Falling For The Look

Andrew strode into the study fully, a grin all over his face. One could tell there was more to his look and his impromptu visit.

"And see who we have here!"

"It's Liam! I had no idea you would be here; it's been a while since I last saw you!" he said, "acting surprised.

"The least even an illiterate should do is knock, but I don't know where to put you," Liam mumbled with an eye roll.

His childhood enemy is here, and he feels like punching the living day out of him, but he has other problems to tend to, and Andrew is the least of his problems.

"Can you step out a bit, Andrew? We were in the middle of an important discussion," Thomas said with a smile at the corner of his lips.

Liam's hand fisted in a ball as he stared at the smile on the older man's lips.

He knows how to smile well with his nephew but can't even do what his only grandson wants; life is truly unfair.

"Alright, granduncle. I will be with my uncle and aunt downstairs, and I can't wait to catch up with you, Liam." He said with a huge grin as he stormed out of the study.

"I don't think there is anything left to discuss. You have made your intentions known, and I have to do what you want 'cause I don't even have a life of my own, and I'm sure you have a lot to catch up with him."

"And as you want, I will wait and prepare for the marriage just like you want me to, "Liam said, getting up.

"Do you think this is just me imposing my decision on you?" Thomas asked calmly. His look softened as he stared at his grandson, who didn't seem interested in what he had to say.

"Let's forget about this grandfather. I will prepare as you want," he said, walking away.

"I guess it would take a while for him to realize that I'm doing all of this because of him," Thomas mumbled as he stared at his back.

All of this is to continue his family legacy. He only has his father, who has Liam, which is another reason he wants him to marry a good woman and have more kids than they do.

Eric had trained Aurora well, and he did not doubt that she would make a good wife for his grandson. For the little time I have spent with her, I do not doubt she is the best for him.

Liam walked down the stairs angrily but paused when he saw the troublemaker sitting close to his mom.

His frown deepened as he watched his mother smile like a fulfilled woman. Andrew has a way of making everyone in the family smile, including him.

And even his mother, who was sad a few minutes ago, was now smiling; obviously, she had forgotten that he existed.

"Liam," Martha called, getting up as soon as she saw her son.

The old Mr. Stone was known for being vicious when making decisions, and his words were always final.

Being in the family felt nice. The older man welcomed her with open arms and was very ambitious. She had always dreamed of bonding with her daughter-in-law since Liam was her only child, but the older man snatched that from her again.

"Are you okay?" She asked, folding her fingers, a habit she does whenever she is nervous.

"I will take my leave now, "Liam said, trying to walk away.

"You should sleep over Liam. I have missed you, and I need to catch up with you. Just stay over tonight." Andrew said with a pout.

"I don't have the time for that; I have other important things to attend to, "Liam said, trying to walk away, but he quickly held him back.

"Common, you should grow past this. You are older than that. We should bond well since we are family, " he said with a sly smile.

"I will be on my way, Mom, " he said instead of forcefully snapping his hand from his pocket.

"Wait!" Andrew said, making him pause without turning to stare at him.

"This is why you will remain forgotten in this family. If you wish to get everyone's attention like I do, you should stick close to me." Andrew whispered to him.

Aurora's POV

I walked to Lisa's office to see that she was busy with various files.

"You are here." She said with a smile as soon as she saw me.

"Yes, I'm returning from the hospital, and he is improving. I hope his healing is perfected. I can't wait to have him by my side again, "I said with a smile.

"I hope so, too." She said, passing a file to me.

"What's this? "I asked, glancing at the paper.

"The result of the research is that everything you need to know about Liam Stone is there."

"But then I'm curious about something, and I can't hide this curiosity of mine."

"What are you curious about? "I asked with my gaze still fixed on the words written on the paper.

"Why do you want to know about Liam Stone? Is this about business or something more personal?" She asked.

We have been friends for a long time and do everything together. However, we respect each other's privacy and share just what we need to share.

"Well, you know, I don't even know who this guy is, and I didn't care to know, but it all changed when I received that phone call."

"My gramps wants me to get married to this guy all in the name of a family's legacy I know nothing about.

As it stands, I have to do what he wants, but I should at least know a little about this guy so I would know who he wants me to spend eternity with," I said, staring at the picture in my hand.

If handsome were a man, then this guy was attractive. Just glancing at him, I'm hooked—no, the right word is attracted.

"I am attracted to this guy. "

"What?" Lisa said in shock.

"I love this guy already! "I repeated.

"You can't love him, Aurora."

"What do you mean by that?"
