Chapter 3: The Hunt for a Shiny Beedrill
Ron had originally planned to stay another night at the Pokémon Center, but after seeing the Sweet Honey (Condensed Edition) in his inventory, he immediately packed up and headed toward Viridian Forest.
After all, the temptation of capturing a top-tier Pokémon was too great to ignore.
Once he finished collecting his Pokémon, he ventured deeper into the forest, stopping at a fenced-off area. In front of him was a large white sign with red lettering:
🚨 BEEDRILL TERRITORY – NO ENTRY! 🚨
---
The Plan: Targeting Beedrill
Beedrill was the final evolution of Weedle, and more importantly, it had a Mega Evolution.
If he wanted a strong Bug-type, Beedrill was his best option.
Scyther was technically a better choice, but finding a top-tier Scyther was nearly impossible.
Due to its rarity, the chance of a single Scyther being top-quality was very low.
On the other hand, Beedrill swarms were large, which greatly increased the odds of encountering a top-tier one.

Attracting the Pokémon
Ron opened the bottle of Sweet Honey (Condensed Edition).
Instantly, a rich, sweet aroma spread through the air.
Unable to resist, he dipped a finger into the honey and tasted it.
A wave of happiness rushed over him, the flavor so sweet and overwhelming that he felt as if he were floating.
Shaking himself out of it, he placed the bottle on the ground and stepped back.
Above him, the sky darkened—a massive swarm of Pokémon began to gather.
Countless Caterpie, Weedle, Butterfree, and Beedrill filled the area.
Even a few Scyther and Pinsir appeared, but after checking their stats, they were all of medium quality.
Not good enough.
Ron remained calm as the Pokémon stared at the honey hungrily—but none of them rushed forward to take it.
Strange… Why aren't they fighting over it?
The only explanation was the system's ability at work—keeping the wild Pokémon restrained.
---
The Shiny Beedrill Appears
Suddenly, the swarm parted.
A larger Beedrill descended from the sky, its greenish-yellow exoskeleton shimmering in the light.
Its deep sapphire eyes glowed beautifully, contrasting against its intimidating presence.
Ron's eyes widened—a shiny Beedrill!
He immediately sent out Charmeleon, picked up the Sweet Honey, and smirked.
"Want this honey? If you beat my Charmeleon, I'll give it to you. But if you lose—"
He tossed a Poké Ball in his hand.
"You'll be mine, and you'll still get the honey. What do you say?"
Beedrill lifted its twin stingers, signaling to the swarm.
In an instant, the other Beedrill retreated, clearing a battlefield for the fight.
Even the Butterfree and Caterpie backed away, seemingly respecting Beedrill's authority.
---
The Battle Begins
"Charmeleon, say hello with Ember!"
Charmeleon unleashed a shower of embers, but Beedrill swiftly blocked most of them, swinging its sharp needles to deflect the attack.
Only a few sparks landed, slightly scorching its exoskeleton.
Ron nodded in approval.
"Its reaction speed is insane… and its talent is obvious."
Beedrill retaliated, spraying Poison Sting from its mouth.
"Dodge with Smokescreen! Then follow up with Outrage!"
A thick black cloud of smoke billowed out, engulfing the battlefield.
Beedrill's Poison Sting shot into the fog but missed completely.
Confused, Beedrill hovered, looking around—only for Charmeleon to strike from behind, landing a direct hit with Dragon Rush!
As the smoke cleared, Beedrill collapsed, eyes swirling in defeat.
Ron immediately threw a Poké Ball.
It shook once… twice… click!
🎉 Shiny Beedrill Captured! 🎉

Beedrill Joins the Team
Ron released Beedrill from its Poké Ball, tending to its wounds.
Then, he held up the bottle of Sweet Honey and offered it.
"As promised, here's your reward."
Beedrill happily dug in, eagerly devouring the honey.
But before it could finish, Charmeleon casually scooped out nearly half, much to Beedrill's horror.
A moment later, Eevee appeared, gazing at Beedrill with big, watery eyes.
Beedrill hesitated…
…then reluctantly handed over half of what was left.
By the time Eevee was satisfied, Beedrill was left with only a quarter of the honey it had originally received.
Ron laughed, patting Beedrill's head.
"Don't worry, buddy. There'll be plenty more rewards in the future. I'm aiming to be a Pokémon Master, after all."
Hearing this, Beedrill quickly finished what little honey remained, making sure no one else could take it.
Ron then checked Beedrill's status.
---
Pokémon Status: Shiny Beedrill
Pokémon: Beedrill (Shiny)
Level: 17
Gender: Male
Height: 100 cm
Weight: 29.5 kg
Ability: Sniper
Moves: Poison Sting, String Shot, Harden, Pin Missile, Fury Cutter, Rage, Pursuit
Ron grinned.
"Hidden Ability: Sniper!"
The Sniper ability increases damage on critical hits, making Beedrill a perfect sweeper.
"If I equip a Scope Lens and teach it Focus Energy, every hit will be a critical strike…"
But when Ron checked the mall, he sighed.
🔹 Scope Lens: 10,000 Poké Dollars
🔹 His current funds: 3,000 Poké Dollars
He still had a long way to go.

Next Goal: Butterfree Farming
After the Pokémon finished eating, the other Bug-types dispersed.
Ron packed up, recalling Charmeleon and Beedrill, leaving only Eevee out.
He planned to raise Eevee's friendship to eventually evolve it into Sylveon.
Placing Eevee on his shoulder, he opened his electronic map, searching for any lakes in Viridian Forest.
Unfortunately, there were none.
This meant he would have to train Beedrill, Eevee, and Charmeleon before challenging Pewter Gym.
Luckily, his double EXP cheat would help them level up fast.

Hunting Butterfree
Ron chased after a large group of Butterfree, avoiding Beedrill's main nest.
Unlike Beedrill, Butterfree were gentle and wouldn't aggressively attack intruders.
This made them perfect opponents for farming EXP.
As he ran through the forest, he was surprised at how fast he was moving.
His movement speed cheat had fully integrated, making him faster and stronger.
This made him think about unlocking other cheats, like expanded vision or obstacle ignoring.
But then, he remembered the insane popularity point costs…
"One step at a time…" he muttered. "There will be bread… there will be horses… and there will be milk too." 🎯
