warm fire—not too hot, just comforting.
After a long discussion, I finally settled on my five wishes.
But before that, I asked the goddess, "What kind of changes will occur in the magical world?"
Her answer left me speechless.
The new Earth would be as large as Jupiter, vastly expanding the magical world. It would no longer consist of just wizards and witches but would also include elves, dwarves, and Atlanteans, each with unique abilities.
The elves were divided into two factions.
Sun-blessed elves, under the protection of the Sun God, wielded powers of nature, healing, and powerful defensive magic.
Moon-blessed elves, under the Moon Goddess, possessed heightened hunting abilities, stealth, and the power to communicate with wolves and owls.
The dwarves were masters of alchemy, their skills surpassing even goblins. Blessed by the God of Fire and Metallurgy, their knowledge was so advanced that goblins had tried countless times to steal it—only to fail. Dwarven secrets could only be wielded by those with dwarven blood, making them a formidable race.
The Atlanteans, on the other hand, were an oceanic civilization. Blessed by the God of Oceans and Storms, they thrived in underwater cities and were the most skilled seafarers and voyagers. Greedier than goblins, they amassed wealth through trade and conquests, and their god's wrath was feared—capable of razing entire cities to the ground.
Then came humans—the most mysterious of all.
Unlike the other races, humans had no divine blessings. Long ago, a god sought power and waged war against others, only to fall in battle. But gods cannot die. His final resting place lay deep within the mountains, where his last breath echoed for eternity.
Curious by nature, humans could not resist the mystery of their fallen god. Despite warnings, three mighty kingdoms sent an army of one million soldiers to retrieve the god's remains.
But years passed, and the entire army vanished.
Eventually, people moved on. Life continued. The soldiers became a forgotten legend.
Until one day—a single soldier returned.
Upon hearing the news, the three kings rushed to meet him, unaware that this encounter would change everything forever.
The soldier was merely a trap set by the fallen god. Upon his return, he unknowingly unleashed the Seven Sins upon humanity, ensuring that the god would live forever. This proved a terrifying truth—gods can never die; they will always exist in some form or another.
The gods and goddesses, angry, disappointed, and betrayed, had warned humans against venturing into the mountains, yet their warnings were ignored. As punishment, the gods cursed humanity, stripping them of the ability to wield the elemental powers of fire, water, air, earth, and spirit.
But not all gods agreed with this decision. Some goddesses, seeing the suffering of innocent people, intervened. The curse affected even those who had no part in the original mistake—humans now lived in constant fear, depression, and suffering, abandoned by the gods.
Years passed, and eventually, the gods relented—but not without conditions. Instead of bestowing elemental blessings, they taught humans skills such as transfiguration, potions, charms, alchemy, and divination. However, due to the previous curse, not all humans could access magic—only those born with it could learn and wield these powers.
This led to jealousy and conflict. Wars broke out among humans, fueled by envy toward those who possessed magic. In response, the elves, dwarves, Atlanteans, and magical humans united, forming a council and signing a pact to separate themselves from non-magical society.
Generations passed, and the magical world remained hidden—until Grindelwald, the first Dark Lord, rose to power. For the first time, magic and the other races were exposed to world leaders, forcing them to acknowledge their existence. But fearing another catastrophe, the magical world was once again veiled from common knowledge.
The goddess smiled and said, "I can only reveal this much. The rest, you will learn after you turn thirteen."
After hours of discussion, I finalized my wishes.
For my first wish, I wanted to control an element. Since humans were barred from wielding fire, water, air, earth, and spirit, I found a loophole—I could control time and space instead. However, wielding both would be too dangerous for a mortal, so I chose time.
For a brief moment, I considered using my power to go back and save Ariana Dumbledore. But the goddess's expression turned stern, making my body freeze. I felt an overwhelming sense of fear—the undeniable difference between a mortal and a divine being.
"Mess with time, and time will mess with you," she warned.
Sweat dripped down my back as I realized how reckless my thoughts had been. But then, she smirked and added, "You can't save her in the past... but you can 'kidnap' her into the present. Imagine the look on Dumbledore's face when Ariana suddenly appears when the main story begins!"
My mind went blank. Was a goddess really encouraging me to cheat fate?
Perhaps my shock was evident, because she laughed. Just like that, she returned to her cheerful, neighborly old lady persona, as if the previous warning had never happened. But I knew it was real. Her words echoed in my mind, and I swore to never recklessly alter the main storyline.
For my second wish, I wanted intelligence and comprehension skills.
In my past life, I had been bullied, ignored, and left to struggle alone. I wasn't particularly smart or talented—I had to work twice as hard just to barely survive. I didn't want to live like that again.
Surprisingly, the goddess agreed without hesitation. In fact, she even added a system for me—one with an inbuilt learning space where I could train and experiment freely.
With my time magic, I could slow down or speed up time within this space, allowing me to practice alchemy, potions, transfiguration, and charms without worrying about the outside world.
Thus, I received three abilities:
1. Memory Palace – A perfect memory.
2. Comprehensive Talent – The ability to grasp new concepts instantly.
3. Requirement System – A hidden system that protected my thoughts from mind-reading magic, though it couldn't shield me from a god's power.
And with that, my first two wishes were granted.
